what do you guys do? Do you bring them, or just drink it from a regular glass?

it may not taste the same from a regualr glass......:rotfl2:

We buy/bring those "large" red disposable plastic cups. They can carry a miriad of concoctions, albeit "anonymously" to and from the pool and they don't break. Beer, sangria, frozen drinks, sodas, you name it and you can even put a salt rim on them!

We travel with a bunch of teenagers who like frozen drinks, I make sure to mark my cup to insure no mistakes between alcoholic and non!

Happy vacation!

I don't even like drinking my wine out of a cheap wine glass and I bring a single stemless Riedel to use when we stay.

thanks for the replies...i dont mind the red cups..but my wife and sis in law will definately have something to say about that!!!.....:confused3

i'll search riedel glasses and see what we come up with

thanks!!!

:) Mama has promised to make me White Russians this trip--the bigger the glass...the bigger the drink...so I am going to hide those little clear glasses. I am gonna have to whip the 16 oz cup outta the Owner's Locker--that's what I am talkin' about.

I am a Martini girl. I buy a Martini glass in one of the shops every trip as my souveneir. I use it while I am there, and then add it to my collection at home!:thumbsup2

OK I'm not fancy. I just mix up a batch and pour it in my Disney mug!! It keeps it cold at the pool, though I don't give it a chance to get warm...

:) Heck I would drink my Mom's Russians out of a milk jug if I had to.

I don't think they make margarita glasses - just wanted to elaborate on your remark that margaritas may not taste the same in a regular glass. I like margaritas too, and I like them with salt in a traditional shape margarita glass!!! So I found these for you:

I actually bought some plastic margarita glasses/cups (?) from christmas tree shop, great for salt and they do the trick!

Now that's a good idea. Dh and I just use the red plastic cups.

I use whatever glass is around, but I usually bring salt with me. This thread made me think of the trip I took to WDW, and I packed extra ice cube trays to make sure I had enough ice to make drinks. My family and friends gave me a hard time about that one, but I wanted to be prepared. No one wants warm drinks!

Bought some plastic ones at CVS during their end of summer sale. $.62 each.
didn't really have specific plans for them but now think a couple will be traveling to WDW in a little over a month. They are funky colors with fabric flowers around the bottom. Haven't tried putting salt on them but I am probably the only one who does anyway so it won't be a big deal. At least they will be the right shape.

I put a zip lock heavy duty in my backpack and make a pass by the ice machine on way back from parks. That takes care of afternoon cocktail

going to pool I too use the Mickey refillable mug.:goodvibes

lots of good ideas here...we will be there new years eve so wanted to have some special glassesto make it a bit more "fun"..thanks to all for the replies!!!!!!!

I drink mine on the rocks so it IS the same if I just use a glass...when I order them out in a bar they're always in a glass. I'm guessing you're talking about frozen margaritas?

I can reassure all the Margarita lovers out there that the regular glass in the villa will not change the taste of the beloved concoction. I have experimented with it by sugaring the rim, salting the rim, leaving the rim naked, makeing them frozen and of course on the rocks, flavored, traditional...just for this important research...they were all fine!:rotfl:
