Ok, now I have more things to add to my list - thanks!!!:scratchin :rotfl: Now I want flowers in my stateroom.::yes::

Passports are in the safe in the loft so it is a bother!!!!

Our son Andrew has grown a beard and I don't like it!:crazy2: (Neither does his wife!)

I thought the flowers would be nice in my little cave.

IF you gave DCL your passport # for your cruise last December, you don't have to re-enter it...it will pop up automatically.

OK all it is 5:40 here and Marr is awake. I do not ever wake this early. Sometimes I am still awake from the night before but never do I wake so dang early. So why am I awake you might ask? Well my daughter had a friend stay the night here last night. We had been over at the other family's house and came home around midnight. The girls were running around while I put my son in bed. I fell asleep with my son and woke up a little after 5 am freezing! I get up and my daughter is awake. I tell her to go to bed to which they reply they just woke up. Hmmm why is it so cold? The girls were playing and thought it was hot when I was laying down in my sons room so my daughter switched the heater off and the ac on! I am sitting here typing with my robe on and a blanket over me and some thick socks on. It was 60 degrees in the house!

Now before you all laugh since a lot of you post about 12 degrees being toasty and warm. :rotfl2: I keep my house at 72 most of the time and about 60 in the summer. Yes everyone tells me my house is like a little old lady's house. Hot in the winter and freezing in the summer. Oh well must have been all the years I spent tons of my time with my grandparents! I am sitting here and waiting for my bedroom to warm up.

We're off to the rainy track :crazy2:

Oh well, it could be worse, it could be an Earthquake!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Marr, we are going to Sac RPM, THANK YOU :cheer2: they are fitting the kids in at 1pm, since they have experience they will waive the class.

Call me when you wake up I'm not going to wake you with this wonderful news.

:drive: All the smiles are reconfigured on my screen, I guess this is my bday present huh????

LOVE YA MEAN IT....I'll explain that one later, but some of you may know about that already????

HA I am awake! Got woke up by the cold front that came across my house! :scared: Glad that you guys got RPM to let you in! Guess it can make up for the rainy day birthday. It is not raining here at the moment. Still very wet out but no rain as it stopped a little while ago. It has been off and on all night and this am.

edited to add: oops I lied the rain came back again. :rotfl2:

On line check in is done! One step closer to being on the ship!:cool1: :cool1: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :dancer: party:

Marilyn, you can do it without getting to your passport right now. When I went in to do I found it all filled out from before. Real easy.:thumbsup2

I was listening to "Wait, wait dont' tell me" on NPR this morning and loved this bit about Mac users. I was sitting in my car in the driveway laughing. I think my neighbors thought I was nutty. Well, they probably already did. :rotfl:

http://www.npr.org/templates/player/mediaPlayer.html?action=1&t=1&islist=false&id=19297423

Well, PJ and John (and all the rest of you Mac users) already knew they were better than the rest of us. :thumbsup2

Funny, funny, funny, but true . . . guess I am the worst type of Mac user too . . .

OK, you might as well know I'm a complete NPR geek. So here's another segment that I found funny. It's from This American Life, and it is John Hodgman (the PC guy from the Mac/PC commercials) telling about his odd encounters now that he is famous from commercials. You have to go to about 12:00 minutes to get to the Hodgman segment.

Okay, I will stop bothering you with my weird NPR humor now. ;)

I LOVE NPR, have already heard this. I download several NPR podcasts weekly, including This American Life, and Car Talk. Mac user, and NPR nerd too!

Ian - do you know if you just pick the wines you want, or do they chose for you? I would assume we get to pick, but you never know. Also, do you think if you just want 1 type of wine that you can just get all your bottles the same??

Yes, you can pick one wine and have all the bottles the same kind. We have had a package and chose only the Merlot over and over. Another time we split it--Merlot and Asti each night.

OK this requires some explanation to us latecomers! ;)

The female DIS'ers on here can go on long strings of posts discussing shoes, and shoe envy. Pages and pages at times. My eyes start to glaze when those posts start . . . I was saying if they really want to get rid of me, just start that again.

Morning!

