I understand...we'll have to share stories then for the 2 different ones and compare!

I'm trying to remember who was going to join me and help hold my hand AND push me off the platform!

Deb - I believe someone (somewhere) said that they do have pics to sell....if that is the case I will be buying at least 1 - got to prove that I did it!

By the time you go on this cruise, you'll already be working on your new job and making lots more money. YEA! Does the new place have any kind of benefits for you? Maybe tuition reimbursement??? How about paid days off?
I don't know anything about the job because they haven't posted an ad yet. I just want out of where I am. Probably no benefits because I have to do part time still, and definitely no tuition reimbursement. Law firms just don't do that for law school.

Holly, Will they let you take the time off, is the bigger question.
Well, that would have to be a condition of my employment since this has been booked for so long. If they say they won't hire me because of this, then I'll stay where I am and take the next opportunity that comes along. :thumbsup2

Oh I am sure they have professionals follow you and video you the whole time...and then try and sell it to you for lots of money! I hope they take some still pics too....video not so sure I would want, but a pic would be cool. So far I know it is Scott, Lisa & I going on the one(Monica we will miss you), maybe I'll try and bring a small cheapie disposable camera and see if we can sneak it with us and get some pics. Does shutters develop film?

Shutters only does digital.....I had an underwater camera with pics of the sea turtles in Barbados and Shutters could not devleop it. I had to wait until I got off the ship.

Ok, I'm off here for a little while, I'm supposed to be paying some bills today.....and I have to get to my exercises too. Later!

Oh my, it's past 11 already...let's hope the afternoon goes as quickly.
I hope we get our DCL booklet this weekend! That would be great!

Thought you guys would get a kick out of this:

A couple of weeks before the med repo a bunch of folks from Orlando got together had a big dismeet party and made a banner to hang over the side of the ship. My dad took these pictures.

I cannot remember which one I was watching after I watched the website.

Areyou making another BANNER??

Is there a 12 step program for DIS addiction?:lmao:

Siggies will be the next to go.

No:sad2:

Ok what is going on? Is our other thread gone for good?
I don't think so. Let's hope not, cause there was some great info there. Even thought it would take some digging to find.:rotfl:

My name is Deb and I am a DISaholic too!!! But I'm kinda proud of it!!!:lmao:

I agree it is something to be proud of.:thumbsup2
By the way, we got our cruise packet last night :cool1:  :cool1:
We are still waiting.:sad2:

I hope we get ours too. Since we are going to have rain all weekend it would be nice to have it to go over. For those that have already gotten theirs, does it list excuresions times?
Maybe I will work on our fish extender this weekend too. I think it's a stay at home with a fire going weekend for us.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: OMG

I know, I can't believe that price! I know it is two cat higher than mine but it is double the price.

Oh no, never saw it - Damn

Wow, bagpipes and see a Haggis. Have you taste it? with neeps and tattie (turnip and potatoes):thumbsup2

Scottishwee35:thumbsup2

No, did not taste it - I read what it was, and decided no. They brought it in on a big plate, escorted by bagpipes and kilts!

Goodmorning all from the stormy west! Well, I went to a parent mtg last night to one of our 4 perspective schools for kindergarten. It is the most expensive at $15K with an additional $2 of giving and uniforms UGH! While this school really interferes with my cruising, it was fantastic. I've taught drug ed at the school for 7 years and I learned all kinds of stuff I didn't know about it. 22 openings for 133 apps:scared1: Came back and the dis was gone. Did anything important happen? I'll repost the dismeets and change the post listings in my signature. PS: we have 3 more storms coming our way this weekend.

Holy Cow! . . . I need someone to pick me up off the floor - I just fainted . . . :faint:

Our school district spends about $7,000 per student, and our community thinks it is extravagant and does not want to pass a levy. What we could do at $15,000 per student . . .

I know, I can't believe that price! I know it is two cat higher than mine but it is double the price.

I think the real shocker is that someone will pay that price.:scared1: I wonder how long it will take for someone to snatch it up.

Shutters only does digital.....I had an underwater camera with pics of the sea turtles in Barbados and Shutters could not develop it. I had to wait until I got off the ship.

One handy little item I bought for my last cruise was an "aquapak".

Basically it is a plastic bag you put your camera in and then you can take pictures underwater. It does take a little getting used to in order to use the buttons and such, but it worked pretty good for some of the pics I took last time at CC. Also it isn't nearly as expensive as buying an underwater kit for your digital camera.

This way you can use your digital camera and take underwater pics and if you need to get them developed at Shutters you can do it.

A little tip that suggest to "test" it before every use tho:

Put a kleenex in the bag, seal it up and put it under the water. The kleenex, if it gets wet will tell you instantly if there is any water inside the bag. I do this every time before I use my aquapac just in case.

Here are some of the pics I took with it in 2006 at CC:

For me it was a little windy that day and I was fighting the wind blowing me around a bit so it was tough to keep steady to take the pics. That is why this one shows the ray at the top of the pic. He was in the middle when I thought I took it, honest!

Anyhow, just thought I would share this little contraption for those that might want to take their digital cams into the water. It has worked great for me.
