Would be close by.Wow, Weldon only has a population of 205. Furthest east I have been in Saskatchewan is Candle Lake, but that is north of Weldon by about 80 miles.

Doesn’t seem much info out there yet.So sad that there is so much hate in some people. I see they have the same last name but don't really look alike, any news on if they are related or married?
Prayers for Canada.
Any word on sightings or which way they might have headed? I expect they will end themselves before they're apprehended - that seems to be what usually happens with mass-murderers.Still no arrests.

There's very few details released by Law Enforcement yet but I'd bet a lot that the entire spree started as a domestic incident. Since there are two perpetrators though, I highly doubt the catalyst was a mental-health crisis. We had a horrific incident here in Calgary 9 years ago where 5 university students were stabbed to death at a house party by a perp in the throes of schizophrenic psychosis, but that's a little harder to believe when there are two individuals involved.None that I have heard.
I do know that 6 of the dead are from the same family. Heard that via unofficial Facebook stories.
No, it hasn't - no relationship between the two of them has been disclosed. You have to understand that on First Nations Reserves, there are many, many, many people sharing surnames that may only be distantly related or not claim any actual relationship at all. They may well be brothers or cousins or simply raised in the same household (unofficial fostering and adoption is also very common - many people live quite communally on reserves) and both assumed the surname - it's impossible to accurately speculate. It seems like maybe they are brothers? Has that been determined yet? Same last name, one year apart, features are somewhat similar.
