does disney have anything for Mardi Gras ? i thought i heard or read that pleasure island had a show or something?

The last time I was there for Mardi Gras was 2000. We stayed at Port Orleans. They had some small activities at the resort (creole cooking demos, etc.). We also went to Pleasure Island. They had a little parade (some of the cast of Adventures Club in cars) and they threw beads. Do NOT FLASH your naughty bits! You will be thrown out. Nudity not needed for beads. Perhaps they keep this event more low key due to the chemical equation of Alchohol + Beads = Stupidity.
