Marcia's Solo Trip to Pop, Apr-May 08, lots of pics! *updated 7/3 day 8*

Hey Marcia! Don't get scared...I'm not stalking you--- I just enjoy your reports! And, as always, I'm so impressed by your pictures. What a great time to go visit with all the topiaries!

Thanks for the inspiration for the Pop mug concoction. I was wondering if I should invest in one if the coffee is so-so, as rumoured. I'll make sure to try the "Marcia special".

Can't wait for your next post!

Loved the mpixof Mickey, Minnie & Goofy flower bushes! We werethere in April/May last year and Epcot was soooo pretty!!

hey guys and to anyone else reading as well, thanks for your patience! i've been putting much more effort into my dining report (sorry!), so this trippie is getting neglected. but i'm just about to type out another section, so it will be up in a little bit!

Thurs, May 1, Day 2, Part 2

So when I left you, I was leaving the Beach Club, headed back to Epcot, after my breakfast at Cape May Cafe. As I took the walk back through the International Gateway, I formulated my plan. It was definitely time to get another FP, and so I headed for Mission: Space. Figured, I already had one for Soarin saved from before, and I wouldn't need one for Test Track, since I could use single rider. Here's a pic I snapped on my way from World Showcase back to M:S.
dis2008-05075.jpg

So, with my trusty M:S FP in hand, I of course then headed over to the Land to make use of my Soarin FP. Man, do I love those Fast Passes! My notes get a little slack here, so I apologize. But I do know that I got to ride in the front row of Soarin, without even asking for it, which is always nice. And then I rode Test Track single rider at some point, and also Spaceship Earth. This was the first time I had ridden SE since it reopened, since I missed it when I was there in November. I thought the end was stupid. I don't remember much about the ride before, since the last time I rode was 2001, but yeah, that's what I have to say about that.

Then I had a date in Japan with Miyuki. I love watching this lady make candy. I knew I would be cutting it close though, because Miyuki started at 2:15pm, and my ADR for Akershus was at 2:40pm. But this was the only chance I was going to have to see her this day, and it's a good thing I did, because the other days I came back, she was off! So here she is, doing her magic

dis2008-05080.jpg

I left a bit early to make sure I made my ADR, although, I did stop a couple times along the way to enjoy the scenery!
dis2008-05081.jpg

And then I saw it. Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs topiary!!! I was sooooo excited! I think I have mentioned it before, but Bashful is my favorite Disney character, EVER! So I was a bit giddy :rotfl:

the whole gang

and closeup of my Bashful :lovestruc
dis2008-05083.jpg

Then I busted my behind to get over to Norway on time for my ADR. I checked in at just about 2:40pm, I know, I should have gotten there earlier, but I had other priorities. So it meant I had to wait a while before my name was even called to get in line to have my picture taken with Belle. So, I took that time to grab a FP to Maelstrom, since I figured I may as well ride it since my FP window was up. And by the time I finished lunch, it would be time to ride. Perfect.

So I finally made it in, and got my pics with Belle. I did take a picture of that picture, but not until I got home (since the picture is included now, I got to keep it, so didn't feel the urgency to snap away like I did at Tusker), so anyway, it's all the way on the last page of my pictures, and I'm trying to go in chronological order, since it's easier for me that way. Suffice to say, the pics came out nice. And it was nice to be able to take it home.

Lunch was fine, you can read about it in my dining report, as usual. But I will show you the lovely ladies who came around while I ate.

First was Princess Aurora, who told me that we matched. I just nodded and smiled, although, inside I was thinking "Um no, lady, I'm wearing red, you're wearing pink. I do NOT do pink. Thankyouverymuch!" Tee hee! Sorry, the tomboy in me is rearing its ugly head ;) . You can see for yourself, but we will not belabor the point
dis2008-05090.jpg

Next was Ariel. She didn't talk much.
dis2008-05092.jpg

Mary Poppins was more fun! She asked me about where I was from, and how I flew in and told me that my umbrella must be broken, etc. It was cute!
dis2008-05093.jpg

Snow White and I discussed Bashful, as he's my fav, as you already know. She told me he was working in the mines.
dis2008-05094.jpg

Yay princesses! I was like a giddy little girl, since I've never done the whole princess thing in my life. So I had a fun lunch.

