All,

I have stayed at the Cyprus Pointe resort, which we all liked very much (stayed in 10/01). That was through an exchange my folks made (they are hard-core time share owners with three weeks in Vermont and Hilton Head).

This year, we decided to go on our own, and stayed at the Holiday Inn Family Suites. Not bad, and very conveniently located, but not quite the same as the full scale timeshare condo.

For our next visit to the parks, I want to go back to the time share style vacation (bumming a week from my parents again). I'm hoping that we can do the best of both worlds, and stay at one of the "Palms" resorts (Sabel, Imperial, or Royal) which are closer to WDW. We're planning our trip for early December (of 2004), so I would expect the demand to be a bit lower.

Can any one give me any insight into these properties on 536 (right next to the Mariott World Center). It's such a great location, I would just hope that the rooms and the resorts compare favorably with the Cyprus Point or Grande Vista resorts.

Thanks in advance for any advice or opinions.

I stayed at the Royal Palms with my dad in December. We loved it - two bedrooms/two baths (jacuzzi in master bedroom), full kitchen. We were right on the golf course with a screened-in porch. Right across the street was one of the other ones (and I can't remember which one). All three are on the same property as the Marriott World and it is very easy to get to the parks (assuming you have a car) - 5 to 10 minutes. I would definetly stay there again (or at the other two which seem to be pretty similar. I don't think there is a restaurant on property (except up at the Marriott hotel), but we went shopping and used the kitchen and/or ate elsewhere.
