Of all things, I'm now having difficulty finding people to sub for me and lead my Sunday WW meetings.

Last week, on a Friday night (of all things) at a WW staff meeting I met 2 women, both new who were all bubbly (I hate that) and were offering to sub for anyone when they needed it.

They both turned me down.

I would have thought these meetings would be snapped up, as they are 3 back-to-back Sunday meetings, which is easy to do, and a bit more lucrative.

I'll be missing 3 Sundays, and I only have a sub leader for 1 of the Sundays.

I'm now in a bit of a panic, casting about to find someone to take over the two uncovered Sundays for me.

On another WW note, the first week of our staff spring challenge is coming to an end. I have to weigh in on Sunday and send my weight to my WW boss.

My goal is to get back to goal in time for the cruise. Otherwise, I may need to pack a can of Crisco, a shoehorn and a roll of duct tape so I can get into the tuxes.

.

Hum, me thinks those who have been relying on your leadership need to step up to the plate and help out.......isn't that part of the reason for success of the program - support?

Me thinks, me is very opinionated, but.......

Don't forget to pre buy your checked luggage. If not it will be $10 a piece, if you do it's only $5 a piece. They don't allow you any luggage allowance!

????????????????? Help - never done this before -- what is the deal? Sorry if this is duplicative but.......am I understanding that I need to somehow pre-register with the Disney bus to take me to the airport?????

Newbie help needed - thanks.

One thing that really impresses us with your country is your praise of your forces fighting overseas. Whilst I realise not everyone will feel the same, we do get a feeling you value your troops.

In our country we are very bad at valuing our service personnel, but we have just reached a new low. One city, Peterborough, is close to an air force base, and the service personnel are being verbally abused when seen in uniform in the city because the abusers don't agree with our deploying troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.:sad2: So, they have been told not to wear uniform when out in the city!:confused3

Our country did the same thing during the Vietnam war and hopefully we have learned our lesson and we are not doing it now. Just the opposite, we now support and show thanks and respect for our soldiers. We appreciate what they are doing so that I can have freedom and rights.

Maybe in time your country will learn your lesson too and turn it around.

Good Morning Cruisers......we'll be there soon.....it gets closer everyday and we're almost at the two month countdown!!

I have received everything I ordered recently......bags and clothes. Everything looks great. I got some capri pants that I'll wear with some nice blouses to dinner......in between the sundresses.

I'm only waiting for some formal wear.....a dress for me and two vests for John. Then we have everything we ordered. I'm done, but I might have to order some new clothes for DH.....last years cruise clothes may be obsolete and he may just need to upgrade.

I don't think we're ever finished prepping until we get on the boat.

I requested the 8pm dining time, when I did, the CM told me that if we get that time ("there are no guarantees) the rotation is APL. She said the 8:15pm time is PLA and the 8:30pm time is LAP.

Wouldn't PLA be the better option for dinner? With that rotation The first formal night would be in Animators and the Semiformal and last formal would be in Lumiere's. Mexico and Pirate night would be in Parrots.

wow, you will talk to us with ASL as we will have two interpreters on this Cruise. That is right, we use BSL, and I have been trying to understand ASL. Last Med Cruise, we had so much fun with two interpreters and we are hoping to have them again.

Hi Deborah,

I learned ASL when I was in school, so I'd enjoy "finding" my skills again on the cruise with you. I remember finger-spelling the best, even though it takes soooooooooooo long.

It'd be fun to see how much I can remember.

Thats what I requested yesterday for those exact reason. :thumbsup2

what fun and torture is in that? We have to scrap together, after the cruise then the kiddos can play and we can talk and relive the whole thing over and over again....
As long as you can put up with me crying a lot while talking about it! I am such a big big baby!

I hope I'll be resting in paradise... I guess I'm just really worried that this project isn't going to come in on time - it went slow for a while then speeded up and now it's snagged again and it seems that it's nothing that I have any control over. But I chose to work this way and I guess I have to take what comes... I just hope it works out soon or else I may be sending the Royalty on without me and moving Steve up to Prince Consort or something... :upsidedow

Although I would not mind the "Royal Bump" I would rather have you join us! I am thinking that like all projects, it can be slow at start, but then it can jump into high gear very quickly and that you will be ok. The four corners need to be covered! Like the idea of a Royal Photo, may even have to get the silver polish out for it. Off to work I go now that I am caught up again.

