I wasn't sure where to put this... it is about saving money but it's specific to tickets and only in MA, LOL

This weekend is the annual sales tax holiday which saves us from paying the 6.25% state tax. I was curious if I could purchase our 5-day Disney tickets from AAA or someplace else IN MA (like Disney Stores, etc) and save from paying the sales tax even though we won't be using them until December?

Has anyone done this before? or heard of it being done? It could in theory save me $35-$40 in taxes on just two tickets if so.

I'm not certain whether or not this works, but I'd be willing to bet you're better off buying from a licensed reseller (not direct from disney, or AAA), but a site like undercover tourist (subscribe to mousesavers for the discount link).

AAA is only $5 more than UCT for the tickets we'll be buying that's why I was curious. IF I could save the sales tax on them at AAA it would be much more than $10 I'll save with UCT so I figured it'd be the best deal. I did buy one of our tickets from UCT but I thought I'd get the other two for less if I could.

I don't believe I can get the no sales tax though since they charge the FL tax not the MA one. (At least this is what someone else told me)

no you don't save the tax. the tax on tickets is actually not a MA tax, it's the florida taxes. same price as you would buy at the parks. I used to work at a disney store in NH and got soo many people giving me a hard time about the "tax" because NH has no tax.

Yes, when I bought an AP voucher at the Marlboro store they charged me FL tax on it.
