Massages?

My DH and I would like to have a message but we would like to do it together since we have never had one before. And my DH would also like a women to do it as I would like a man. Can anyone let me know how much $ and was it worth it. Thank you for all of your imput.

I had a massage on my cruise and I really enjoyed it but then I have never been disappointed with any massage! I believe you can book a couples massage for Castaway Cay, not entirely sure though. As for wanting a man, this may seem dumb but in my several trips to the spa I never saw even one male CM. I do know that some companies will not do cross gender massages (that sounds more interesting than I meant it to , I mean men only massage men and women only massage women). I do not know it that applies to Disney.

I know they offer couple massages on the ship. We booked the REAS package which includes a couple massage on board. I don't know about the gender of the spa CMs. But personally I would perfer a male to massage me. In my experiencing when going to spas the male therapists can get to the deeper tissues better and I get a better massage. I would just ask when setting it up onboard.

Just a word of caution.........we were on a hurricane cruise in September and I booked a massage that was a little over $200 with tip if my memory serves me correctly. It was my first massage, so I wanted to make sure I had the best, I must say it felt great at the time. What nobody told me was that all of the toxins that were released made me very ill a few hours later. I drank water, just as the CM had told me to do but lost the whole evening after dinner because I was so physically ill! If I had known what I know now I never would have had it. She obviously did a fabulous job as I did not have the pains I used to get in my neck/back since then, but I think I would venture for the land version next time.

DH and I had the couples' massage on the Magic a few months ago and we both had female CMs. It was fine, not uncomfortable in the least

At the time we booked it through the Romantic Escape at Sea package the couples' massages were listed at $89 each person, ($178 for a couples' massage). Now it's $109. for a 1-person massage, or $242 for a couples' massage.

P.S. We LOVED the massages. We both did the "Spa Taster" and enjoyed it immensely