Now you would think that my next move would be to ride Maelstrom with my FP, since I was right there...right? Yeah no. I decided I would press my luck and run over to the Land just in case Soarin hadn't run out of FP yet. Well, guess what. Of course they had run out! It was after 4pm, if I remember correctly. And while I had already ridden 3 times, I really should not have bothered to try for another FP, especially since I still had one already waiting in my pocket! So yeah, I'm nuts, and it's a good thing I was alone, cause if anybody was with me and I made them do that walk, just to walk *straight* back to Maelstrom, they would've killed me! Solo trips people. Solo trips. No one to second guess you!

So right. I didn't actually have to go as far as the Land, just to the board that tells you there are no FP left, so yup, I turned right back around, and retraced my steps right back to Maelstrom. Which I subsequently got to ride in my own row. There was a bit of a line, so I was glad I had the FP. And no, this isn't a must-ride for me, but if I can do it, I'll do it. I even tried to take pics of the troll, but they didn't come out too well.
dis2008-05099.jpg

We debarked at the perfect time, just as the doors were opening for the movie, so I got to walk right on through. I hate it when you *just* miss the doors and have to wait 5 mins or so. This, coming from the girl who wasted WAY more than 5 minutes to check if Soarin was out of FP's :rolleyes1

After Maelstrom, then I decided it was time to use my FP for Soarin. I know. I walk around alot. ...solo... So I got to ride in the front row, once again. I was very pleased with my ratio. And with the one time I waited standby (1st thing in the morning), and with my 3 FP's, I never waited more than 10 minutes, which was awesome. And yeah, riding Soarin 4 times in one day, that's pretty darn good too, if I do say so myself. Shows you how dead it was that day, which was perfect for me!

There was one more thing I needed to accomplish in Epcot, and that was to see Off Kilter. I would have included the British Invasion as well, but I think they were off that day. Don't worry, I got to see them another day! But it's a good thing I got to see Off Kilter this day, and my other days then they were off. Phew! I did have to make a pitstop though, over in France. Yes, I know pitstops are usually on the way, not past where you're going, but I was jonesing and I hadn't had one yet. The "one" I refer to is the Grey Goose Lemon Citron Slushie. Heaven! I wanted a drink with my music! So I missed about the first 2 minutes of Off Kilter, but that's okay.

Okay, tangent...know how I'm going through the pictures chronologically? Well, I have pictures with Donald Duck in Mexico! So I'm guessing that was on my way back to Maelstrom. So that goes a few paragraphs up, but I'm just gonna stick it right here!
dis2008-05100.jpg

dis2008-05101.jpg

Tangent over! Back to Off Kilter! I love these guys. They're just a lot of fun.
dis2008-05102.jpg

dis2008-05104.jpg

dis2008-05106.jpg

So after they were done, I was done with Epcot for the day. I had plans in the MK area for the evening, so I needed to start making my way over in that direction. I'm going to start another post for the next part, as I'm unsure of how long this has gotten and how many pictures are in it (worried about going over picture limit!).

next up: evening at MK, and dinner @ Narcoossee's w/BFF parents

Thurs, May 1, Day 2, Part 3

Alright, Off Kilter was done, and I was done with Epcot, and I needed to get to the Magic Kingdom. So since I was so close to the International Gateway, I decided to walk over to the Beach Club to catch a bus to the MK. This worked out very nicely, as it's a nice walk (yeah, I did that walk a few times that day :rolleyes1 ), and once I reached the bus stop, it was only a few minutes before the bus came.

