MARCHing Warriors!!!

I'm thinking about corraling up my girls and doing the March of Dimes walk in May. It's 3.5 miles. It will be my charity event.

The surgery was successful!!! It's gone! If everything goes smoothly he will get out of ICU in 24 hours! Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to pop in like this, but your team thread came through on my email, and I saw Marci's post, so I just had to stop by...

Marci, I'm so glad your aunt's husband is out of surgery and they were able to take the less invasive route. I'll keep you all in my thoughts--this is rough for you and your girls, too--that things go smoothly and he's out of ICU soon. (Love the charity event, btw).

Did 2 miles today. I've been letting life/work take over. I've decided to focus on being more consistent. If I can only get out for 20 minutes, so be it. That's the plan anyway...:rolleyes1

Marci- so glad the surgery went well! I meant to post this morning. I'm glad to see a good update!

Kate- yes, living in (ok, near) Florida is great, but I spent a year in Reading in college and am so jealous of you running around your village. I picture precious thatched roofs, tiny colorful doors, and clever pub signs... (maybe my memories are getting confused with postcards:laughing: )

Thank you both! I appreciate the thoughts! :grouphug:

Happy St. Patrick's day Warriors! :shamrock:

Marci- I'm glad the surgery went well! pixiedust: on a speed recovery!

Michelle (speedy) - congrats on a new PR! I predict there will be many more in the future.

I actually made it to the gym 3 mornings in a row!! Ran on the TR Sunday & Today, went to spin class on Monday! I'm getting back into the swing of things, but it's still hard to get up in the morning due to daylight savings time...ugg

Cheers! :drinking1

Marcie: I am soooo glad that everything has turned out OK. Positive thoughts going your way!

AFM: I went out after work to the local park and got in a good 4 miles. Back at a good pace!! Almost as close as my Princess Half pace. Time for the walk was 56:04. DId some good stretching afterwards for about 15 min.

Marci, glad everything is good news. Hope recovery goes well.

8 1/4 miles in 1:15:45. Warm and humid, I wasn't loving the run, but I got it done.

Here's what it looked like when I was done.

(Edited)

I'm off shortly to the blood bank to make my 99th donation here in Hawaii. My total is something like 120 when you count my California total. But who's counting? :confused3

For those who can give blood, please do. And if you can not, at least recruit a friend or family member to donate. Give the gift of life.

Jeff that is an awesome number of blood donations! I was proud of my 8!!! It's all about getting the next colour membership card :rotfl: Funnily enough i got a call from blood donor group today, can't donate for 3 months *** i've been to the US! Promise i'll be back tho. Great run, especially given the conditions.

Marcie so incredibly pleased things have gone well, will keep you in my thoughts until he's all recovered.

Tracy and Jen man i really hoped you'd say- no it's all just a vacation dream, it's actually an awful place to live. Unlikely i know :goodvibes Hmmm different coloured doors and thatched houses don't really exist in my village, they do down the road tho! That's cool, you came to Reading Jen. My dad worked there for a bit.

Marcia gym three days in a row is staggering. You must be in such good shape to be able to do that!

Had 30 mins physio today, only wanted to hit him once so that's an improvement. He said my ITB is like a guitar string it's so tight. I replied 'sorry!', he replied with a deep muscle massage. We also came to an agreement that once boston's done i'm going way back to basics to sort of running style and strengthen up. This will NOT be the end!

keep it up everyone

About 2 hours of cardio at the beach yesterday doing water rescue training.

Also still feeling the effects of being sick. Ugh.

Hi all.

Jeff, love the pics!

Marci - glad things went well - continued good thoughts coming your way.

Tracy - way to go on the pace!

Did 2.5 miles today before running out to get some errands done.

Have a good night all!

Jeff: Wow! :worship: That is a lot of blood donations! I'm at 14, which seems rather small, now. :goodvibes

And I have yet ANOTHER cold this week! It's not even the same one as last week, but a completely different one! I should have known better than to hang out with my cousin's sick kids all weekend! :rolleyes1 So, Jack the German Shepherd and I are spending a quiet evening in while the fiance is out at a work event. My March totals are going to be pretty dismal, but I figure it'll just make me feel that much more impressive when I double it in April. :lmao:

Also, our tax refunds came back this week, so we are finally OFFICIALLY registered for the WDW marathon. It feels good to have it be done; now I can't back out!

Ooops, I must've made a mistake. I donated for the 100th time in Hawaii (plus 20 or so in California). So today I made the Century Donor list!

free money to spend at disney, what could be better!

Tracy

What could be better...you could take me with you! Happy early birthday Freckles, Pinky Pistols, Wet noodle lasher, Racey Tracy...:bday:

THANKS JEFF!!

You can come along if you wish, get on a plane and come on over!!

Tracy have a brilliant time and a great birthday- i really don't think you need an excuse to head to disney, but presents off disney always helps!

Sarah thrilled that you're heading to disney for the full. A little green, but still very excited for you.

Stacey great work fitting 2.5miles in when you're so busy. makes it extra impressive.

Did 7miles on TM 60 mins and 15 mins of stretching and strengthening work. Only a couple of days til my parents get back now, just as i've got used to being home alone :rotfl:
