Well, remember a few months back and I thought we were going to have to put Casey to sleep? We didn't as I got some good advise here, she was still eating fine and did have some good quality of life.

Well last night was a bad one for her. She gets up in the middle of the night and barks and gets lost in the house. Paul was up with her for 2 hours last night. I even woke up which is odd since I sleep thru everything.

I talked with Paul a bit ago and he wants to take her in this week

She is not doing well and really keeping him from sleep at night.

I'm so sad.

I do worry about leaving her with a pet sitter while we are gone on the repo, it's a lot to ask someone else to have to get up all night long with a crazy old dog.

Wish us luck...

I know what a hard choice this is.

When we did the 1pm show all we could get was drinks. Dinner is not served until 7pm but you should have time to eat and get back to the ship if you want dinner. You can also get just drinks at 7:30pm show.

Thanks, Nanette, for the helpful reply. I think my remaining uncertainties will clear up when Calmom gets back and answers my PM. Just for the record, I did read through everything on the private website first, but because I started out clueless, there are a lot of holes that don't get answered if you don't have a basic knowledge to start out with.

But now I think I get that:

A. Everyone should sign up for one day (either alone or with a group). More days if you want to, I suppose!
B. On your day, you give gifts to everyone else who has a fish extender, or who doesn't have a fish extender but who has signed up to particpate, in which case you try to track them down somewhere on the ship (right?).
C. If you choose the group option, Calmom will assign you to a group (and put you in touch with the group leader? Does the leader then decide on the gift?)
D. Calmom will have a list of everyone participating so you don't miss anyone when you're giving the gifts.
E. Calmom will also keep a list of who's giving what so there's no duplication.
F. Calmom is going to be a very busy bee! Does she need any help? I'm a pretty good spreadsheet maker if that would be any help at all.

They ran out in Dec. So many people on cpaps now I guess. We had borrowed one our first cruise way back, always brought our own until last Dec when we forgot. We did not think about it until bed time and by then all were loaned out.

I so understand. We went through this in October with our own dear little pup. He was 14. I wish I could offer you some words of comfort. It was the hardest decision to make and we still miss him terribly. We know it was the right decision to make, but it is still difficult to talk about. My thought are with you.

Deb...take care of that leg and keep that pressure on! Did you say that you have been fitted for the support stockings? That is one of the first steps I do with my patients who are having swelling issues. The ones that are fitted and a specific strength work so much better than the ones you get in stores.