My notes tell me that I arrived at the MK at 6:45pm. Now, I had dinner ressies that I was very much looking forward to, at Narcoossee's, with my best friend's parents, but that wasn't until 8:40pm, so I had some time to play! Once again, I slacked on the notes! But I definitely went on Pirates of the Caribbean because I have pictures, albeit, not very good pictures. "we wants the redhead!"
dis2008-05108.jpg

I also rode Snow White, and probably did a couple of other things that didn't have lines. Oh yes, of course, Pirates and Snow White were no lines, otherwise I would not have bothered. I had other rope drop days awaiting me at MK! So I really don't know what else I did, but at some point, I decided it was time to head over to the Grand Floridian.

My original plans were to have dinner, then monorail it back to the MK to catch Spectro, since I was unsure of when I would actually get a chance to see it. So we'll see how that worked out.

On my way out, I stopped at the Chapeau Shop, because I was on a mission to get Goofy pirate ears, since I had the P&P Party coming up. I had looked in the store by the Pirates ride, but they were out, so they recommended the Chapeau. Luckily, the Chapeau had them, so I made my purchase, and the lady checking me out noticed my birthday pin and told me I should stop over at the Confectionery since it was my b'day. Okay then, that's what I did! And the cashier told me this wasn't normal, but that it was pixie dust, and she gave me a caramel apple for free! So yeah, just my experience, but please don't go in demanding thing, thanks! :goodvibes

dis2008-05113.jpg

Took the boat over to the GF, and I actually arrived at Narcoossee's way early, at 8pm. I'm really bad at estimating how long it's going to take me to get places, if you hadn't already figured that out! :lmao: BFF's parents weren't there yet, so I checked in and let them know that the rest of my party had not yet arrived. I didn't ask for a window seat or anything, I actually completely forgot until I was sitting waiting and heard other people. Oh well!

Around 8:30, my phone rang, and it was BFF's parents. They were in the lobby, where was I? Well, I was in the lobby, and I didn't see them! Turns out, they were in the hotel lobby, I was in the restaurant lobby. Oops! Got that one figured out eventually. Here's the lobby I was in
dis2008-05114.jpg

Also took some pics outside of the surrounding areas
dis2008-05115.jpg

dis2008-05116.jpg

Dinner was amazing! We were seated right around our ADR time, and to my pleasant surprise, were given a perfect window table!!! Pixie Dust!!! It was a perfect view of the Castle, and I was thrilled, since I knew we'd be there for Wishes! I didn't actually take any pics out the window, but believe me, it was awesome. The dimmed the lights and piped in the music, right before our dessert came out, it was perfect timing. And the food, oh the food, really, check this one out in my dining review, because it was just that good!

Now, as the night went along, I realized that I would not be making it back for Spectro. The time was just going by too fast. But I was totally okay with it. I knew that it would work out and I would be able to catch it a different night. And I was really enjoying my time with BFF's parents. They treat me just as if I were their daughter as well, they are amazing people. They live in Celebration, I actually stayed with them during my Thanksgiving trip. So I was really glad I got to see them while I was down there.

After we finished up, they offered to drive me back to Pop, which was awesome, so I didn't have to go hotel > park > hotel. They said it was on their way anyway, but who knows. They'd never tell me it was out of the way! They're just too awesome. So I got back to my room at a decent hour, well, at least more decent than if I had seen Spectro, and got myself right to bed!

next up: morning at the MK

Just started reading your TR tonight and I love it! Great pics, too! Sounds like you're having a blast. I'm subscribing now! :thumbsup2

Fri, May 2, Day 3, Part 1

Today, I hit time a bit better. Don't remember what time I woke, probably around 7 or so. Went through my normal morning routine, and made it to the Magic Kingdom by 8:20am. Now that's more like it! About the perfect time to hit the turnstiles, according to me anyway :rolleyes1

Now, if I had followed normal advice, I would have taken it easy this morning, since I'd had some really long days already, and tonight I would have a really late one again, at the Pirate and Princess Party. But no. The commando in me took over. Eh, I didn't have trouble waking up, and I knew I'd take a nice afternoon break, so I didn't sweat it!

