Will the next code release include July? Or will I have to wait even longer?

Did I read somewhere that they don't always come out first thing in the morning? Have there been times when the AP rate would come out in the middle of the morning or may midday? Just thought I would ask that. Does anyone know?

Thank you for posting. I must say though if my memory serves me correctly we knew by Monday they were coming out Tuesday. A CM told someone that called that they were pending. I think we even knew sometime over the weekend which would be today. I'm still hoping Tuesday is the day though.

I do remember there was no advance notice for the Disney Visa codes last spring so I'm calling Tuesday anyway. :flower:

Thanks for the heads up! I am anxiously awaiting codes, too...for FL residents! My dates are May 6-8th...going just the DH and I to celebrate our anniversary! But if no codes=no go! I am not paying $185 a night (water view, includes all taxes) to stay at POFQ!!!

The codes that everyone is waiting for will most likely go up to July 4. July 5th begins value season for deluxe resorts. We are leaving July 6 so most likely I'll have to wait for the next round of AP discounts. Last year they were released May 5th. Who knows , maybe they will release the whole summer at once. That would sure reduce my anxiety level!! :flower:

Since CMs all seem to say something different, you can take this for what it's worth...but I just spoke to a CM that said they're being told that FL resident codes "probably" won't be available this year. She also said that they are expecting AP codes any day now.

According to www.mousesavers.com last year's AP rates for this time period were released on 3/9. Maybe coming out Thursday if any come out at all. They may have filled enough rooms at rack rate and AAA rates so they won;t need to offer AP discounts (not likely, but possible).

I don't want to make anyone angry and I don't want get flamed, but Disney really needs to be careful about what they do in the next few weeks. Not offereing FL resident codes...it will disappoint a large group of people. Not offering AP rates will do the same. Even not offering general public codes will have the same effect because many people know that special pin codes are floating out there. I think it will leave many people saying "why?" It may have the same back lash that the special Disney Visa 7 for 5 deal had last spring on the cardmembers from day one. Yes, Disney is a business and yes, they can market anyway they want....

Yes, that's correct. Sometimes they come out later in the morning. I think it was 2000 when AP rates came out on March 25th. We all had advance notice (about a month or 2 prior) that they were coming out on this day. Everyone got up before 7:00 am and started calling as soon as CRO opened. No APs. They did, however, come out a couple of hours later. How the CM at CRO knew this date that far in advance is beyond me. :confused3 But the date was correct. Evidently the CM knew what he was talking about.

I know there were other dates as well where they didn't come out till later, but that one always sticks in my head. I sure hope Tuesday is the day!!

Maybe that's why they don't tell the CMs anymore because I bet this caused a lot of trouble for CRO when they weren't out right at 7 am.

Disney will offer discounts if they feel they need them to fill rooms. I am not sure why "Disney needs to be careful" If the rooms are full at rack rate it makes no sense to give discounts. (And what Back lash was they 7 for 5?)

All the rooms are full because everyone is waiting on CODES!!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

then what a mjor stampede to the phone lines for everyone to rearrange their schedule and to make the trip . . . . .I would not want to have that job!!

Luckily I have my DVC and I am waiting on a code for one night--but I am prepared to pay what I was quoted for a cash ressie night through DVC/MS

I meant "careful", because they may tick a group of loyal Disney goers (AP holders and FL residents). It was in reaction to "no FL residents rates would be released". Yes, they may still keep filling rooms from now till the end of time and maybe it won't have an impact on their resorts being booked with no codes, but I do think that many people book hoping for codes and will cancel all together or move off property only because they cannot afford or refuse to pay rack rates. That's all I meant. I think they are smart enough to realize this. They have to know that people book hoping for codes with the numbers calling asking for AP/FL rates that already have ressies. Yesterday I called and asked for AAA rates for AKL poolview and was told there were none. When I wasn't going to book and didn't want the Sav View at the AAA rate that was available I'd wait, the CM said..."oh, I think I can get you that rate." When I called earlier and asked for AAA to apply to my current reservation...they just said none available. I thought that was weird.

That's why I said at the end...Disney is a business...maybe they really don't care if they tick off a loyal group. Many companies don't. I've seen a change for the better with the catalog too so maybe they will be loyal to their good customers. I've stated before on different threads that the Disney Stores didn't have a great track record for treating its loyal customers well. I referred to the stores when I was talking about this.

Disney Visa cardholders that were members from Day One were not happy about only new cardholders being elibible for the 7 for 5 deal. Bank One/Disney (don't know who decides for sure on the deals...Disney says Bank One, Bank One says Disney) eventually allowed anyone to get the deal if they applied by a certain date. Originally, it was only the people who received a special in the mail. To say that cardmembers were a tad bit upset is an understatement.

Right now, no one knows anything except the pencil pusher crunching numbers in some office in FL. I'm hoping the pencil pusher didn't do that well in math and calls for a massive release of codes :earboy2:
