We just booked Marriott Newport Beach Villas, which looks lovely. We are staying for four nights...does anyone have first hand experience..we plan to visit Disneyland for two of the four days. How far is it? Anything else we should see in the Newport beach area?
Thanks!

I say it takes about thirty minutes to get to Dis from the Marriott because of traffic. Just try to plan your day around the traffic hours.
If you like malls, then try Fashion Island in Newport. It is an outdoor mall and is really beautiful. They have fountains for the kids to play in, a carosel, and koi fish with steps the kids can walk across. It is our favorite mall, other than the Costa Mesa mall that is also pretty close to where you are going to be staying. CM is very upscale though. Basically every luxury designer is in that mall like Burberry, Louis Vuitton, etc. They also have a carosel. Have fun.

The hotel is about 9 miles south of John Wayne Airport so I would guesstimate that it's about 35 -45 minutes from Disneyland. With traffic, it could be as much as an hour.

The hotel is next to PCH, and right next to Crystal Cove State Park. Head south to Laguna and North to Corona Del Mar and Huntington Beach.

I lived in Newport Beach for 3 years and drove to work at Disneyland almost every day. Newport Beach is a great place for dining and shopping but also for active people. There are so many great places to run, bike, swim, golf, and play tennis.