Marilyn - you can do your online checkin now...! ;)
John1 - love the goatee....John2 is sportng one now as well.

overcast here, looks like we are in for more rain

Sunny here, and Amy does not care for it V. At work, they think I should keep it, at home, Amy does not like it. Guess who wins?

John1 - I love that you are reading those books to Sophie....my grandad used to do that when I was very young and I loved it.....although, I was begging him to read morning, noon and night.

Samantha is up eating waffles and Haley is still fast asleep.

Sophia loves to be read to. Good for me too, as I get to reread some of my favorite books. Sophia is up watching her gerbils. When Alex was young, we did not have any pets in the house. Now we have a dog, gerbils, fish, and hermit crabs. Sophia is so different in many ways from her brother.

:rotfl2: I know where that is from. Those were some good trip reports. She still updates her website do you have the link?

My brother just tried to cut my niece off from her college tuition because she went away with her boyfriend to see his family after Xmas... I told her if he does that...first he'll never be welcome here and I'LL pay her tuition!!!

Are we doing that for PC day??? Are we set for that date?

YES, 4pm on PC crossing day.....we're just not sure where yet.

Tell whoever it is that you see that you need something and if they don't agree... ask to see one of the other doctors - also try asking your ob/gyn...they seem to be more understanding...

Wow... I didn't know Bobby was a Dr... Dr. Bobby

But you wouldn't be as proud as you are, now would you??? :cloud9:

Hi on my blackberry. We have been at this dance competition since 6am. I am pretty tired but also very nervous. I decided to tell you guys and then maybe the nervousness will go away. Mostly, the dances are groups, but in a half an hour Gretchen goes on stage with just one one other dancer. The most important thing is for her not to know I am nervous so then she won't get nervous. There are about 1000 watching and 3 judges. I am sure she will do just fine. I have no idea how these kids can get up on stage in front of all those people.

Lisa - this hotel is about 6 miles outside of town. It is relatively easy to get a taxi. You don't have to even walk all that far - where we dock form the tender - you just take a left where the stores are on the side and there is a "taxi stand" there are usually a couple of taxi vans there so you'll know where to go. To the right is the sidewalk to town.
Laura - I am interested in seeing the Los Arcos rock formation (from land is okay). Is there an economical way to do this? How far is it from the port? Thanks.

You might recall we missed Cabo San Lucas on the 2005 Eastern PC due to hurricane Hillary.

OK - this may be far from you but have you ever heard of Marino's? It's a quaint Italian Restaurant right off the 91 and Bellflower Blvd? Ever see the advertising for the Jeep dealer on the left if your coming from DL? Well its on the right - one block in. Its on a corner - I've been going there since I was 14/15. Um, some ok - some time ago. Anyway, its small and quaint and has the best salad and minestrone soup. DH loves the pizza - I like the sausage and peppers. All my kids have like it - OMG! Just realized I've been going there since before they were born - :scared1:. Anyway, they usually have a fair size crowd on the weekends. They are across the street from some Bellflower Music Store. If your ever bored and want to explore - I would recommend it. The bread is always good but we prefer our with just the butter on it. Hope I enticed you to try it! :)[/QUOTE]

Yes, it is far away, but if it's good and it's Italian, I'll find it. thanks.

On a serious note, parents should monitor their kid's internet activities and encourage safe practices.
There are predators out there, and, sadly, myspace has only recently started to block sex offenders from its site. CNN ArticleOnMySpace

AGREED

I always think David Sedaris when I see your avatar and have no idea why :confused3

Funny guy on David Letterman often.

I attended Huntington Beach Elementary School. I was a Junior Oiler. :rotfl: Greatest Grade School I ever attended. At that time, it was the ONLY grade school in Huntington Beach. Can you imagine. I am really dating myself.

OOOOOOO Dr. Hug, you are old! :upsidedow :upsidedow :upsidedow

Ok so they update on my moms friends is very sad. SHe passed away Sat night. But everyone is ok they woke her up one last time and said their goodbyes. Before she died she left written instructions that she didn't want a funeral were everyone was sad. She wants to be cremated and her DD and DSIL to go on a cruise and pour her into the sea. So they are going to have a service at the church and honor her wishes. At least she will be where she wanted to be. And she is not in anymore pain.:sad1:
