So to recap, we are at the Wilderness Lodge - we had just been swimming and now we are headed over to the beach. There is sand, Henry must dig!
One of our refillable mugs became Henry's bucket and the lid was his shovel. It worked slick and we had plenty to spare due to our split reservations (and we'd be getting more at BLT!)
Joe and I hung out in lounge chairs while our happy boy dug and dug
After a while Joe and I took turns playing with him while the other did absolutely nothing at all but stare at the water. I am normally a get-up and go person, but this day, it was very nice to just do nothing. The sun was shining, there was a slight breeze - it was perfect.
I wish I could remember what we were chatting about!
We hit up the playground for a bit, then went back to digging. I wandered a bit while returning the life jacket that we had gotten for the pool and getting us all some water.
Love that Disney themeing!
About 3:00 we cleaned up and went back inside to take some pictures and find a snack before leaving.
Inside Roaring Fork I wasn't sure what I wanted. Hmmm....then suddenly I remembered! It was one of those really exciting moments when you remember something that you've been logging into your memory banks - something you knew you had to see or experience due to rave reviews on another TR....and I cannot recall who it was but, THIS
became my snack -and as soon as I read the description, Joe grabbed one too!
It's the Magic Cookie Bar! Basically a 7-layer bar.
And what better place to enjoy these beauties than poolside?
Henry was pretty pumped over having another Mickey Bar!
Coconut, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, peanut butter, maybe some nuts...all goodness smooshed into a big 'ol bar.
A very good, but very sweet bar. I couldn't finish mine - Joe demolished his and the rest of mine.
Okay...this trip was 7 months ago, I'm so thankful I took notes, because this is, word for word what I have written from this snack time: "Henry quote from snack time: "Mickey Mouse tastes like sausage."