I was at the front for "rope drop", which was perfect. Although, you know at MK, it's not really a rope till you get to the lands. Anyway...normally, my plan would be to hit Tomorrowland and Space first, but since I had that bonus in MK my first day and had already hit some of my favs, I took the "little kid" approach and headed for Fantasyland first! Yay, I get to be a little kid for the day! Got up to the real rope drop for FL, and my first stop, of course, was Dumbo! Yay, Dumbo!

dis2008-05128.jpg

This is how many people were in front of me! Awesome!!!
dis2008-05129.jpg

I got on the first ride of the day, self portrait coming at ya

Mission number 1, accomplished! :thumbsup2 Next up, I made my way over to Peter Pan, with no line whatsoever. Satisfied with having my main 2 FL rides under my belt, I decided to go completely against my normal schedule and head to Frontierland. Grabbed a FastPass for Splash, and rode Big Thunder Mountain, with no line. I decided to go BTMRR and FP Splash, because I didn't feel like being wet for the breakfast I had coming up at the Crystal Palace. Otherwise, I probably would have done it the other way around.

I still had plenty of time, but wanted to start moving toward the main hub, so I went on the Haunted Mansion. Another one with no wait. I was breezing through the park, and loving every minute of it! Next up, I went to Pooh, and had about a 10 minute wait, which kinda surprised me, because it was still before 10am. But not too bad I guess. My FP time was up at 10:10, and my ADR was for 10:20. But we all know that I know how to walk like a crazy lady, so I stopped off at Space Mountain to get a FP, then crossed over to the Crystal Palace. I made it on time, yes I did!

I was seated right away, and had a very pleasant meal with Pooh and the gang.

dis2008-05146.jpg

dis2008-05147.jpg

Now it was time to make use of all those FPs I had accumulated this morning! But on my way out of breakfast, I stopped for a picture of the castle
dis2008-05148.jpg

My window was up again, so first I FP'd Space, then rode with my FP from earlier. I'm all about the FP, if you hadn't already figured that out. I think my brothers are going to be amazed by my powers (:rotfl2: ) when they come with me and my mom in August. So then I went over to Splash to use my FP. Red neck ride shot!
dis2008-05149.jpg

Sorry it's so blurry! But that's sometimes what you get when you red neck it!

I was about ready to head back to the hotel, but since my FP window was up again, and I was walking that way anyway, I stopped to pick up a FP for the Jungle Cruise to use when I returned later. FP the Jungle Cruise? Why not just skip it? Well, I'll tell you all about it when we get there! I know many people don't like this ride, but it holds a special place in my heart. But yes, more on that later!

So I was ready to leave. I had in my pocket FP for Space Mountain and the Jungle Cruise which I would use after my break. I was ready to rest! I got on a Pop bus, and my head hit the pillow right after 1pm. I was pleased with how much I had already accomplished in so little time, and knew that I'd do even more with the Party that night!

Oh yeah, when I got back to my room, this little fella was waiting for me
dis2008-05151.jpg

Second, and last, towel animal I received during my stay.

So I slept. And I slept well. I surely needed it. Probably slept till 3 or 3:30. Nice. Got up and was on my way back to the MK, where I arrived at 4:10pm. Perfect timing! It gave me a bit of play time before my dinner ADR at the Plaza at 4:40pm.

The FP were burning a hole in my pocket, but I figured I'd be cutting it close, so I took my time wandering around the front part of MK. I got loads of Photopass pics taken on Main Street, which I hadn't really spent time doing yet. So that was nice. Sorry I don't have those yet! But I know I got some good ones.

