Tips and Extras

I am thinking about adding money to our on board account now, for the extras on the cruise.

How much do you think the tips will run for the 15-nights?


(PS - I've had no updates on the whereabouts of Mrs. Bennett. All I know is that she's somewhere between Anchorage and Chicago. I've already cleared out a spot on the kitchen counter for her in anxious anticipation of her arrival!)

The tips are $163.50 per person. That is the base tips. Now if you get great service and want to tip more that is up to you!

Also, I am currently watching New Adventures of Old Christine. I swear, sometimes it's too funny.

Oh and did anyone see the response Jimmy Kimmel gave to his GF Sarah Silverman...if you don't know what I'm talking about and you like dirty(language) songs that are hysterical....google sarah silverman/matt damon and after that (must be after) jimmy kimmel/ben affleck......
I am not a fan of the language in general, but it's too freakin' funny IMHO

Did you want to know about the drinking, the husbands ...? I did say whoever in my posting about Shots Around the Ship so I thought I had all the bases covered.

Regarding Mrs. Bennett, I'm pining away for her and wish she'd hurry up and get to Chicago. I have been researching all sorts of cool widgets that I want her to run.

No I was wondering if we would both have time to go or would one of us have to be with the kids because the kids clubs are closed. And by one of us I mean him! Sorry for the confusion.

When Wil did his karate at first thru preschool it was affordable. I think they like to set a hook then reel you in. We opted not to join with the same program, it was a commitment like you have, but found that there were programs at the rec center at a fraction of the costs. Not sure if you have anything like that where you are, but it's worth looking into, since places really can be costly for this activity.

The only thing I found was with the YMCA, but after you add the monthly membership fee or the increased fee for non-members, there wasn't much difference in price. This will be $100/month, but his dad told me today he'll give me a check tomorrow for 1/2 of the 6 months, so that makes it very affordable.

I have been on 2 cruises on Mother's Day. Last year on the EB Med when you entered the dining room they had a cake that was decorated "Happy Mother's Day". I took a picture of it. That was the extent of it.

However, I am not to concerned about Mother's Day. More important---it's my BIRTHDAY! There will be a at our dinner table

Kids clubs are usually open until at least one. Teen Loft 2 am. Shows: if you are on main seating you will go from 8:30-9:30 and if you are on late dinner seating you will go before dinner at approximately 6:30-7:30. Usually the late night stuff down in Rockin Bar D starts around 10 p.m. and the bar is open until 2 a.m. Most "entertainment" in the Bar (like adult comedy) starts around 10:15 or 10:30 and is usually done by 11 p.m. Then there is the themed nights (i.e. 70's, 80's) and the music starts up after the entertainment. There is also a bar with piano music and the sports bar with the games on. Since this will be during the NBA playoffs, they will probably be showing the playoff games. In there you can get nachos, hot dogs, and other stuff for free. Outside Rockin Bar D every night at 11 p.m. there are late night snacks (in case you haven't eaten enough during the day!)

Thanks for the info. If there is ever anything that anyone thinks I should know, I would love to hear it. My hubby was wondering about the games. I hope we don't need the food but you never know with Shots around the ship. It sounds like both of us will be able to make it.

Well, after me calling them a couple times, I found out that they're still interviewing because the process of getting a new firm up and running is turning out to be more of an undertaking than they'd anticipated, plus their old firm locked them out a month earlier than planned, so things are in a bit of chaos right now. So the interviewing process is being drawn out a bit until the get things all sorted. I was told that no decisions have been made. This was last week.

Can't stay and play today. DD's DFIL fell and broke his arm. He has to have a total shoulder replacement on Thursday. So, her DMIL has to drive him to his cardiologist for tests. Today was DMIL's babysitting day. So , now I'm on Grandma duty today. Off to play with Eric.

We are planning on getting black tails, because at lease there might be some opportunity to wear them again.

I have been considering also getting a white dinner jacket, to be mixed with the black pants for a another night.