I did request 8pm. I think everyone who is at the table should also call and request 8pm. We did late dining on the med cruise and the shows were a piece of cake. Plenty of seating always ended on time for dinner. The real problem was if there was something at 10pm up on deck. We rarely made it up there by 10 without skipping dessert.
That is why I say now, and will ask again at dinner...please order when YOU ARE ready. The dining staff wants to wait for all of the table to be seated, but sometimes people run late or don't come and the other tablemates don't know that is going on. I hope everyone is cool with that. I want to enjoy my dinner, not rush to get up on deck by 10...ya know

I had requested 8pm as well when I booked. I think they have to put our whole table at the same time right? So order early and eat fast is our table motto now! I do know what you mean though about wanting to get on deck for the parties and stuff. This cruise I want to do everything!!!!!!

Are you getting a Smart? The Car, right? We will be looking this weekend, and sre thinking of getting one too.

Yep, Ken and Shari are getting a smart. We picked ours up in January. Here are some pictures Adrienne took when we got it.

I have been working with smart USA for the past two years, as part of the launch team. It's been a facinating experience, but after the past two years, I need this vacation!

Do you have a reservation for a car yet? We've been taking reservations for almost a year now, and the wait can be pretty significant. If you don't have a reservation and want one now, your best hope is to see if your closest dealer has any fall-outs or orphans (they come from reservation holders who ordered, but didn't take delivery of the car).

I had been thinking about a Smart until all of our snow this winter. I somehow feel it might not be the best choice for a midwestern winter, especially seeing so many cars that were larger getting stuck in the snow.

morning all!
Wow - you were on the chatty side last night. I am so glad it is Friday! I can't wait for the weekend....I have GOALS to get rid of JUNK. I really just have to make myself do it. I am going to purge my clothes that don't fit. No sense in keeping them.

Anyone been moved from GTY to a cabin?

I went running last night....felt good when I was finished. I am going to run tonight and hopefully get a swim in. As long as the rain stays away.

We are requesting the 8:00 pm dining time as well, so maybe we'll see you in the dining room too, neighbor. We loved the late dining.

I am going to pick up the Canon SX100 iS as my secondary camera for this trip. I have the S3 iS but wanted a smaller have up on deck camera as well, and the Sx100 has 8 mp and 10x opt, so it will be good.

PJ

Yep, that is a nice camera as well. It was one that my wife was looking at but she decided to go with the Canon 720IS. She went with the 720 over the SX100 simply because she wanted a viewfinder for sunny days when the screen doesn't always work too well. But I really like the looks of the Sx100 and it has the nice features that Canon is well known for.

I loved my S2, so it will be tough to get over not having it. Right now my backup camera is an old Canon A70 3MP 3X zoom. :sad2:

what time is the early show? I'm thinking will I have time between the show and dinner to shower and clean up?

How have I forgotten this from my first cruise? I do remember not going to the show every night, just too much stuff to do...

The shows are at 6;30. If you have 8 pm dinner then you will have 30 min between.

How could you even consider travelling without the summer furs? What's one more steamer truck? Remember style is everything.

Besides, one has a duty to set an example for the lower orders.

It's what's on the outside that counts, not what's on the inside.

Aren't you helping Cheri?:lmao:

I don't know how much homework my two boys will have. I will find out more after their conferences on Tuesday. Anyway, I can be there to help Cheri. I am a special education teacher, specializing in learning disabilities. However, I've just been substitute teaching since the kids were born, so I've been teaching everything from Pre-K through 5th. I stay far away from those middle-schoolers. :scared1: :rotfl:

So, here's the deal Cheri. I will help during study hall with the other kids, but YOU HAVE TO SUPERVISE MINE (please). Seriously, things go much better when other people teach my kids, ya know what I mean? Thanks again for doing this. :worship: :worship:
