My husband and I will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary on Saturday April 23rd. We'll be spending the day at USF and IOA and want to have dinner at Margaritaville. If we close out the parks (currently both scheduled to close at 6pm), how difficult will it be to get a table for dinner? We're staying off-site, so I doubt we qualify for priority seating. Please help!:confused3

I'd make a reservation to make sure you get a table. Sometimes, when the parks close, Citywalk gets jammed. In last October, I made a reservation by calling them in the afternoon, for later that evening. For last Christmas, I made the reservation online a month or so ago before, and both were the only way we got a table around when we wanted it. The walk up line can be really long.

Has anyone every booked using Open Table? I found a couple of spots available that evening... but didn't know if this is a legit way to reserve?

Go for it!

Last year a group of us did not have a ressie for m'ville on a Saturday night

Went on a list
Close to a 90 minute wait for our table

Make a ressie with open table

Thanks everyone! I used Open Table and got a reservation for 6:30pm (parks close that day at 6). So excited!!! I'm a huge Jimmy Buffett fan :cool1:

We really enjoy Margaritaville.........fun place anytime........

Glad you got your booking sorted.......I didn't realise how big a Jimmy Buffet fan my husband was till I realised he knew all the words to all the songs that came on........and he wasn't shy in sharing that........lol.......

Love it though...........

I'm always amazed at how busy this place is! We went on a Sunday and waited over an hour after they said nearly 30 minutes. The kids were not very happy, but... I got a margarita and didn't seem to mind. That window bar is gold. I never think about making Reservations at Universal... just kinda... go with the flow. Glad you got one though and Happy Anniversary!

used a couple of times. Only once did we run into an issue. Has a res @ 8:30 pm and were told since it was slow they went to open seating (February, parks had closed early). We had party of 5 and had to wait a bit snag one as many diners were done but kept in place waiting around for the band.

They kept closing that thing down early when I was there in December and I was so sad!!! It was SUPER slow that week so they had every right too... but I was sad. I can't walk past it without getting a margarita... that's a big no no.
