Just remember folks ... still taking names for "Shots Around the Ship"

So if you're interested in being on the list send me an email. You can go to www.mousemanager.com and click contact and send me an email that way. I don't want to post my email address here.

Oh, I'll be posting pictures of Mrs. Bennett this weekend.

Is she happy or homesick for her motherland???? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

General question, what kind of gifts have been in previous fish extenders? I am still sitting on the fence about being a part of the extender team and hanging an extender. Not sure the boys would get much out of the items or if it is worth the extra space for all the treasures back here at the house (My mom still comes over, looks around my house, and then says, well at least the ceiling has no clutter on it!) Any thoughts and advice at this late hour?

Join in. They (your boys) will like ours on the Panama Canal Day for sure. Lisa could answer this of course, but I bet some are nickknacks, others are paddywacks and an occasional bone.

Just join. If it's junk throw it out when you get home.

Bed for me too, way tired. So glad Paul gets home tommorrow night.

Have a good weekend. I may get a chance to chat at ya tomorrow unless I behave and get the house put back together for my DH....NOT!! okay, we are folding the clothes on the couch and taking out the trash and we did groceries tonight already, so he really is going to be happy when he comes home....no work....

Thanks - I was just pulling up my file manager to try and remember where on the website I had put the files. Saved me some time! :goodvibes

Thought I would share a story for those wondering about getting stamps in your passport. (I've never gotten one on a DCL cruise. :sad2: )

Last summer DW and I took a Med Cruise with Princess. We started in Greece, visited Turkey, Israel, Egypt, and ended in Rome. When we boarded the ship, they took and kept our passports. Before arriving in Turkey, they gave them back to us already prestamped for Turkey. When we got back on the ship after Turkey, they again collected our passports. The same was done for Egypt and Rome. But Israel was a bit different.

On the sea day before we arrived in Israel, we had to go to one of the lounges. There, a crew member handed us our passport that had the Israeli immigration paperwork tucked inside. When you go to Israel, they won't normally stamp your passport because a lot of countries won't let you in if you have an Israel stamp in it. (My father has to passports for this reason - he works both in Israel and Saudi Arabia, and has to have a permanent visa for both - so they made arrangements for him to have two different passports).

We then had to meet an Israeli immigration officer (who had boarded back in Athens). He inspected our passports, asked us few questions. He stamped the insert as we talked. Once he was done, we asked if we could have a stamp in the passport too. He looked at us silently for second, his eyes watered, he responded 'Absolutely' and reached for our passports and very deliberately stamped them. He handed them back, thanked *us* and got up and walked us out of the lounge (the only time we saw someone do that - and there were 5-6 immigration officers present in the room dealing with other passengers).

Very cool story

My goal is to home school the girls in 2011, buy an RV and travel across the country as our curriculum. We'll see if I can really pull it off but right now that is my plan. One thing Scott and I want to do is hit all those "treasure hunter" places that they show on TLC...you know the place in Montana you can dig for sapphires and Nevada you dig for? etc. I think that looks like so much fun.

I love those shows and yes the digs look like great fun! :thumbsup2

I worked in the nightclub industry for years and love techo, house, deep house all that. Good music but may annoy the h**l out of people who do not like it. :)

We are back and got total Techno immersion tonight! We liked the music (reminded us a bit of Disco with more beat, but along the same line) and the kids had a great time. There were 5 boys who did all the orgainzation for this whole gig and the school staff that was there was AMAZED at how well it went and how much fun the kids had. They also were AMAZED at the amount of money the boys raised for the band. Over $1700 after all their expenses, which were few because they got almost everything donated. The school staff were also amazed that they got so much donated stuff. :thumbsup2 Anyway they are stoked and cannot wait for Monday when they can share with their band teacher how much money he is getting for his program. They were hoping to make at least $600.

Earplugs..;)

Didn't really need them. The room we had was huge with very high ceiling. It is the lunch room at school. We were selling water (donated by the Tire Factory) and cookies (baked by the boys) in the back of the room and the DJ was at the very front so it was not too loud where we were.

That is unfortunate that DCL can't get moving on the cabins. You have to wonder what the thinking is for holding out so long.

I keep vacillating between ordering from Shirley and ordering from DCL. It's good to know we can wait on ordering until a few weeks out.

They are working on cruises before ours. :thumbsup2

I have read a few reviews and of coarse Disney's is better. But Aquatica has real Commersion's Dolphins! I am a huge dolphin freak. WHen I worked at WDW I had a season pass to Seawolrd and went once a week. I wanted to be a Marine Biologist when I grew up.

I have a season pass to Sea World for the kiddos and I. We really like it mind you this is in California though.

I hope you can make that work. Maybe we will see you on the road!! :thumbsup2

haaaaa haaaa haaa that's a good one....Molly and I just got back from our fist booth of the season. 4-7pm at Trader Joes. Went pretty good, gotta count the cash to see how many boxes she sold.

booth sales tonight 148 boxes...

Good haul!:thumbsup2 :cool1:

So it was a bad day of shopping today for me.

I went to Wal Mart to pick up some things for the geocaching lesson I'm to give on the cruise, and I came home with The Aristocats on DVD. Picked up nothing for the geocaching. Ended up forgetting all about even looking at that stuff as I got caught up in buying The Aristocats and then looking for Return to Neverland and discovering 101 Dalmations didn't come out yet (Mar 4). Bought the one movie and left. Got home and remembered why I originally went up there.

Hmmm

Bottle of wine for my wife - check
Couple of webkinz things for the girls - check
Aristocats move - check
Geocaching stuff for me - oooppppssss

Hey I do that all the time too!

As the lunch party was going into Club 33 today, one person literally decided to skip it at the last second. So they asked if I wanted to join them. "Of course I'll go!"

I had a lovely lunch with DW, some old friends and new acquaintances.

Sounds like a great day for all! :)

Edna Mode posted some photos this morning, and we even had the same long table in the Trophy Room: Club 33

We were in the same room when we were there, but at the round tables. :goodvibes

That's great they raised so much money for the band program! Also really cool that you all liked the techno music. I like it a lot but I know some people well not so much. :) Maybe there will be a repeat dance sometime and you guys can go again. Sounds like the kids did a great job of getting donations for their cause. :thumbsup2