Then I went and walked around Fantasyland, just in case there were any really short lines. In my mind was Snow White, but it actually had about a 20 minute wait, and I didn't have that kind of time, or the desire to wait *that* long for SW.

But I noticed that the Evil Stepsisters and Stepmother were out for pics, and the line was really short! So I jumped right in there. Oh yes, and by now, I was "dressed up" for the party. Which really means I had on a pirate t-shirt and my goofy pirate ears. But the Steps got a kick out of me! We made pirate/dog noises, it was hysterical! Aaaargh-woof! Again, those pics are on Photopass, but there are some really nice ones. I joked with the Stepmother too, but couldn't get her to smile. Nice, she stayed well in character.

By now, it was surely time to make my way over to the Plaza to check in for dinner. I checked in at around 4:30pm for my 4:40 ADR, and was seated at about 4:45pm. Not too bad at all. I was seated in the back area by a window overlooking the castle. But I sat with my back to it, because I prefer the booth type seat to the regular chair seat.

During dinner, there were a couple of nice ladies sitting at the table next to me. They noticed me taking notes, and asked who I was writing a trip report for! Keen eyes ladies, keen eyes! So we got to talking, and I told them I would be posting on the DIS, which they had heard of, but they were on another website, tagrel.com . I haven't made my way over there yet, but maybe they've found me over here. Hi ladies! I ran into them again later in the night, but more on that later!

So dinner was good. When I was done, those FP for Space and Jungle Cruise were still burning in my pocket, so it was surely time to use them! The first thing I had planned at the party was to meet Captain Jack at 7pm, and it gave me just the right amount of time.

So I went on Space first, because that meant less going back and forth, not that I have any problem going back and forth :cool1: . I know that lots of times that I went on Space, I asked to sit in the front, just because I enjoy the experience more, and they accommodated me every time. And I tried to switch it up, one time going left, the next going right. Because the tracks are a bit different. Now I can't remember which one I like better, but I *think* it's left, since it has a bigger drop at one point. Feel free to correct me!

Then I went ahead to use my Jungle Cruise FP. Okay, so the JC story. I'm sure I've mentioned it before in my previous trippies, but in case you're new, here it comes. And I apologize to those that have read it before. Okay, so my dad passed away almost 4 years ago now. And he always had a corny sense of humor. So he absolutely loved the JC. Like, seriously, could have ridden it all day. And we would always make fun of him and want to go on other rides. So he acquiesced us, being the awesome dad he was. But now, I go on it for him. Reminds me of him. So yeah, sappy. But sappy is done now!

Here's a pic of my skipper, he was a good one
dis2008-05155.jpg

I think his name was Chris, and I only remember that because it's one of my brothers' names. But let's go with that. I enjoyed the backside of water, and the butterflies that grow from 1 foot to a whopping 12 inches! I still had some time before I needed to line up for Capt Jack, and Pirates is right there, and it had no line, so I couldn't very well pass it up! Again, taking the right side, because here, everyone thinks they have to go left. And what did it get me??? My own boat!
dis2008-05156.jpg

Since I had the boat to myself, I felt less guilty about taking pics with the flash on. I know, bad Marcia, no flash! But I just couldn't resist!

Not too many, just all the Capt Jacks and "we wants the redhead" once again, cause that scene just cracks me up!

So here is the end of my regular MK day. Everything that comes next is P&P Party, so I'm going to put that in another post.

next up: Pirate & Princess Party!!!

I love reading other solo trip reports and that you are a Jersey girl too!

great report so far! i can't believe you ate at so many table service places alone. i haven't been that brave yet. keep it coming!

Great TR!!!

I do have a question for you though, I thought(or at least it use to be) that you could only have 1 fast pass at a time. Have things changed? (its been 2years since we have been) I sure am hoping its changed.

You're like me, a total commando when it comes to taking on the parks!! :rotfl2: Can't wait for the P&PP, never been, but I've heard great things! :thumbsup2 :)

You make a solo trip look like so much fun! It's great that you're posting so many photos.

