I don't know, I have a Dr's appt. today, a check up on the meds that she prescribed for sleeping and depression. I am going to ask about the xray and about any immunizations that we might need for this trip.



Thanks, it is horrific. I am meeting with the DA on Friday morning and I am not looking forward to it. I haven't even had the courage to read the news reports, but I guess I should, so I can answer people's questions. So far I have just said that I haven't read it. I have heard reports of people who were there.

Tammy, I read your comment, and I have to tell you that I think you don't need to do anything or read anything for anyone but yourself and kids. This is your situtation, no one should place any kind of requirement on you for information. I so wish I could offer you a sheild away from all this. Just a few short weeks and you will be on the boat and we are not those people, we will offer solace and smilies away from all this sadness.

Okay, I read the story. Seems that the robber was kicking the office door while my DH, a bartender and a cook were trying to keep the door closed. He fired multiple rounds through the door while yelling, Give me the money!. My DH was hit by one of the shots and later died. No one else was hit. The bartender pulled my husband into a back room after he was shot away from the robber.

I have always believed that we all have a certain number of days on this earth, we don't know how many that is. In my beliefs, only God knows. I have to believe that it was my DH's time to go. I have to believe that my DH had a wife and two children who loved him dearly, and he will be missed by many many people. My best friend told me that I was married for 18 years to a man that I loved and loved me back. She said I was lucky to have had him and that not everyone can say that. She wasn't being mean, just trying to get me to cherish the love that we had and concentrate on that rather than the loss that I feel. Some days I can. Other days I can't.

Sorry to be so serious. Go give your kids and your spouse a big hug and tell them that you love them! I guess that is the point of this post.

So, everybody please keep your fingers crossed that Tyler doesn't get kicked out of spring break day care at the school this week. He was already kicked out of the after school care last Thurs and was also not allowed to attend the first day of spring break care on Fri. I'm on pins & needles all day here and jump whenever the phone rings! The teacher told me she thinks he'll do fine because it's LESS structured. Um.....LACK of structure is where he goes wacky!

FINGERS CROSSED EVERYBODY! I do have a back up for this week. My friend back home is off all week and offered to watch him if he gets kicked out, BUT she's an hour and a half away, so I'm really hoping I don't have to use that option. Dang kid!

Oh I hope things go ok with Tyler as you do need this holiday care for him.

I think you have managed to set an alarm somehow for when we are nearing a pirate!!!

I think on Thursday afternoon I'll finally have a break at 3pm. I'll call you before then. I cram in 3 schools on these trips so other than today they keep me talking all day and night!

darn it, I think we are heading out by that time on Thursday for HMB/dinner in the city, weekend in Shasta County for a gokart race.

If some time frees up between now and then call me, short notice is ok, just call if you feel like it

Serious protests in London, Paris and soon to be SF against China human rights. Scary stuff, Marr, no flame for us...too much controversy I think.

Glad to hear Manuel is out of surgery and recovering. Sounds like a long road ahead. Will there be support around him (& you) during the coming weeks and months? You both have our continued prayers.

I thought we were good last night. I still couldn't sleep after I got off but I refused to come back because I needed to rest. I have only cut Brooke's hair once. I will give her a trim before the cruise because it is uneven now.

funny I couldn't sleep either, but I forced myself to stay in bed and I ended up sleeping way in until 10:30!

Thank you for the advice. We found out we probably could get an accessible room for her, but unfortunately it is pretty expensive ($5600 for one person). Also, it would be on a different floor on the other side of the ship...I think we will be passing on having her come. I feel pretty guilty, but do need to focus on our four boys and DH. We really need the time together.

I hear ya! We'll get them when they are looped from the shots around the ship!

They have both asked to have their ears pierced, so this will be a test if they really want it.

Besides, I'm the one with the needle phobia and I have to get mine too, and quite possibly the tetanus too!

Oh Ken that was such a father/man thing to say. Getting Shots is SOOOO not like getting your ears pierced. With the ears they get to immediately look and see how pretty they are, shots ugly red welt!!! Don't muddy the two together, they may loose their enthusamism for their ears
