Ok, so I AM really pleased to just be on the ship, but it is annoying waiting for a cabin.:sad2:

Well you might just see some of our group walking the deck at night - I think there is someone doing a couple of hours for charity. Also I think it is woody who is organising regular walking round deck 4. That isn't at night though!!!!! Anyway I am sure we can squeeze you in somewhere.

We might be blacklisted now - again!!!!!:lmao:

Thanks for the invite.

Yet another question:

I've skimmed the trip reports from the Med Repos and don't See any reference to this, so once again I'll ask, rather than sit and wonder!

On these longer cruises, do they offer more extensive (i.e. unlimited) internet access plans? I can't imagine going 2 whole weeks and only using 500 minutes between the 4 of us! YIKES!

Ever since those "darn disboard" people on the WB Panama Canal Cruise in May 2005, spent all their time sharing each and every wonderful (and challenging) moments during the Magic's cruise, the unlimited internet plan was taken away. Now you have to buy minutes, the more minutes you buy, the better discount. Just remember the internet is generally "slow" so 50 minutes won't get you much in reality by the time you sit and wait for those "fishes" :rotfl: :rotfl:

I try and check when I can!! So I give up for now!! Maybe I'll check again tomorrow!!! And just think I still have to wait until the 75 day mark to make any ressies!!! What a night that will be!!!! Oh well!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!:lovestruc

I'm getting obsessed and check a few times a day!!!:lmao: :headache:

As most cruisers seem to be repeat cruisers there should in theory be less of you clogging up the system than last Saturday/Sunday night.

I do hope DCL have kept some reservations back for you all.

Oh, we are grandparents to 6 and half year old twin girls!! Great fun.

Well, headed out to lunch.

I am treating myself to a massage! Need to relieve some of the stress from the last week! Later!

I would check that often if I didn't see fish!!!:lmao: I can't seem to get past that page lately!!! I even called DCL and they told me I was "lucky" to have been able to maintain the fish for 15 minutes without being thrown out!! I'm not sure how "lucky" that is!! Hopefully tomorrow or later tonight I can see again!!!!

The way I like to think about it is, :dance3: the longer we stay in the lifeboat the better the chance for an upgrade.  Once your assigned a stateroom it is just about a done deal.

Doug and Carol...love LOVE your new avatar. You two look like newlyweds!!! :lovestruc

We are starting to get serious about our reservations and I was wondering how you book Palo brunch. We have four adults in the group. Does one person book them all or does each individual person have to book it? I just want to be prepared when feb 24 comes around.

When you pull up the available spots for Palo's at the bottom it will show you all the parties you're linked to and you can select who you want to include on that booking.

Well I had the fish for almost 6 hours on sunday morning.:scared1: One page for 1 hour before I gave up.:headache:

Hi All,
I was just checking to see if my reservations still were up, I was one of those who was having problems getting my spa reservation to stick. I would reserve it and the next day it would be gone! Very frustrating.
Anyway, We had a Cat. 11 GTY and today when I looked on our reservation, WE GOT A CABIN NUMBER!!!!!

:cool1:

I was thinking it would be some time before we got an assignment!

Check your reservations! I am off to see where my room is!

Jolene

Still in the lifeboat for me! Being a Cat 11 gty, I'dd be interested in knowing where on the ship they put you.

This has been answered, but you might want to be sure that there aren't two of you trying to access/book Palo at the same time. I think some of our problems Saturday may have been linked people trying to access Palo booking at the same time. (not sure, just a theory)

I will be on the Wonder on the 28th Feb and I will ask two of my friends who are CM's what they did when they were in port back in 2005 each week. And then I'll ask them if guests wanted to give them gift cards and such, what would they like and use.

Good plan. :thumbsup2

Are there mirrors on the outside of the bathroom doors? I can't remember....I am wondering about putting an over shoe holder on the outside to keep cabin items organized....it is a small space!

.....!

No mirrors on the door, it's on the angled wall just past the bathrooms.