Great updates Marsh!!

great report so far! i can't believe you ate at so many table service places alone. i haven't been that brave yet. keep it coming!

ya know, when i first started doing it last nov, i thought it would be weird, but i've gotten used to it. i take the quiet time to update my notes, look over my pics, etc

Great TR!!!

I do have a question for you though, I thought(or at least it use to be) that you could only have 1 fast pass at a time. Have things changed? (its been 2years since we have been) I sure am hoping its changed.

well, technically, you're right. but it's like, i get a FP for space mountain, return time is 10am. sooo, i can pick up another FP after 10am. i don't have to use the space one right away, so now i'm holding 2 FP. so that's how i ended up with more than 1 at once. hope that makes sense!

You're like me, a total commando when it comes to taking on the parks!! :rotfl2: Can't wait for the P&PP, never been, but I've heard great things! :thumbsup2 :)

yeah ya know, i like to pretend i'm not commando, but i totally am :rotfl2: . that's just how i roll! i've got a plan and i'm sticking to it!

and P&PP is coming, i just have to go walk a dog a few towns over. but i promise it will be up before LOST tonight (yes, lost is a time marker for me, i can't wait for it!!!)

Fri, May 2, Day 3, Part 2

So last I left you, I was just getting off Pirates of the Caribbean. It was just before 6:30pm, and I knew that it was about time to line up to see the star of the evening...Captain Jack Sparrow!!!

So I was on a mission. I wasn't exactly sure where he was going to be, so I had to ask around. Found the spot, and there were already about 15 people in line in front of me. Good thing I got there when I did! In front of me was a family of mom, dad, and son and daughter, who were twins. They were so cute! They kept me amused while we waited for the door to open. They almost found out the hard way, though, you need your bracelets to be let in even the door. Hard ticket will not do. They had to make 2 trips, but they did get their bracelets. So just in case anyone was trying to see Capt. Jack before picking up wristbands, be warned!

They opened the doors at just about 7pm. I thought it might be a bit earlier, as I had heard rumors that they were opening around 6:30, but not on this night. So enough blabbing, get to the good stuff! I know you want to see the handsome Captain Jack!

Here he is w/the little twins who were in front of me
dis2008-05161.jpg

He was so sweet with them! Then it was my turn, woo hoo! I got a little shy and couldn't remember anything to say to him! How embarrassing :bitelip:

dis2008-05162.jpg

dis2008-05163.jpg

He was perfectly in character! I'm so glad I knew the Dis tip to get in line before it opens, because I was out by 7:15pm, and the party was just starting! And the line was huuuuuuuuge by then!

I knew that Aladdin's Training was starting at 7:30pm, so I hung around in that area to catch the show. It was cute, teaching the kids how to use their "invisible" swords to defeat the evil Jafar!

dis2008-05166.jpg

dis2008-05170.jpg

dis2008-05172.jpg

The show ended around 7:50, and I decided it was about time to stake out my spot for the parade. I got the perfect spot on a ledge right in front of Pecos Bill's. Seriously, perfect. Right where the parade started, so no wasted time afterward. Here was my view as I sat waiting

dis2008-05177.jpg

And the parade was so great! I took way too many pictures, here are just a few of them.

Okay, that's just a few, like I said, I took way too many! I had a great vantage point, I think I've found my new favorite parade spot!

Once the parade was over, I hightailed it over to Big Thunder Mountain RR. No line, since no one had gotten a chance to get over there during the parade. So that was awesome. Then I decided I would head over to Fantasyland to see what I could do over there. On the way, I saw this guy

dis2008-05239.jpg

There was a dance party going on with Sebastian, so I stopped by to watch the kiddies having a ball.

