We are staying at Pop. The group includes me, DH, DS (18) and DD (20). This is my son’s graduation trip. We last visited in December of ‘18, so it’s been a while.

I qualify for a DAS and have my calendar set to arrange for that 30 days before check in. Do you think we will need Genie+ in addition to the DAS? I realize the DAS does not eliminate waiting, just allows to wait elsewhere instead of in line. Will the crowd level necessitate the extra expense for Genie+?

I will need a park bag to carry needed items, this will include medications, water bottles, a change of clothes (for me just in case), phone chargers and our camera. So I need a bag that is large enough for all of this.

I will have some some wheels on some days (I have MS), I haven’t decided if I will take my wheelchair or rent an ECV. I also haven’t decided if I will take wheels to the MK. There are so many rides there that it may be more trouble to ride than walk.

Can I use my wheelchair or rented ECV on the sky liner?

It depends on what rides you go on if you need Genie+. My DM rented a wheelchair for each park day the walking is too much and she does not go on any thrill rides but the ones she went on had a special line and special cars she could take it on for the most part. For Navi she had to roll it up to the boat and step in. For shows and show type attractions was directed where to go and either was in the front row or back row. We were there Thanksgiving Week and it was packed not sure what your time will be like.
DH and I needed it for the rides we went on just ourselves and the ones she joined us on. We were glad we had it.

We usually have a backpack as a park bag.

The Skyliner has separate line for wheelchairs and ECVs which is for a special car which stops and allows time to get on with your family.

I have to rent an ECV now to get around the parks. I rent from an offsite company unless I'm there just for a weekend. I use Gold Mobility.

I use it to get from area to area and then walk after parking it unless I'm having a bad day - then I ride it through the attractions that allow that and just walk to the ride vehicle ie: Seven Dwarves Mine Train.
I spent one evening without the ECV in Hollywood Studios since I didn't book the offsite one for that night and there weren't any available that late. Not a smart idea. I took my time and sat down alot so didn't get as much done as I thought I would. I was just thankful I wasn't in too much pain after.

I use a regular size backpack like Jansport for my stuff - I don't always need one that big but I like to shop and put my shopping in that since there is no more sending it to the hotel gift shop for picking up later.

And the Skyliner does have special car areas to stop at to allow an ECV or Wheelchair to get on. It's easy. But I don't like heights and of course it stopped several times during the highest point of the journey and I was by myself so that made me nervous.

Enjoy your trip!

You do not need to use Genie+ with DAS. DAS is basically a better functioning Genie+. When I used it this fall I regretted not buying the Lightning Lane for Remy, as my boarding group kept moving later and later in the day and that sort of triggered a meltdown. With the money you save on not buying Genie+ you can splurge on the premium attractions.

You can get on the skyliner with a wheelchair. I assume you can do the same with an ECV.
