YES! Difficulty with elevators, unless they're glass elevators. It's gotten worse the past 2 years for some reason. I almost lost control on the Atlantis submarine last year, even though it has windows.....that one was more KNOWING we're way down under the water and therefore still confined. Was doing lots of deep breating, with my eyes closed so I could try to pretend I was elsewhere. The people around me kept asking if I was OK. :scared1: I just said I had a really bad headache to avoid freaking out Tyler.

Holly, DH has severe claustrophobia. Long story, but I will tell you that he slept on the deck during the Alaska cruise. You should really look into something to help if you think this is going to be a problem. (this is one of the reasons we are still looking for an upgrade)

I had a job I had to weigh in every week for. If I got above a certain weight, I was fired. After I quit, everything went to heck in a handbasket. That was a trip.

Supermodel???? :goodvibes

Hey Holly...

You're on deck 7????

So am I.... sort of... if they ever let me out of the darned life boat...

I am still in the life boat too! Could you please pass me a spare vest so I can use it as a pillow??:rotfl:

We've been getting summer bathing suits and clothes, patio, barbcue since 1/1/08. It's been a cold winter for us, so it seems ridiculous.
My daughter swims a lot at the club we belong to and also swims on a swim team so I buy her a lot of suits. She and I like the ones from the Limited too as far as cuteness goes. They got their new suits in a month or so ago! Thing is I buy them now since I know if I wait until it is really warm they will be sold out of a lot of sizes and styles. Besides when it is Summer it will be time to buy the winter coats! :rotfl2:

Does anybodies kids do Refections though the school PTA. It is a contest with a theme. You can write a story, take a picture, compose a song, or draw...(plus other things) and Gretchen wrote and sang a song and recorded it.

She won 1st place at the school level and Fairfax County and then she got 1st place in the district. Now she is competing for States.....pretty cool!! There was a ceremony today and she was embarrassed. She usually loves to be in the spotlight.

Good for her! I am PTA president so I know all about this. Tell her that is wonderful!!! She should be proud!

That would be so kind of you to do this for me.

No, we will not be going to DTD this time. First time going that far and not going to Disney. I would love to get them on the ship though. We'll have over two weeks to bump into each other and I know where your favorite spot is on CC. We were neighbors at cc on our Dec. cruise. You and your family were having the best of times.

:) We did have a good time! :cloud9: We will not be in my favorite hammock this trip though. I think we want to spend most of the day at Serenity Bay since we did not make it over there in Dec. I'll have your stateroom number though from PJ's list and can drop them by.

If I remember right, there is a shuttle bus that runs for CM's only at the port that takes them to Walmart in Long Beach

So I guess walmart cards would be best if this is the only place DCL busses them. So if I make a little list of things cast members would like to get it would be:

Walmart gift cards
books
dvds
candy
food

What else can I add that people have given that was well liked?

There is Long Beach City Place which is right downtown (5-10 minutes from the port next to the Aquarium) which is a mall with a bunch of stores and food places.

I will be on the Wonder on the 28th Feb and I will ask two of my friends who are CM's what they did when they were in port back in 2005 each week. And then I'll ask them if guests wanted to give them gift cards and such, what would they like and use.

That would be great to know exactly what they do want. I am sure they are happy to get anything special but I would like to give a few things they really do want and need. :thumbsup2

Sophia is begging for the next chapter of the "Chamber of Secrets" so it will be reading and off to bed for us.

We ate a late lunch/early dinner, went to get new dance shoes, had to run in to the office to handle a problem, and then went to a HS basketball game.

Party tomorrow is at 1:45. Poor kid invited 25 kids, and only about 10 have RSVP'd. Only one called to say she can't come. One (the Miss Popular of the class) called to say she was coming, and then at dance this week told Sophia she decided to go to another party - Sophia had gone to hers.

Oh, how I hate this kind of stuff!

Well those 10 that do show up are going to have a great time in that place by themselves. And since I had to plan for 25, I ordered a big cake so they can stuff themselves on cake too.

It will be interesting though to see if any show up without RSVP'ing.

Catch you guys later tomorrow.

Try not to start another thread by then!:rotfl:

John, I hope she has a great time! We always invite lots on DD's because it's a holiday and you never know. This year we invited about 24, 1 called and said they could not come, about 12 said they could and 23 showed up.... So I guess RSVP does not mean what it used to.

Supermodel???? :goodvibes

ummm no.. But my DH would love that. I was a sales person and then a nutritionist at Nutri/Systems. Kind of stressfull actually. I know I could never sell to anyone again who was that desperate. The people that came in would give everything they have. There were several who I knew could not afford it and were taking money thier families needed. I told them to go home and call the local hospital for a group there. I wasn't the worlds greatest salesperson...

But back then...didn't they marry at 14????;)

Well...I do have a cousin that married at 14,:sad2: way back then! She is a couple of years younger than me. Still happily married to her Colorado Man from what I hear. I have not gotten to see her in years, but my mom keeps us posted about her.

But if she hadn't married him... we wouldn't have you :cutie:

True, nor my sweet Sis that I love dearly, so I guess was worth it. ;)

Sorry....but I sleep with 2 vests :lmao:

Yeah...I'd stick with supermodel next time... :sad2:

We do spend a lot of time in our room when Tyler needs breaks from all the commotion and/or naps. But maybe this time he won't take naps. I don't know....he still needs naps now, so I can't imagine that will change in 3 months, but we'll just make the best of it. No sense worrying about it. :thumbsup2 I'll just do my best to take advantage of that time and get a nap myself!

Or you may want to try deck 7 aft to find a quiet place for him outside. Or deck 4 loungers are a great place to nap!

You did keep the candy stash at home though, right???

Nope, it is still up in the cupboard! DRAT! Forgot that! There is a bottle of beer and a bottle of wine in the fridge too. We told the technician not to party too much! :lmao:

Here is the photo which I received it two days ago.

I never heard that name before unusal name.

She is beautiful!!!

Annalyse is a very frequently used name in Australia at the moment (with various spellings) - I know at least 5 girls with that name.
