Happy Saturday cruisers!

A gorgeous day here. Not sure we'll stray too far from home. Got some cleaning to do....when don't I? The girls are chowing down on waffles and John is at work, he is working tomorrow too since he is taking next Sat and Sun off. Kind of a bummer.

We'll probably swim after lunch and hopefully I can wear the girls out so they will hit the hay early!

Here is the Vivienne Tam dress I bought that my son told me I looked like a cow when I tried it on. I said "what!!!! a cow??" My son (who is 4) said the "colors are same as cows" So here I thought I looked more like one of the 101 Dalmations myself.

NOT cow, definitely dalmation! Turn it into a Cruella Deville look! But seriously, I love all the dresses.

Off for a while to go watch rented movies. Last night I rented "Georgia Rules" and "The Invasion". I have to watch lots of movies to get a scene out of my head from a movie I watched last Friday night. I think it was called "The Hitcher". If anybody's seen it, you'll know the scene towards the end involving the girl's boyfriend and the semi. Horror movies usually don't bother me, but I think that's the most disturbing image I've ever seen in a movie.

ME. (the one with the sister named PJ...Peggy Jo) My plane lands at 5:15PM. So you'll have plenty of time to get checked in before arranging for the banner and dancing boys to greet me....

Caught up and thinking about grabbing a hot cup of tea and finishing my book before bedtiime. Well, maybe just a bit more DISing......

Sorry about the memory thing, Jackie. We could possibly arrange the banner but I am not so sure about dancing boys. Will have to look into that!

The smallest tables DCL has are for a party of 4. How creepy would that be!

Actually I think most of us are here to make friends so sitting with strangers is not so creepy to us. I do think if you get sat with people you do not like you can ask to be moved. Who knows you may meet some great friends and be thankful you got sat with them for dinner. This week I met two ladies that I had only met through this thread. Total strangers otherwise and I tell you they were two of the sweetest nicest people I have met in ages! I am sitting with them at dinner and know I am going to have a blast! I can already see us being great friends.

Maybe you guys can attend a Dis meet beforehand and meet some people possibly making a connection and find another couple or two you would like to eat with? If you are creeped out eating with just one other couple maybe you should really ask to be sat at a LARGE group table. That way there will be no one on one pressure to talk as much. I think if you give it a shot you will find it is not creepy like you think.

I was kinda shy on the boards but this cruise I figured screw it! I jumped right in and haven't looked back.

Our first cruise we sat with people we didn't know and still communicate with them at Christmas, etc. This was before I found the Disboards.

This Morning, I was laughing when I opened the birthday card from my brother, it said Sister, I've planned a fun-filled cruise in the Mediterranean for your birthday, when I opened it and it said Can you water my plants while I'm away? with a cat dressed up tropical!!

Look like my family know I love Disney Cruise,

Anyway, today is my birthday, and I am going out with my 7 friends for lunch then go to bar for champagne.

I will be out all day until tonight.

Sorry, Room 7014. It must have been assigned in the last few hours. I'm on the west coast and have been up since 4 am. Family is still asleep, and will not be up for at least another two hours, I had no one to tell. So I wanted to share with all of you!

oh of course, it's just so strange for someone who doesn't live like this to understand.

Today we met with her therapist. It was good, but also very sad. We had our behaviour of sparing the kids from her reinforced. That was a big saving issue for me. I have been feeling guilt over keeping the kids from her (they can't be with her alone or overnight) I just don't feel safe with that. The sad info was that she concluded that MIL isn't ready to change and that there is a real risk that she could be sucessful at suicide. That is down right scary. But there is nothing that we can do other than rescue her in the moment.

Nan - never feel guilty about keeping your kids safe, or putting them first. That shows you're a great mom. Continued hugs, prayers and PD headed your way. Know that we're there with you in spirit

The Take what you can/Give nothing back, call and response started with the DDD Geeks on the 12/09/06 cruise. Todd (Disney Vegas or Dirty Vegas as I call him), was the starter of that and he took it with him onto the WB TA and your EB Pan Can, cruises

Angie and Dennis are original members of the DDD Geeks and it is now part of them, they can't give it up, lol.
