Welcome friends, and I want to give a brief start to our trip to share with all of you..... It was a great trip although it had its stressful moments, and pixie dust moments and hot moments and more! The colds and coughs followed us there like hitchhiking ghosts, but slowly faded to whispers by the end of the week.
We started our trip on Sunday the 17th...when we left our ranch in the care of my nephew Steven and headed towards Omaha, but there was a glitch.... Kaleb complained about an earache, so we made a pitstop at the ER to see a doc... we spent 45 min there. They checked his lungs to see if there was anything to worry about like pneumonia, but it wasn't thank God! He did have double earaches... So we were given some anitbiotics and a scrip that we couldn't fill until we got home!
So now we were off of Omaha an hour late. So we called our MAW greeters that we would be late, because we had a 6 pm dinner reservation with them and we wouldn't make it until 7..... So after the 4 hours drive, we arrived at our Hotel... Courtyard by Marriott in Omaha's Old Market District.... We got into our room to find our first Pixie Dust....
It was a great surprise to come to a room decroated and full of goodies and balloons!
Well after we got settled in.... we headed to the shuttle to go to Old Chicago for a late dinner..... By this time everyone was exhausted and ready for bed....
I had some pizza, along with the Kaleb, Zoe and Nathan had Mac N Cheese, and Brian had a Calzone. We met our greeters... Helen and Cole. They were awesome and because Kaleb was so tired I didn't get his photo with them until we returned. After dinner, we returned to our hotel room and tried to crash, but sleep eluded us.......
