Eastbound troublemaker here (or that's what y'all call us? :lmao: )

Have they given you any info on dining times, is it all one (e.g. 6 pm and 8 pm) or staggared (5:45, 6, 6:15 and 7:45, 8, 8:15?)

Lisa - Sorry about Frank. Hope he's better this morning.

V - Loved the pixs!

Ken(I think) - you're girls are so cute!

Marilyn - I'm having Malt Balls for breakfast!

What are your plans today Marilyn? Anyone else have anything exciting going on?

I'm going to school to have lunch with Brent. Not sure about the rest of the day. Should clean house but it can wait.

Goodmorning all, Well I'm sorry I missed all the discussion that I could have helped out on yesterday, so I'll answer as much as possible today. Yesterday we had gorgeous day - first one in ages. The sun seemed to shine a little bit brighter with an extra bulb on. I got a ton of errands done. Another beautiful day today, so we are on our way to DL and CA today.

Ian - all I can hear is ...... "OH Mr Bennett!" in that lovely shrill voice :rotfl:

I finished watching P&P last night... Mrs. Bennett, "Ohhhhhh, are we to be murdered in our beds?" ... It was a letter being delivered to the door. :rotfl:

I applied for mine today and plan to get the girls tomorrow or Thursday.

How long are they telling you? Last year, people were waiting for 6+ months for their passports and we heard that several were not permitted to board for the med cruise.

Mrs. Bennett is Ian's Chumby he ordered recently which should be arriving any day now.

Can't imagine they'd sell any if it actually had her voice.

We were on the EB Med and then returned for the Med Cruise July 17. I kinda had a nightly ritual of going into the sports bar, picking up my tortilla chips, guacomole and sour cream and then taking it over to Rockin Bar D. Maybe you just missed it? Maybe too much drinkin??????? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I go down and snag the fruit and chocolate and head straight to the movies.

Ok a ? for you DL people - Can you tell me about the Carnation Cafe, the Redd Rocket, and the River bell Terrace restuarants?
Oh rats....getting River Bell Terrace and Plaza Inn mixed up. BOTH have good chicken. Plaza Inn has the character stuff.
The 'other' restaurant in New Orleans Square that used to be counter service is now a sit down AND has the Monte Cristo sandwich that you used to get only get at Blue Bayou. And the name is...... :confused3 .
Another DL ? - the monte cristo sandwich - Blue Bayou or Cafe Orleans? Do they still have the restuarant that was divided to look like soap operas?

Cafe Orleans is very good and offers 2 Monte Christo sandwiches. It is an excellent place for people watching and you may get to see the pirate show as well. Good food and use your AP. Get outside seating. make a reservation.

Redd Rockets - also good, also AP- excellent for large amount of cool seating on a hot day. No reservation needed.

Sunday the 25th is a black out date. However, I think you could buy a one day pass for Sunday, go to guest services inside DL and have that money applied to an AP and still go on Sunday. Does that make sense?

Yes, you can do this.

That restaurant was actually at DCA on Hollywood Blvd. It is no longer there and has been replaced by the Disney Playhouse (or something like that)

Correct, it is the playhouse.

Next time someone goes to DL can they pick up the park maps for me? They can bring them to the ship(I'm in the lifeboat) or mail them to my house. Thanks!

I will pick them up today - PM me and I'll send them tomorrow. I'm sending another one out to Nanatink.

Also, if you go into California Adventure and want lunch..try Boudin down at the pier. Yummy bread bowl soups and salads..but especially the soups!

Excellent recommendation - that is where I'm eating today! If you sit around the corner on the water with your food, you can watch the electric parade from there.

I hate winter too must be a common thing! :rotfl2:

I'm in on this too - can't take any cold. DRAB or gray. Moist, wet, sloshy - all words I've crossed out in my dictionary.

Do you watch carpoolers...it's a stupid but will do show...waiting for regular tv to start again

Most of the show are going to be running while we are on the cruise, so set you TIVO.

We got 8 inches of snow today... I officially called in for a snow day, but since I work at home... :lmao: Still in my jammies from last night... man I hate this job... :rotfl:

We're sending you some sunshine

Well we had an earthquake last night. It woke John but I slept through. 5.something, our biggest ever, but up to a few years ago we never knew we even had earthquakes!Plenty of talking about it going on on the TV. Interesting. Lets see if they blame it on global warming!;)
I would have slept through the big Northridge Earthquake in '94, except it woke my ex-wife up and she grabbed a large patch of my chest hair, pulled, and screemed "EARTHQUAKE." I had no choice but to follow my hair as she was jumping about! Thankfully the boys did sleep through it and her rantings!:goodvibes
I only wake up for 6.2 or greater now! LOL:laughing:

This made our news this morning - they are now calling it a 5.3. Our weather man said, "Quakes in England are a little more polite than they are here!":lovestruc

We haven't had a quake in a long time.

I slept through the big Silmar quake way back in the 70's. DrHug was kind enough turn over and go back to sleep and not grab my chest hair! :lmao:

OK, our weather. Keep in mind that our temps are not the same as you would feel in other parts of the country. 80 degrees here is not the same as 80 degrees in WDW. The last two weeks of May and the first 2 weeks of June we get what is called "June Gloom" - it is a foggy overcast that comes off the ocean in the night and morning. The beach areas burn off between 11am and 1pm, DL will burn off between 9 & 10am. It keeps us cool before the heat of the day. But sometimes it is cold. At night it can get quite chilly because it is a damp moist air. We get down to about 60 at night at that time of year. It will be beautiful during the day. it should be about mid - high 70's. The heat in WDW usually has a humidity to it that we do not experience here. It is a dry heat here, which tricks people into not realizing they are burning because they are not sweating. People also tend to get very dehydrated here. So, please plan to have water bottles with you so that it doesn't sneak up on you. shorts and sandals during the day, sweater at night.

forgot ask the question for Calfornia people: What the weather like in May as I have been told that the weather will be cold when we arrive LA? What is the temperature for May? As I need to know for packing as we are staying there for 3 nights. Thanks Scottishwee35

I wouldn't pack anything more for L.A. Your casual cruise clothes should be fine.Woody

I agree.

John - you use a snow thrower? We must be a hardy bunch here in Chicago! I was out at 5:00 AM today with my shovel and a bucket salt.

Then after I finished shovelling the snow, I milked the cows, slopped the hogs (or is that slapped the hogs), helped the neighbors with a barn raising, and then walked 10 miles to school, where I had to chop 75 cords of wood to stoke the stoves to get up a good head of steam to power the wood burning laptops!

Well ... maybe I just shoveled the snow, and I did use only a shovel and then salted the side walk.

Admittedly, I only do the front sidewalk, and that's only about 25 feet. But, was out there at 5:00 AM and it was all handcrafted Chicago shoveling!

Thank you for starting off my work day with a laugh (not a chuckle, a laugh).

Thanks also to Ian and John1 for the info on transfering cassettes to cd.

I am sure v will be out here more than me....now that she has an extra computer...maybe I can research my fantasy team come football season without being pushed out by the disney boards.....and she hasn't signed me up for anything crazy has she/ although I would expect it.

WELCOME GATORJOHN!
