Goodmorning all, Well I'm sorry I missed all the discussion that I could have helped out on yesterday, so I'll answer as much as possible today. Yesterday we had gorgeous day - first one in ages. The sun seemed to shine a little bit brighter with an extra bulb on. I got a ton of errands done. Another beautiful day today, so we are on our way to DL and CA today.
Ian - all I can hear is ...... "OH Mr Bennett!" in that lovely shrill voice
I finished watching P&P last night... Mrs. Bennett, "Ohhhhhh, are we to be murdered in our beds?" ... It was a letter being delivered to the door.
I applied for mine today and plan to get the girls tomorrow or Thursday.
How long are they telling you? Last year, people were waiting for 6+ months for their passports and we heard that several were not permitted to board for the med cruise.
Mrs. Bennett is Ian's Chumby he ordered recently which should be arriving any day now.
Can't imagine they'd sell any if it actually had her voice.
I go down and snag the fruit and chocolate and head straight to the movies.
Ok a ? for you DL people - Can you tell me about the Carnation Cafe, the Redd Rocket, and the River bell Terrace restuarants?
Oh rats....getting River Bell Terrace and Plaza Inn mixed up. BOTH have good chicken. Plaza Inn has the character stuff.
The 'other' restaurant in New Orleans Square that used to be counter service is now a sit down AND has the Monte Cristo sandwich that you used to get only get at Blue Bayou. And the name is......

.
Another DL ? - the monte cristo sandwich - Blue Bayou or Cafe Orleans? Do they still have the restuarant that was divided to look like soap operas?
Cafe Orleans is very good and offers 2 Monte Christo sandwiches. It is an excellent place for people watching and you may get to see the pirate show as well. Good food and use your AP. Get outside seating. make a reservation.
Redd Rockets - also good, also AP- excellent for large amount of cool seating on a hot day. No reservation needed.
Sunday the 25th is a black out date. However, I think you could buy a one day pass for Sunday, go to guest services inside DL and have that money applied to an AP and still go on Sunday. Does that make sense?
Yes, you can do this.
That restaurant was actually at DCA on Hollywood Blvd. It is no longer there and has been replaced by the Disney Playhouse (or something like that)
Correct, it is the playhouse.
Next time someone goes to DL can they pick up the park maps for me? They can bring them to the ship(I'm in the lifeboat) or mail them to my house. Thanks!
I will pick them up today - PM me and I'll send them tomorrow. I'm sending another one out to Nanatink.
Also, if you go into California Adventure and want lunch..try Boudin down at the pier. Yummy bread bowl soups and salads..but especially the soups!
Excellent recommendation - that is where I'm eating today! If you sit around the corner on the water with your food, you can watch the electric parade from there.
I hate winter too must be a common thing!
I'm in on this too - can't take any cold. DRAB or gray. Moist, wet, sloshy - all words I've crossed out in my dictionary.
Do you watch carpoolers...it's a stupid but will do show...waiting for regular tv to start again
Most of the show are going to be running while we are on the cruise, so set you TIVO.
We got 8 inches of snow today... I officially called in for a snow day, but since I work at home...

Still in my jammies from last night... man I hate this job...
We're sending you some sunshine
Well we had an earthquake last night.

It woke John but I slept through. 5.something, our biggest ever, but up to a few years ago we never knew we even had earthquakes!Plenty of talking about it going on on the TV. Interesting. Lets see if they blame it on global warming!
I would have slept through the big Northridge Earthquake in '94, except it woke my ex-wife up and she grabbed a large patch of my chest hair, pulled, and screemed "EARTHQUAKE." I had no choice but to follow my hair as she was jumping about! Thankfully the boys did sleep through it and her rantings!
I only wake up for 6.2 or greater now! LOL
This made our news this morning - they are now calling it a 5.3. Our weather man said, "Quakes in England are a little more polite than they are here!"
We haven't had a quake in a long time.
