Left Detroit on October 20 via Champion airlines, great flight, actually left a few minutes early,
and it was only half full, so we were able to spread out, only 140.00 pp and non stop. Arrived
in Orlando, and was met by George from YOURRIDE, they were very good, he was standing
there with a neon pink sign as we came down the escalators, he really stood out since all the
other drivers were holding white signs with black lettering. I had spoke with Rabbitt, the owner of the business and he was very personable, anyways all went very smooth with the
the transportation from airport to hotel. Arrived at CR, I was origionally booked in a wing room, but the only ones availible were in either wing but very far out, so I bit the bullett and
paid the extra to be in the tower. This was the best decision I ever made. We were put on the
11th floor, room 4732 looking right at the Castle and the GF. The room and the bathroom was
very spacious. The CR was 87 percent full, Tracey from the front desk told me the CR was doing better at filling rooms than the other resorts, there were alot of conferences going on
while we were there. By now we were starving, since they don't give you anything but pretzels on the plane anymore, it was now 145pm, we made it to the Concourse Steak House
before they quit serving lunch at 2pm. This was our first and our Best meal the entire week. I
had the Filet Mignon and my DH had the New York strip, they serve garlic cheesey mashed potatoes that are to die for!! I had to get the recipe for them, and Joan was nice enough to get it for me. We ate at this a few times during our stay, and we had Joan all 3 times, she was a very nice lady, "More about her later". Went upstairs to unpack and relax on the balcony a little. We had tickets to LaNouba our first night. I cannot say enough great things about this show, spend the extra money a see it. I seen it 2 years ago, it was my DH"S first time, We have seen many very good shows in Vegas, and it's right up there with the best of them, what an incredibly talented group of people. But the theater has the tiniest seats I've ever had to squeeze in, just like airplane seats. After the show we went back to the CR to watch the fireworks from the rooftop, WOW what a view, we were so tired, we forgot we could see them from our room. We went to the food and fun center for a lite dinner and to get our mugs, We really like the food court here. I think I was asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. The End of part 1
