I like them better than the similar couple last season. Jaclyn seems less of a psycho.Jaclyn and Ryan are the only ones with a chance. The other two I don't think are good for each other at all.
I am, but it seems like the couples are exactly the same as first season. The couple who have instant chemistry and then can't get along, the cute couple with problems and then the couple who she doesn't like him then realizes he's prince charming. But I'm hooked.
Ryan isn't far from home. Aren't they living in the city (queens? Brooklyn?) he's from LI.
It appears their homes were about 40 miles apart, putting NYC right in between them. Both are about 40 minutes from home now, without traffic. If they work where they used to live, both would at least be going against the worst traffic. Most people in this are don't blink at an hour commute. Public transportation is good. They both moved half way to the mid point. "Far" is different to many people. I thought they said he was 40 miles from LI and with traffic is was 2ish hours or something. That would be far considering he lived at home for 28 years and the only person he now lives nearby he's only known for 1 week.
Follow Jamie on FB she truly a amazing person!I'm glad to see lots of you are watching again this season! I thought I was the only one!
I really liked Ryan D and Jessica at first. Ryan seems a little too obsessed with his grandparents' marriage though. He says nasty things to Jessica because he thinks that is what his grandfather did to his grandmother. Huh? There's a world of difference between a couple married 50 years and a couple married 2 weeks. He shouldn't expect Jessica to understand his logic after only a couple of weeks. And she needs to learn to speak up. They will never make it if he is going to continue blowing up at her and storming out instead of talking it out. He also is starting to seem a little OCD to me. The whole ironing on the bed thing was crazy, as was his passive aggressive comment about her not cooking dinner for him after she said she liked to cook.
Ryan and Jaclyn are this season's Doug and Jamie. I am glad she looked past the superficial stuff and is getting to know him better. I think they have a shot at making it. The only problem they may run into though is his strong feeling of responsibility to his mother and niece. If he starts putting them ahead of his wife they may run into trouble.
I am on the fence with Davina and Sean. She seems to expect him to be a mind reader, and he obviously becomes withdrawn when confronted with change. At least he is making an attempt to work it out by seeking help from the expert. She is seriously clingy and needy though. She needs to get a grip.
It's funny, but I can honestly see the flaws in all of them. It's easy to see why they all have had such a hard time finding someone in the past. It will be interesting to see which couples are going to be willing to put in the work to make these marriages last.
Did any of you watch the Doug and Jamie vow renewal special? I thought it was just beautiful, and they seem very much in love and committed to making their marriage work. I hope they give another update on Cortney and Jason. They seemed a little rocky there at the end of the show.
