Matchbox cars at Disney?

Wasn't really sure where to post this???
My DS wondered to me if WDW sells matchbox type cars with disney themeing/advertising. He's not really into the pin trading thing and my other ds collects plushes so he wanted something different. He loves his matchbox collection, so I told him that I'd ask the experts here if anyone has seen this item at gift shops/ride exits etc.

We have found little cars with disney characters in them (at TT), but they were bigger and not matchbox type.

There are some Matchbox-type vechicles in the gift shop as you exit Test Track. They have miniature TT vehicles and other cars as well.

I think you can find some cars at the gift shop opposite Space Mountain. I think it's called Mickey's Star Traders. Anyway, it's right next to Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies. Also, I believe the huge toy store in DD sells cars.

I saw matchbox cars with Disney characters on them at Wal-Mart on Saturday. They were hanging on the side of an endcap, so you might have to do some looking. Good luck!

My sons were able to get Matchbox versions of the Disney busses at the giftshop at ASMo!

DS takes his own money down every year to buy a Disney bus. You can find them in the toy store at DTD. I cant think of the name.

My son bought several matchbox car sets from Downtown Disney this past Oct. I think two came in a box ex: Jafar and Genie, Scar and Simba, etc... He also got one set from the gift shop as you exit Space Mountain.
When we returned home we saw some in Toys R us but I haven't seen them there lately.

We were looking for the same thing this past June. We had seen the Disney Racers on clearance at toysrus and hoped we'd find some more. Well, my son found them in the store right after you come in at MGM. They have 2 in a package and come with a clever license plate. There are 20 cars for complete set---usually with a good guy/bad guy eg scar and simba. When we got home I looked on ebay and found a complete set for 20 which we got for his birthday. They are really cute and I'm glad we didnt pay the theme park price--although the whole set was clearanced at toys r us for $9.99! We also found a matchbox bus with sorcerer mickey and some other characters on it in the shop at the sorcerers hat. It was $9.99 but was bigger than a standard matchbox--maybe about six inches long. My 2 year old LOVES it! Good luck!
