March 6th, 2010 7 Night Western

Thanks for all the help guys! That's pretty cool...they have reviews of the rooms as well! I also just found a map of the ship that had the rooms color coded by cat. Thanks again!

I have talked to another tour operator in Grand Cayman and they will also take a group of us to the "Reef", "Coral Garden", and "Rum Point" for snorkeling. If we can get 15 people the price would be about $45 per person. That is a pretty good price but would not include lunch at Rum Point, you would have to purchase your own. The tour company is https://www.sotoscruises.com/AboutUs.htm

Most of the tours include a stop at the Stingrays and we have already done that and wanted to do something different this time.

If you are interested in this send me an eMail or PM me.

Julia,
Can you start an area (maybe on the first page, first message) that list everyone's name, age, room (e.g. Cat. 12), maybe a photo? We did this on our last cruise and it was pretty good to see them all in one place. Below is the link to our cruise Meet page. The one that started it was the one that was able to add stuff to the page.

Please include us in the FE...
Cindy and Daughter Cara 18
This will be # 21 for me and #16 for Cara
No room assignment as of yet...looking forward to those last minute upgrades like the rest....

platinumcruzer, you are added to the FE :)

Maria21989, do you want to be added to our FE list?

All- I am planning on trying for an upgrade at the port. I think the idea of posting room numbers with updates on someones door is great. Who would volunteer to host the page?

Maybe when it gets closer and all of us that are GTY get our room #'s someone for sure will want to do this. I will when i get my room number. I don't mind!!

What excursions are everyone taking at the different ports?

Key West: Just walk around
Cozumel: Rent a vehicle or hire someone to take us to the East side of the island and shop some downtown
Grand Cayman: Snorkeling at the Reef and Rum Point (we have done this before)
Castaway Cay: Snorkeling (pretty good if you swim out a ways), eating, relaxing.

Some photos of our last trip taken by my son

Your son is a great photographer. Did he do anythgin special to get the colors to appear so vibrant?

He normally uses Light Room for editing his photos. It is quick and does a pretty good job. The main thing is good lens. He also has a pretty good eye for color and composition. He is currently in law school at Notre Dame and does not have much time to take many photos but will for sure have his camera on the cruise.

I noticed that there were no Cat. 12 OR Cat. 11 rooms listed for our cruise. What does this mean? Filling up?

Hope not!! Just saw they are giving out room assignments for the 2/28 sailing so this one is next!!

Which 2/28 cruise?

<

I'm sorry I messed up:confused3 they are giving the room assignments out for the 2/28 wonder sailing. Not sure why I was thinking that was the Magic but that's the 27th. I wonder if they have gotten there's yet. Rooms should hopefully be assigned soon!!

So, we should all plan a meet the first day. What time and where would be good?

I was thinking 3:00pm at the Promenade Lounge, on the last 3 cruises I've been on that has been the time and place and has worked out great, but if anyone else has any ideas where and what time it could be share it here and we can all decide:cool1::thumbsup2

So I hope everyone is doing well today. I'm counting down the days till the cruise, can't wait:cool1::cool1::thumbsup2:thumbsup2:goodvibes:goodvibes

I think that's a good idea. On my last cruise we brought the kids too- this way they already could meet some other kids before even going to the clubs. I know my DS hung around with a boy he met at the meet the entire cruise!

on all the cruises I've been on it has been for both kids and adults, heck I'm 21 and I even met kids on a cruise that I would see around the ship after meeting them at the meet and say hey. Great to get to know as many people as you can on the ship and fun to see the kids excited about being on the ship:goodvibes.