How many times do all you GTY people check your ressies?

Daily.....still GTY as of about a half hour ago. :sad1:

,

How do you apply gift cards? We have gotten a few a gifts. Do you use them at the end of your trip?

When I get onboard and have time I go the desk and ask them to apply them to my account. I have Disney, American Express, and Disney rewards cards that they apply.

They can also apply the Disney gift cards beforehand. We had $1200 worth that we were able to use to establish our shipboard account with. I did it a few weeks ago and all is good (I did call back to make sure they had them recorded, just being safe). It's nice to get onboard and not have to worry about it.

Now that we have so many new folks I thought I'd repost this. I'm in the process of updating our list and have heard back from almost everyone except for about 25 people. Out of the 130 cabins we've had 2 drops.

So, if you'd like to be on the master list and aren't already please PM me with the following:

1-your DISname
2-your first and last name, names of others in your party, please include ages and grades of any children in your party (and you're welcome to include yours if you'd like)
3-cabin #
4-email address
5-geographical location
6-whether you're celebrating any special birthdays, annivs, etc.
7-whether or not you'll have a fish extender (PM pahrumpgirl (Carol) and she can share the cost details, etc)
8-whether or not you're participating in a gift giving group (PM Calmom (Lisa) if you want to join one)
*Your disboard name, first names and stateroom number will be printed in our private dis mini-navigator, unless specifically instructed not to do so. Also, each person participating in the fish exchange will have a NEMO next to their name. The rest of the information on the list will be kept private and not be published. It will be used primarily for those participating in gift giving and fish extenders, and any other special activities.

A lot of people have questions regarding what a fish extender is and how the fish gift giving groups work, so here's an explanation of those:

Fish extenders...on the outside of your cabin door is a metal fish that DCL uses to put mail in. A fish extender is something that has pockets and hangs down from your metal fish. Other DISers use the fish extender to leave you little gifts each day. Carol (pahrumpgirl) makes fish extenders or you can find them on ebay. If you want one from Carol, PM her and she can give you all the pricing details.

Gift giving....Lisa (calmom) is organizing gift giving groups. The goal is to have a different group of people giving gifts for each day of the cruise. The group of six or so people will share the cost of whatever gift they decide to give. They can be small little gifts or whatever you'd like. For example, my group of six is each pitching in $50 for a gift for each cabin particpating in the gift exchange. If you would like to join a gift giving group, please PM Lisa.

The info on all this and pictures of the fish extenders are on PJ's (pjpoohbear) ship of thieves website. There's also directions on how to make a fish extender. If you don't have access to the site, PM Pj and she'll give you the password.

Doug and Carol...love LOVE your new avatar. You two look like newlyweds!!! :lovestruc

Thank you. It was a PhotoPass picture taken last September. You can definitely tell we are at our favorite place. :cloud9: We aren't newlyweds but when we are there we are as happy as newlyweds.

We are still gty. Maybe they are working their way up the ship? :confused3 Since we are a Cat. 6 it may be awhile.

:grouphug:  pixiedust: pixiedust: to all who need them.

Carol

I thought of gift cards but I didn't know what stores they had everywhere but I guess there is a Walmart in Florida.

With a crew bus that takes them there. That, I think is the key. They need to be able to get to where the gift card are for. Cash is always nice too. ;)

If you are in 2 staterooms with 2 reservations, I would have one person from each reservation on line TRYING to get a ressie for all 4 people. First one to score would contact the other and let them know it was done.

To all of my Dis friends....

I have highlighted Holly's quotes even though I have recieved MANY wonderful thoughts from so many Disers about this.

Often it is hard to deal with something when you are on your own on something. I posted here because I already feel as if I am among friends.

I thank you very much for your kind thoughts - It makes me feel alot less alone... :grouphug:

You are not alone. :grouphug:

I wonder if this doesn't hang up the reservations also. I have two cabins and had two computers going and was never successful when they were both logged in, at least one would get hung up and I'd have to start over.
