Marrakesh any good?

We went last September and it was one of my favorites. The food was all very good and the Crepes Atlas for dessert was great! I wasn't sure about this restaurant but decided to give it a try and I would definitely go back again.

We loved Marrakesh! DH had the pastry sampler and after tasting the chocolate baklava (sp?) I was sold!

Lemon Chicken came out undercooked badly. When put right, even then it was bland meat and 3 quality chicken.
Kabobs had a sauce on em that tasted like nothing more than watered down plain tomato sauce.
Lamb was good, but there aren't many ways to mess that up. It has its own flavor enhancement built in.
Kid's Burger and Fries were atrocious.
Crepes Atlas was grrrrrr8!!!
Our appetizers
Bastilla, Brewat, were all good but not great.
The other deserts were ok.
Belly dancer was great and she was great with the kids. Loved that.
Band was good but the set and the belly dancer were short.

I'd suggest the counter if you want to try Moroccan and go to a different TS.

Maybe we got the rookie chef.

Marrakesh is awesome - my favourite restaurant in Epcot, and we've been to a ton! The couscous and tabouli are great. My DD who had just turned 2, tried couscous for the first time and ate it all up - she is a very good eater (no fast food for us!), as we eat very healthly both at home and on vacation, but this was her first time trying something new, and she loved it! The atmosphere is great too.

Happy eating, Tiger

We loved Marrakesh. We ate there on the DDP and my DW had the Royal Feast and I had the other Feast (can't remember the name). The food and atmosphere was great. You have to understand that the food may not taste like what we are used to. They strive to make it as authentic as possible. One of out appetizers had powdered sugar on it. It was some kind of a beef roll. Different but very good. The had a 2 piece band that started playing at 6:30 and to our delight, a belly dancer! :thumbsup2

Restaurant Marrakesh

I loved Marrakesh. I'd never had Moroccan food and was concerned about the spicing, but I enjoyed each course of the chef's special. I've heard some complaints that the food is watered-down Moroccan, but I'd go back in a heartbeat!

When I was there w my dd it was a long time ago, but we really enjoyed it. We are VERY picky eaters. :rolleyes1

I'm really glad to read all the good reviews. DH and I have thought about trying the resturant for a long time but we still keep hesitating. But after reading such positive things, I think we'll just go ahead and try it.
