Does anyone have info. on Mardi Gras. We will be there on Saturday Feb 23. Now if we are there during the day can you just stay for it. what time does the park stay open to. We are going with our 15 13 and 8 year olds. I am getting more excited by the minute. :yay:

How abundant are the beads? Are people courteous or crazy about them? Will it be fun for 7-11 year old kids?

37 days to go... can't wait!

It says regular park hours are to 7pm does the park just stay open for mardi gras? What time does it stay open to, and will children enjoy this? 15 14 8 year olds

There are a lot of beads thrown in the parade . . . but in my experience people go crazy over them. It can get a little intense. I stay in the back with my kids. There is also a kids only viewing area.

I have kids younger than yours and they love watching the parade, and the characters strolling around beforehand. It is a lot of fun! We look forward to it every year.

The park is open until the concert is over...usually around 11pm or so. HOWEVER, once the park closes, you have to either have an AP or a Mardi Gras ticket to enter. If you already have a day ticket, stay in the park and you'll be fine. I don't remember if all of the attractions are open during the concert but I don't think they are.

Sounds like fun. I won't tell them about the beads so it will be a bonus if they happen to get some. We'll have to look for the kids only viewing area.

36 more days... party:

there are so many beads that you almost are guaranteed to get some.

It's hard not to get beads, there are thousands! I'm sure your kids will love it, make sure you get a good spot for the parade.

Ok, so let me clarify - is the parade at IOA or UO? We will be at the parks on March 8th and would like to see the parade only at 8pm so would we need a separate ticket or can we just stay in the park with our day passes?

Mardi Gras is held at the Studios only...not IOA and you can stay in the park with the day passes w/o having to pay anything additional.
