So good news tonight....
My friend I had mentioned earlier, got her CT results today. It's a 7mm spot that is too hard to tell if it's cancer. So her doc says they'll repeat the scan in 6 weeks and see if it's grown. 1 organ down 1 to go. She has her kidney ultrasound on tuesday. We aret taking this as good news. There's really nothing they can do as the lung is such a sensitive organ. Can't really biopsy it, the risk of other damage is not worth it. Thanks for the prayers it seems they were working! Lets keep up those good thoughts for her kidney and hopefully it'll show nothing too.

I have to mention that I had an MRI once, on my knee. It was one of those where you feel like a canonball ready to be fired. Anyway, I fell asleep. Never really had this problem myself, but really feel for those of you that do.

We started our Disney Cruising in a Cat 6, and have had a 5 and a 4 before too. Now we do 8's because I don't think Amy would like to be without a window. It is nice to have the Verandah, but nicer still to be able to be on the ship more often.

We do spend a lot of time in our room when Tyler needs breaks from all the commotion and/or naps. But maybe this time he won't take naps. I don't know....he still needs naps now, so I can't imagine that will change in 3 months, but we'll just make the best of it. No sense worrying about it. I'll just do my best to take advantage of that time and get a nap myself!

But most importantly, I'M JUST HAPPY TO BE ON THE SHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just tried again to access our original thread, still getting that lack of permission error. Seems it may be gone forever.

Today is the first day I have not heard from Amy. I am hoping that is a good thing and she is into the routine. She was not a happy camper yesterday though, because the one female from her office was leaving.

The guy who flew over with her spends all his spare time bar-hopping, and Amy is afraid she will be eating dinner on her own now that the other lady is leaving.

Amy did tell me yesterday that Valentines Day in the Philippines is like a National Holiday. All the roads are jammed, and everyone is wishing all the women a Happy Valentine's day.

She also told me that the male to female ratio is 1 to 6.

The good thing is that it's so nice and quiet and dark when the lights are off, it will be easier for tyler to fall asleep. For you, I'd just bring a good book and bring a snack or drink back with you. If your into a good book, you can imagine being outside of your inside room. So nothing to dark and scary! Sometimes, I'd sit there with the navigator and really read it and see whats going on so I had a plan when taylor woke up. And on good days, I'd get internet in the room, or just play solitare on the computer.

I never actually thought about it but we did sit in the same seats for our 4 night cruise. It might be nice to change seats sometimes.

You know - I've always wondered this too and never saw your viewpoint before - at our table of 14 we always ended up being near about the same spots. Seems that more of us at the table were creatures of habit and the only one that seemed to "wander" was not a very well liked creature.

But your right - I usually don't wander and stay in the spot that is either picked for me or if I get there first - which I try to do the first night - I pick the spot and don't wander. My only peeve? I hate to have my back to "a door" or entry so I try and face it or a window - except for Parrot Cay - there I have to sit with my back to the window - I think its all those colors! Is that totally un-DCL like?

We didn't - I never thought about it, but I think we just sat wherever each night. Sometimes we were the last ones there, sometimes we were the first. No rhyme nor reason to where we sat.

We've always moved around - no plan just worked out that way.

That sucks for her to be "alone" with a jerky coworker who needs to bar hop! I went to south carolina by myself, and even though I was single, I was 5 months pregnant so not really a "catch" at that time! I found a restaurant by the hotel that had a wonderfully friendly wait staff and counter service. I'd just sit up at that counter and eat my hush puppies and sweet tea and talk to the people behind for hours.

We dropped the motorhome at the dealer this morning. They said we had a year to check it out, bring it in and get any thing that is not quite right fixed. We had just a small list, took it in, they said they would like to keep it 3 WEEKS! Whoa! Luckily we have no trips planned. The service dept said they have sold so many that their backlog went way up in the serv. dept. That is a good thing for them. Surprising to me that RVs are selling that good.

You did keep the candy stash at home though, right???

I'll make it work! I can always pop down the hall for a couple seconds here and there and peek my head out on the aft deck 7. We're only 2 doors down from it, and I'd be sure to let him know from day 1 that if he ever wakes up from a nap and doesn't see me, that's where I am. He's a smart kid and would be OK with that as long as I show him where it is. But I wouldn't do that for longer than a minute or two anyway. I think that would be OK since we're right there so close.

Once, when she was in 1st grade, we stayed right by the mid stairs on an rccl and right up above was the snack stand. She told me to wait at the bottom of the stairs so she could be a "big" girl and go and get her own hot dog. They were just like the dcl stairs 2 flights, so she climbed up one, looked down and saw me and then got to the next flight and hollered down..mom can you hear me..to which i said yes, and then she repeated that she was getting a hot dog..be right back. Hollered when she got the hot dog, when she was done putting ketchup on it and then skipped back down..so proud of herself for doing it "alone"
it was to damn cute!

Sophia is begging for the next chapter of the "Chamber of Secrets" so it will be reading and off to bed for us.

We ate a late lunch/early dinner, went to get new dance shoes, had to run in to the office to handle a problem, and then went to a HS basketball game.

Party tomorrow is at 1:45. Poor kid invited 25 kids, and only about 10 have RSVP'd. Only one called to say she can't come. One (the Miss Popular of the class) called to say she was coming, and then at dance this week told Sophia she decided to go to another party - Sophia had gone to hers.

Oh, how I hate this kind of stuff!

Well those 10 that do show up are going to have a great time in that place by themselves. And since I had to plan for 25, I ordered a big cake so they can stuff themselves on cake too.

It will be interesting though to see if any show up without RSVP'ing.

I can't remember if that's been figured out, but somebody will have a better answer I'm sure. I just had to respond to tell you I love your new signature! Is the drinking smiley indulging in a BEER?!
