Marriage proposal ideas for 12/16 weekend

Congratulations!!

If you do a proposal during Wishes, in front of the Castle...maybe you could somehow have a PhotoPass member take pictures of the magical moment.

I agree...I've always thought it must be terribly romantic to be proposed to during Wishes!

Does she have any days off of work that make a long weekend coming up? Like MLK, President's Day, etc? That would give you a little more time.

Was there something on your last trip that she really loved? (Other than you of course!) That might make a nice spot. Sometimes the romance comes from the moment and the meaning, not from it being a "romantic location".

Congratulations.

we are going!!! most likely leaving early am on the 16th and coming back on the 19th. Think i'm gonna do it sat night during wishes, try to find a semi-private spot. then on the 18th we'll get to relive the moment with regular wishes and MVMCP wishes. I cant wait!! :goodvibes

Good luck with your proposal!! My boyfriend (now fiance) proposed to me while we were at Epcot last week. He did it while we were meeting Belle and the Beast, and he talked with the cast member with them to let her know what he was going to do and arranged to have Aurora there too. We had family members with us, and they captured the moment for us with the camera! It was a perfect proposal, just as I am sure yours will be when you propose!

Just make sure you try to ask a cm close by or some friendly person if they could capture the picture when you ask. There are definitely some nice areas to stand while wishes is going one. Whether it be the little bridge by crystal palace or in the rose garden down by the water.

I have a girlfriend that was proposed to in the rose garden they had a little table with 2 chairs and flowers to sit at while watching wishes. I believe it was arranged by gifts of a lifetime.

Congratulations and she is one lucky woman to have a man so caring

PROPOSE ON THE 16TH!!!! That's when DH proposed to me in Disneyworld 3 years ago!!!!! He proposed behind Cinderella Castle (right between the castle and carousel) and gave the video camera to the cast member working beneath the castle before he did it. Now we have it all on tape! Actually, he did it during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party which made it even more special because there were less people in the parks. Good luck in whatever you choose, she'll love it!!

And I was engaged for 2.5 years, so I know about long engagements - I think they're great because you can get a lot done and not stress out too much. :)

Good luck!

Get there about twenty minutes before they throw the switch. The first time I saw the Osborne lights, I did this and it's amazing. First, there's the music - then it starts snowing, then they tell the story of the lights and then when the lights come on....it's amazing. I get a bit weepy just thinking about it. The last time I did it, I remember seeing couples dancing on the Streets of America to the Christmas Music. So, my suggestion? After the lights go on, propose. The "snow" will be falling, the lights will be on, the music will be playing.

Find a good spot, where you can see the lights really well, but something significant as well. Scope out the place.

Anyway, that's my suggestion. :sunny:
This gets my vote.

This is what my husband did for me.

Wishes boat cruise.

Close to the end, when the blue fairy says "Let us all put our hearts together, to make a wish come true!" Get down on one knee and tell her your wish is for her to be your wife.

I get misty just thinking about that one.

We flew down on a Friday night, flew back on Sunday, so it was just for the weekend. It was perfect. All my friends are still think that was the best proposal.

Oh she'll love it. Heck, she sure couldn't turn you down! :thumbsup2 I bet the CMs would be more than willing to help you out in making it extra special!

This is so great! I wanted my husband to do something in front of everyone but instead he did it with just the 2 of us. I was kind of upset he didn't put any extra thought into it. Make sure you have someone take pictures to show your family and friends. I would also say while your up in the air on dumbo I know some may not consider that romantic but it is my favorite ride. ha-ha :wizard:

Oooh! We'll be there the 18th through the 20th! Maybe I'll see the big proposal. I'm planning on making my new tag a lie, so if you do it at the Osborne Lights then maybe I'll be a witness!

We will be there that weekend also. We would love to be the camera man for your big question!

We newlyweds (just married in February) will be there with family 12/15-12/20 if you need a 2nd cameraman. Congratulations!

If you can, print out all these posts to give to your fiance. I bet she would love to have a reminder of how well thought out your proposal was and would cherish them forever. Congratulations. I'm sure it will be perfect no matter what you decide.
