Who'd love to take 4-5 months to work at Disney. I know technically we can still do the CP even though it's not designed for grad students, but I was wondering if we'd be best to choose a seasonal regular job or do the CP.

With the CP do they require housing ? (So we'd be separated?)

Are there any good options for 5-6 month leases that are reasonable and nearby?

Thanks in advance!

Married housing is offered for CPs. I'm not sure about the cost though, but it's probably not cheap. A seasonal cast member isn't guaranteed hours, while a CP is. Depending on the role seasonal might get paid more though? (don't know about that) I've heard of CPs who have pushed to stay off site and were allowed, so another option for living might be a vacation home.

They're usually fully furnished and sometimes people rent them for long term rentals. I was told long time rental is 7 months and up? On my PI I rented in Club Cortile $1000 a month for a 4 bedroom. I believe them rental prices have come down a lot now though. You could always get a PI roommate to help share the cost!

If you don't want to stay in Disney Housing, call around to vacation homes front offices -- they usually know of people in the community willing to rent long term.

Thank you for your help- it's wonderful to know that married housing is offered. I wonder how expensive it is.

someone else posted on the college board with almost the same question- i don't remember where...
all you guys need is your marriage license which i think you have to fax to recruiting and then have it with you down there and then they will give you a 1 br apartment. :thumbsup2
I believe it costs the same as the other CPers have to pay... :confused3

While seasonal sounds like a fun option, it's next to impossible to get right now. Most of our seasonal CMs are former CPs, or former FT/PT CMs that are now doing something else. To go straight into seasonal is not common. I would give Disney Casting a call to see if there are any opportunities before I would consider it an option.

Correct, seasonal makes more than CPs in the same role.

Yep - it would cost the same as a regular CP one bedroom apartment that varies based on the complex.

So we'd pay 162 a week for an apartment, with all bills included? That's not too bad.

I don't think so... $82/week per person is for the cheapest apartment available, which wouldn't be a one bedroom. I'd say it'd probably be closer to around a total of $210 a week for the apartment, as the highest price listed for rent on the college program site is $108 per week. I'm guessing $108 is for a one bedroom in Patterson. Chatham is probably a few dollars cheaper for a one bedroom.
