It may always be you. DGS18 discusses all that stuff with me. Of course he also talks to Grandpa, but has no shyness about talking with me also. He's a weird kid though.

That's cool he knows how much you care about him so much so that he can talk openly with you about things! You must have done something right in his life!

This Morning, I was laughing when I opened the birthday card from my brother, it said Sister, I've planned a fun-filled cruise in the Mediterranean for your birthday, when I opened it and it said Can you water my plants while I'm away? with a cat dressed up tropical!!

Look like my family know I love Disney Cruise,

Anyway, today is my birthday, and I am going out with my 7 friends for lunch then go to bar for champagne.

I will be out all day until tonight.

oh of course, it's just so strange for someone who doesn't live like this to understand.

Today we met with her therapist. It was good, but also very sad. We had our behaviour of sparing the kids from her reinforced. That was a big saving issue for me. I have been feeling guilt over keeping the kids from her (they can't be with her alone or overnight) I just don't feel safe with that. The sad info was that she concluded that MIL isn't ready to change and that there is a real risk that she could be sucessful at suicide. That is down right scary. But there is nothing that we can do other than rescue her in the moment.

Oh wow I am so sorry to hear this. A big hug to you and all your family going through this. I know you seem to be a very strong person but I understand this is hard on you all. It is so very sad for the grandkids to lose time with their grandma while she is going through all this but I understand 100%. I hope she can change for her sake and all the family members affected.

NOPE don't need one. Now do I want one......maybe but I have two computers upstairs, one with two moniters, the other with one but also I have wireless and a laptop so I can use the home network where ever I roam. So nope don't need one but it is cool looking.

I know what you're saying. We have 2 desktop computers and 1 laptop. Everything in the house is wireless and there are repeaters throughout the house.

But I do find for certain things I have to either go get the laptop (which I usually have while munching breakfast) or go to a computer for certain things.

For me, the kitchen would be great, this would replace the creaking radio in the kitchen, but it might be great to have it cycling through photos while not streaming music from either the radio or iTunes. Plus the advantage of all the other little widgets. The pricing is not bad when I consider the cost of a digital picture frame either.

Do I need one? Do I want want one? Could I use one? Not sure how often all these converge.

But it is so just so gosh darn cute and cuddly!

I'm thinking of naming mine Larry.

Actually I think most of us are here to make friends so sitting with strangers is not so creepy to us. I do think if you get sat with people you do not like you can ask to be moved. Who knows you may meet some great friends and be thankful you got sat with them for dinner. This week I met two ladies that I had only met through this thread. Total strangers otherwise and I tell you they were two of the sweetest nicest people I have met in ages! I am sitting with them at dinner and know I am going to have a blast! I can already see us being great friends.

Maybe you guys can attend a Dis meet beforehand and meet some people possibly making a connection and find another couple or two you would like to eat with? If you are creeped out eating with just one other couple maybe you should really ask to be sat at a LARGE group table. That way there will be no one on one pressure to talk as much. I think if you give it a shot you will find it is not creepy like you think.

I was kinda shy on the boards but this cruise I figured screw it! I jumped right in and haven't looked back.

For us it's a matter of being comfortable with people. We've met a lot of people that we didn't know before. We know Monica because we met her on our first cruise when I interviewed her for a podcast, and we've been fast friends ever since.

I also produce Mouse Manager, which has had over 2000 downloads, and I correspond with people many times a day, and have made many friends, some of whom are on this thread, and I have joined in with other people on this thread (fish extender team, etc.)

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but for some reason, sitting down and breaking bread with people has a certain intimacy.

We are also not a typical couple, and so there is concern as well that our table-mates are comfortable with us. Otherwise, mealtime could have the potential of being rather strained. Sort of like a bad weekend in an English country house.

Just ask Monica, she can vouch for how bizarre we are!

Hi Lisa, I'm good thanks. I'm sleeping a lot and waiting for my boot to come....trying to keep the edema down as much as possible.

We're snowed in again.....what else is new in the winter in our area.

I've been reading a lot and trying to keep up with all the posts on here. Everytime I log on I'm 20+ pages behind.

I'm glad to see everyone in your family is good and all things are back to normal hecticness in your house again.

Here is a dress I bought in a store called Bellessa in Walnut Creek. They have a lot of nice cruise worthy things in there. Sorry the pictures are dark. There was no sunlight of course (2am kinda thing) but my lamps are not back in my room after painting either. I had more important things to do like Dis.

Here is a couple dresses I bought off Bloomies online.
This first one the dress is heavy! I guess the double layers of fabric and all the details on the top maybe. It is just a heavy dress.

Here is the bodice up close.

The second Bloomies dress is a full length taffeta gown. Here is the website picture as it was hard to get a picture of the full length.

Here is a up close bodice picture that shows the true color of the dress and the "Jeweled detail" as the website called it. I thought it was a pin I could remove but it is sewn on pretty well in several places so I guess it stays.
