What is the entertaining series?

There are presentations on napkin folding, appetizers, desserts, fruit carving etc. put on by different chefs and cast members.

Well, my vision is partially back....I am making an appt with the eye doc for Monday in case it is still bad. It got pretty scary last night......

They have both asked to have their ears pierced, so this will be a test if they really want it.

Besides, I'm the one with the needle phobia and I have to get mine too, and quite possibly the tetanus too!

I guess I'm closer to Mexico, huh? Nan is totally gonna smack me! Maybe you should ask the doctor because we go to Mexico all the time so maybe we are used to whatever they have! My kids have all the shots and I'm sure yours do to so it would just be you and John.

Ken, I hate needles, when I was 9 I moved school districts and DM lost my records, so I had to have all my shots again (mump, measels, german measels, and tetnus). OMG, I can still remember that day, . I had to do the series of three shot for Hep A/B in 06 that was so not fun.

Yes, it seemed like such a gracious offer...but then when she called this evening and said she would do it, and sorry she didn't call earlier but friends took her out...I just got a bit frustrated. It seemed somewhat like an afterthought and I'm not sure what I expected. Maybe a plane flying overhead saying "THANK YOU LISA YOU ARE THE BEST" or something little like that...






All true, and thank you all for your input. It really does help. I've read all your comments to DH. He is completely supportive of not going forward with this...I do wish we had thought about it a long time ago and got her her own room. That would have made it a lot easier to consider

wow, the Flower and Garden show sounds great. This is the first year in a while that we haven't been! Maybe we'll have to take a day trip.

I'll try to work on uploading some of the photos from our trip. With the postings on this thread being so poignant, I makes me realized how truely blessed I am.

I have been redoing the inside of my place so it is all pretty much pottery barn or restoration hardware. You see I like black wood and not too many places sell nice solid items in black besides these two stores. Plus the kids both have the pottery barn bedroom sets that are really great for organizing their rooms. But as far as the wall/stateroom door thing My walls have a bunch of black PB frames on them so the answer to your ? is yes LOL.

Not much time to do anything other than check in quickly and say good morning. Thank you to all of you once again for your prayers and thoughts.

They removed a large portion of my brother's transverse colon yesterday, along with part of the small intestine where it had crossed over. They also removed his appendix. It was a fairly large tumor. It was cancerous of course, but his liver looked good, although the lymph nodes looked enlarged according to the surgeon. In his estimation it was a 3-b cancer.

He will be in the hospital 7-10 days, and then off work (he is a teacher) for 6 weeks so this ends the school year for him. After about 4 weeks they will start chemo, and he has a good chance of full recovery, but with cancer you never know. He was in surgical ICU all day yesterday and sedated because of all the weight he carries.

Okay, I read the story. Seems that the robber was kicking the office door while my DH, a bartender and a cook were trying to keep the door closed. He fired multiple rounds through the door while yelling, Give me the money!. My DH was hit by one of the shots and later died. No one else was hit. The bartender pulled my husband into a back room after he was shot away from the robber.

I have always believed that we all have a certain number of days on this earth, we don't know how many that is. In my beliefs, only God knows. I have to believe that it was my DH's time to go. I have to believe that my DH had a wife and two children who loved him dearly, and he will be missed by many many people. My best friend told me that I was married for 18 years to a man that I loved and loved me back. She said I was lucky to have had him and that not everyone can say that. She wasn't being mean, just trying to get me to cherish the love that we had and concentrate on that rather than the loss that I feel. Some days I can. Other days I can't.

Sorry to be so serious. Go give your kids and your spouse a big hug and tell them that you love them! I guess that is the point of this post.

I doubt I'll catch up before you're on the next thread, but I'll try. Super busy today at work but wanted to say HI. I'm back on page 23, skimming like crazy, but have too much work here to get any further probably.

Super fun weekend though! It was finally warm enough to do outside stuff! So on Saturday, after one of Tyler's classmate's birthday party, I took him to a playdate at a park with another classmate. Sunday we spent the day at the Detroit Zoo.

Holly... don't bother.. .nothing earth shattering happened... and Nan needed Chocolate really bad if you know what I mean...
