Matterhorn macaroon refrigeratuon

Hello!

I remember loving the Matterhorn macaroon in the past but it’s been several years since I had one. Would I be able to buy one at noonish with plans to eat it right before bed (we’re hopping to California Adventure) or would the heat make that a bad idea?

I think it would hold up pretty well. I don’t think macaroons need to be refrigerated (macarons do).

I live in Phoenix. On many occasions, I've brought a Tupperware-type container in my backpack to put Matterhorn Macaroons in. We then take them on the drive home and eat that night. They didn't necessarily get hot but I think having them in an air-tight container helped. If your getting a locker maybe put them in there when you hop to DCA.

I feel like it'd make it no problem. The icing on the "peak" might get a little sticky, but it should be fine overall.

One of my very favorite snacks! I have a hard time waiting to eat it, but I often only eat part of it and put the rest (in the bag the macaroon came in) in my backpack. It's always fine later.

These are shelf stable for several days. It will be fine.
