Married at First Sight

I don't know if any of these couples are going to stay together. First season you at least saw them growing to like one another but this year they are all over the place. No one wants to compromise.

I couldn't sleep one night and found this on and started watching. I'm hooked. It seemed like such a stupid premise and I knew I'd hate it. Wrong!! I haven't gone back and watched Season 1 but I may now. I find myself rooting for all three of the couples. At times I've liked and disliked all of them. I agree that Davina seems like a pill but I really like Sean and I hope they work it out. It seems crazy that she keeps complaining that he isn't attracted to her yet she was the one that said she didn't want to have sex until she was in love. He's being considerate of her wishes and damned because of it. Ryan and Jaclyn are my least favorite of the three couples. He is unattractive in my opinion and way too much of a momma's boy. His whining about missing his mom would get on my last nerve. Dude, grow up, you are 34 (or thereabouts)! Jaclyn should've had a clue when she found out he still lived with his mom. Ryan and Jessica are the beautiful people, lol. They both seem self-centered and too quick to fly off the handle but they are still somewhat likeable. I think the decision comes next week - I can't wait!!

If you like this season, you will love last season. The couples there were way more likable IMO....with Doug and Jamie being the best. Watching that relationship blossom was amazing.

These couples seem to be a bit more hastily thrown together. They (the experts) had far less time this time around to figure out who to match. And, I think it shows. I'd be surprised if Sean and Devina survive, or Ryan and Jess. Ryan and Jacklyn, I think have a chance.

It's two more shows till the end. Next week shows the last days leading to the decision, and then in two weeks time, the actual show where they show them deciding.

When I first stumbled on this show I thought "how ridiculous". But now I watch it every week. I agree with the previous posters about the couples. Ryan (with Jacklyn) is a bit of a momma's boy but he seems to be coming around. His niece is so adorable!

To be fair to Ryan (of Ryan and Jaclyn), he lived with his mother to help care for his niece. The little girl's parents are both deceased (Ryan's sister was her mother). I agree with a PP that if you like this season, you should definitely watch Season 1. I think you will enjoy it even more.

Sean and Davina are painful to watch. They both grate on my nerves. There's no affection whatsoever between the two of them. They think that doing puzzles and buying lego is going to get things going? Really? Obviously they really aren't attracted to the other. Otherwise there would be some side hugs. LOL

Forgot to add - does anyone else crack up every time they mention Dr. Pepper? :rolleyes1

LOVE Dr. Pepper :) DH and I were both able to take her human sexuality course at the UW in the 90s. It was the most popular course on campus, which is really saying something since the UW is a huge university :)

I have to watch it every week too. I don't like Devina. She is high maint and Sean isn't attracted to her at all otherwise, in my opinion, he would be making some kind of move. In my opinion I think he is gay. If he is straight then he is just not that into her and good Lord how could you be she is awful.
Jess and Ryan..... I don't know. I don't like Ryan. He can't even look at Jessica - everything seems forced between them and he is always looking at it from the experiment view point not like this should be forever.
I like the other Ryan and Jaclyn. They could work together with the exception of her pulling and smacking his face. I would grab her hand in a red hot minute and tell her to never do that again lol!!! I think they are the most honest with themselves and each other.

Can't wait til Tuesday though lol!

I think Sean IS attracted to Davina, but she told him she wanted to wait. He thinks he's doing what she wants. Meanwhile, she is complaining that he's not making overtures. Definitely a communication issue.

My mom loves that show. My dad can't stand it. And I have no plans to watch it myself. Looks so unreal.

When Davina walked in at the beginning of this last episode with another stupid puzzle I just about lost it. STOP WITH THE PUZZLES lol! She is looney tunes.

I think Ryan and Jessica are finally learning to communicate with each other. I'm glad they occasionally have the experts to help them get on the right track. A couple weeks ago I. Thought they were doomed, but I don't know now. He seems more able to keep his temper in check which is a good thing.

Sean and Davina are hard to figure out. I think she wants her independence, but she also wants a lapdog chasing after her and fawning over her to stroke her ego. She is giving him such mixed signals that it makes my head spin. I think she needs more help than the professionals can give them in 6 weeks.

Ryan and Jaclyn seem almost immature to me. I think Ryan is using his niece as a crutch to cling to his mother. The niece seems fine without him on a daily basis, and has repeatedly said she wants them to stay together. It's not like his niece has no one, she has her grandma to take care of her. On the other hand, if Jaclyn thinks heating a hot pocket in a skillet and throwing some potato chips on the plate is cooking him a nice dinner, then she is seriously out of touch. It's kind of strange that Ryan won't have sex with her anymore. Once she gave in, he was no longer interested. It makes me think that he was more interested in the chase than anything else.

This season is sure keeping me guessing. I have to agree with those who say that the first season's couples were more likeable. I really enjoyed watching their first tear together. I hope they give us another update on them.

What I never get about the show is why do they have to decide by the end of the season? It's their life, unless they're really miserable, why not just keep trying? I mean they're already married, they already live together, what do they have to loose to try when there's no cameras?

Then they can decide to stay together and work on it. The 6 weeks is for show purposes. They can obviously still split up later down the road. Staying together at the end of the 6 weeks is just saying "I think we'll giving it a shot."

Well that's like any marriage, there's no binding contract. I mean they make it seem like you have to know at 6 wks(I totally get for show purposes, but they came back to followed Doug & Jamie, & Courtney & Jason for a yr), I think at 6 wks the camera should go away & come back a few months later with a better answer from the couples.

Who watched tonight's episode?

Now with just a week left to go, I think Jess & Ryan and Jaclyn & Ryan will choose to stay married but Sean & Davina will choose to divorce. I like Sean but I'm rather annoyed that he came into the experiment saying he was agreeable to relocating and then won't move to NYC. He is a nurse which is highly employable. Why in the world can't he at least look for hospitals or other nursing positions closer to Manhattan?

Since it was recommended by others on this thread I looked for Married, Season 1. Unfortunately, I could only find Married the first year which was still pretty entertaining. One of the things the show really doesn't cover is finances. During the first year, Cortney lost her job and wanted to start a make-up business. Yet, they moved to a larger apartment and then took an expensive trip to Vegas where they renewed their vows. I have to assume the show pays to follow them. Same with Jamie & Doug, no discussion of money concerns although Doug bought Jamie a new car, a diamond engagement ring, and then they had a wedding vow renewal in St. Thomas with all their family members. That can't be inexpensive...

I watched tonight, too. I agree that Davina & Sean may be the couple to not make it. Neither want to budge or be flexible, I can see why they had yet to be married prior to this. They seem like difficult awkward people in general.

I agree Davina and Sean are not going to make. You could see it in their body language sitting on the couch. I told my daughter could she get any closer into that corner. Ryan and Jaclyn were leaning into each other and even Ryan and Jess were close.

Thought it was funny that both Davina and Sean were in sweat shirts to go to bed too.

I missed what Jaclyn gave to Ryan and why. Saw these two more outside the apartment ,like the pottery last week and pictures this week.

Would love an update on the first season's update. Did Jamie talk Doug into a baby yet?