Most of the lines were pretty much like 20 minutes in FL, but I checked out Pooh, and it wasn't bad, so I went ahead on it. Before I knew it, it was time to head to the hub to catch the fireworks. It's so easy to find a spot when you're by yourself, lemme tell ya. Just another perk of the solo trip ;)

Remember before how I told you I saw the ladies from dinner again later that night? Well, this is where it was. I stopped in the hub, decided on my spot, and lo and behold, there they were! Small world I tell ya. So I asked if one of them wouldn't mind taking my picture, of course they obliged me

Yep, there I am, all decked out in my pirate gear. Aaaargh-woof :lmao:

I think I'm in this one too, but we tried it with no flash, so you can't see me

(sorry, had too many pics, had to split it up into 2 posts)

Then it was time for the sky to light up with fireworks. These fireworks were so awesome! Again, I took way too many pics

With the fireworks done, and no second parade to wait around for, I was left to my own defenses for the rest of the night, and I just did whatever I wanted to do! First up, I wanted to ride Dumbo. Cause it's fun to be a little kiddo! Self portrait

I did have to wait about 20 minutes to go on Dumbo, but I really thought that wasn't bad. And it went by pretty quickly.

After Dumbo, I was walking by Snow White, and it had no wait, so I gave it a spin. I always hope to get into a "Bashful" car, but I never get one! Oh well, some day... wave bye bye to Dopey

Another ride with no line was the Tea Cups, so I literally took a spin on those! Haven't done those probably since I went in 2001, never felt the wait was worth it, but with no wait, why not? I spun that sucker as fast as I could! Nice workout for the arms...haha :rotfl: . So when I got off, I was a bit wobbly, but that was sure a lot of fun.

Since I was going over in that direction, I decided to keep going toward Tomorrowland, to check on Space Mountain and Buzz. Space had a wait of about 20 minutes, and I didn't feel like waiting for it. But Buzz was a walkon. I got a horrendous score, I wrote it down, I don't know why. It was 64,800. That's okay, it was fun as usual.

Walking back to the hub, I noticed that there was a scene set up for photopass pictures, so I stopped off, and they were nice enough to take a pic with my camera too.

Then, I had a couple more missions for the evening...get a Dole Whip, and get pictures with Cindy's carriage and whatever characters I could. You see, I've never had a Dole Whip before. Sacrilege, I know. I went for the float with vanilla softserve. Cause I thought the pineapple softserve would be pineapple overload. I know this isn't my dining report, but oh well

It was really good! And only 1 snack credit. I have no idea how I've missed these before. Oh wait, I'm totally lying! I've had a regular dole whip before, back in November. Just never a float. Okay, so kinda not lying then :rolleyes1

Then I went to the back of Fantasyland to get my picture with the carriage. Um, I think I'm a bit mixed up here, because this sounds like I crisscrossed the park a few times, and I don't think I did, but you never know with me! Anyway, everything I've told you I did at *some* point in the evening ::yes:: . So no pics w/the carriage yet, as they're all photopass, but there was this topiary in the area

Yeah, Buzz must have been later, because as I was in that area, I know I wanted to get in line to see Pirate Mickey and the gang, but I arrived at 11:32 and they shut down the line at 11:30! The horror! Oh well, nothing I could do about it. So I decided that was my cue to exit. By leaving a bit early, I figured I would miss the crowds at the bus stop.

On the way out, who should appear but Pirate Mickey! He was just walking around near the train station, but he wasn't allowed to stop for pics or autographs. I did manage to get a few pics as he went by

So that was pretty good luck on my part, as I had just missed him in Tomorrowland. That Mickey sure does move fast... :rotfl2:

The Pirate and Princess Party was so much fun! I loved the parade and fireworks, and everything else I got to do on top of that was just gravy. I doubt I'd do it with my family, because that would mean multiple tickets and more money, but for me, it was totally worth it.

Then I walked to my bus and took the trip back to Pop. Went to bed straight away, as I had an early morning awaiting me at the Animal Kingdom the next day.

next up: early morning @ Animal Kingdom
