Shaun Cassidy was my teen idol! I loved the hardy boys/nancy drew mysteries on TV.
I think I might bust out the limoncello to feel like I am there with you....

I loved Shaun as well. I had this tshirt with his pic on it (you know what we know consider an iron on transfer) and my name below it. I loved that shirt....Hardy Boys...oh memories!

I can't remember my first concert, it might have been when I was in my 20's UB40 in Philly.

The kids first concert was Smash Mouth, ok Nan has a story again....skip ahead if these bore you.

The band that played at our wedding was The Gents, it was their last gig, a guitar player left to join another band...Smash Mouth. The drummer was also invited to join but declined. The drummer is a brother of one of DH's best friends (in our wedding party, as a groomsman) long story short, we saw Smash Mouth at the San Mateo fair and went back stage to meet all the guys and say hi to Greg (guitar player)

kids and lead singer, can't remember his name

Molly looks so young (& little) :sad2: :sad1:

That is cool. Did the kids like it or were they too young? I was thinking that both of the kids look young.

I thought you were waiting for me.

Since it seems you were all talking of concerts....my first was Duran Duran.

Actually I was just holding tickets for a weekend trip to NYC in June to see REM (my all time favorite band). They just released an album last week and are touring again. The only time they are on the west coast I will be on the Magic.....so, my girlfriend bought ticks to see them at Jones Beach today and invited me. I would fly out on a Thurs and fly home on Saturday. crazy, but it is fun to dream. I probably won't be able to do it, but I'm hoping I can figure something out.

They typically ask for volunteers to take a different cruise.

Woody

Wow. I can't imagine the anger which would flow through the phone line to the person on the other end if they called and asked me to take a different cruise. We had a cat 4 room and were actually lucky enough to receive a very good phone call from them asking if we wanted to upgrade to a cat 3 room which was what we had originally tried to book. We jumped at the opportunity and have an assigned room so I guess I won't receive a call and have to yell at them. Thank goodness. It isn't easy to re-arrange things for me to get a different month off in my job. The August Panama Canal cruise wasn't an option for us because our auditors are here at that time.

We booked the very first day it came open and to this day I feel so lucky to have a cabin on that cruise because so many people didn't get booked that day. I personally know someone from work who tried. His daughter is a TA and even she didn't manage to get him a cabin.

We are truly blessed to be going on the Panama Canal cruise. So many times in life I have felt I am the luckiest girl in the world and this is just another one of those times.
