If you post it they will come..... :thumbsup2

Maybe we need some excitement?
ok we need to keep bumping this up towards the top so that maybe we get a few new posters....but then again I like the idea of a less crowded cruise!

Excitement???? What do we say...."LOOK AT THE BIG DISCOUNT I GOT ON MY CRUISE"???? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Excursions: Have any of you thought about excursions yet? We haven't formally talked about them yet, although hubby says no parasailing for him and DD#2 says that's what she's doing on Castaway Cay.

Hey a girl can dream can't she??? LOL :rotfl2: Big Disney ship, only a few families at each pool, perfect weather, my own cabana boy ( oh yeah that's what the hubby is for!)
Just trying to keep us bumped near the top or atleast on the first page.
Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's on our March 31st cruise!

Thanks :thumbsup2 I'm a Dad..and cruising :woohoo:

Is that as in DisneyWorld or DisneyLand???? I haven't been to DL in about 6 months and need to go back soon.

Ahoy mateys!

Excursions...can you believe we haven't told our kids yet??? So it's hard to plan any excursions. In 2004, we did the dolphin excursion in St. Maarten which the kids loved but once is enough. We also did a snorkeling excursion in St. Thomas that was kind of disappointing. My DD went parasailing on CC but "adventure girl" thought it was way too tame! I guess she expected way more thrills...

So we'll see about excursions. Mostly my kids love a beach wih great waves for body surfing. Any ideas???

Let's keep this baby up front!

We're going to DW, never been to DL. Some day though....

Minnie- Can you remember the name of the excursion from St.Thomas that you didn't care for? I know there's a few in our group that is thinking about the parasailing at CC. Other than that we haven't really talked about it much. We did do the dolphins when we were on the Magic in Mexico and the group loved it! We had some great trainers so it made it lots of fun.

Hi guys!

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you - I've been ouot of town. Anyway, the St. Thomas excursion was called the 5 Star Snorkle Beach Adventure. Here is a link explaining our experience:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=504012

I never did hear anything about why this happened but several cruisers said the excursion companies are sometimes limited in terms of how many boats can be at one beach. I just know that we were so excited to introduce our kids to snorkeling (bought our own equipment, etc.) and this excursion did nothing to spark their interest in the sport. Maybe this cruise we'll find another option! We have read that Trunk Bay is an excellent snorkeling destination.

Any one else thinking about the cruise these days?

While I am thinking about it once in a while...like when I make payments on it :-) I've been making ressies and getting ready to make ADRs for our DW trip in Jan. I did just get the cruise video though, I'm holding onto it to show to the kids around Feb. I think about a month out I'll let them know about it and so they can start to get excited. Any sooner and I think they will fizzle because its so far away.

dpuck - I'm jealous you are doing WDW in Jan. and the cruise! I see you are staying at BCV. We stayed there in a 2BR a couple of years ago and have stayed at BC and YC. We love that area! As long as you are in that planning mode, I'd love to hear about some of your plans. How long will you be there? What ADRs are you planning? Activities, etc.? It's funny because I was just talking to my DH this morning about needing a WDW fix (at least me and the kids need one!) I'll have to live vicariously through my fellow Disers!

Okay, I'd be happy to feed your addiction :wizard:

We fly into West Palm Beach on Jan 17th and stay with inlaws for 4 days. Then we all drive up to Orlando the 21st and stay at CR on the 14th Floor for one night. Inlaws leave the following day (most likely take 1yo DD with them) and we goto BCV (our first DVC stay with our own points) for 4 nights.

Right now I'm waiting for hours to come out and EMHs so I can plan the days. But I do have a tenative layout. Since we are at CR one night with inlaws I'm thinking of hoping the monorail to narcoosses that night, eating early and watching fireworks from our balcony that night. Then Chef Mickeys in the morning, head to MK and get DD (1) first haircut. Hang out there for a while and head to BC in the early evening for dinner and checkin.....

I'll keep you informed at planning progresses....

14th floor at CR!! :thumbsup2 Very cool. You will have to let us know how that is. We've stayed concierge at GF and BWI - love GF! I have stayed there probaby 10 times (only RPC twice) and there's just something about being so close to MK and on the monorail. Though I do love the YC/BC area, too! I guess that's why we almost always do a split stay.

I love Narcoosee's- we've always had good experiences there. It will be nice when the hours are out so you can firm everything up. Keep us posted on your plans!

Hope you all have a great 4th! I'm headed to our lake cabin Thursday and won't be back to the city until next Wed. Can't wait to escape! I think my sister and I will be telling our kids about the cruise this weekend. I've downloaded the ship's horn on an MP3 and we plan tp take the kids out on our pontoon and play the horn a couple of times and see if they get the hint. Should be a fun surprise!

Oh, I have never been to DisneyWorld and won't be able to this time either although we are so close. We are going while the kids have spring break, they only get a week and since they moved up into new schools this year(high school and junior high) we didn't feel good about having them miss any days. Oh well someday! :lmao:

WOW, almost didn't find us....we were way back on page 4...so I'm bumping us up!
I wonder now that summer is here if we'll get a few more families to join us? I think about the cruise daily...especially when it's 100 degrees and the thought of standing on the top deck with the wind blowing around...aaaahhh

Page 4! We can't have that! I posted on the main board and was asking how to check cruise capacity. Anyway, I went to cruisestogo.com and it looks like there are avout 10 cabins open on Deck 7. We were thinking my parents might possibly join us so we tried to check availability! So there are a few people cruising with us!

I saw your post and read all the replies. I went to that cruisetogo site too just to see any of the other cruises...already want to book another one and haven't gotten on this one yet. Was actually trying to really convince my mom into going (just her and I) on a Nov. or Dec. of 2006 since we both have "big" birthday's coming up. :rotfl2: She loved the idea....but it was just that, an idea. LOL

Just trying to bump us up towards the top :cool1:
I have to get my DIS board fix at least once a day! LOL
Ok question of the day....are you planning on re-booking while on board?
I think we are going to try. Since we have such a big group, not sure in everyone is planning to do that also but my family of 4 is going to "try".

we are not planning on rebooking onboard. This is our first cruise and even if we love it, more than likely it will be every other year. We visit family in Florida in Jan, so usually our other vacation during the year is something new.

To keep you all updated on my Jan trip, our hotel ressies are made for 1 night at 14th CR. 4 nights at BCV. We have hours so my plans are finialized with the exception of making ADRs but we have them all picked out. We got our tickets for the Prince/Princess party on Jan 22 too :-) We are excited about that! If anyone wants more of breakdown let me know and I"ll be happy to post my iten.
