I've only gotten one response on the FE so far. Don't let the year slip away from you if you want to participate. I'm going to say we lock the list as of Jan 1, 2013 (barring extraordinary circumstances) so folks have time to plan/prep/produce their FE goodies. What does everyone else think?

Wow, just think....next Easter we are going to be living it up in style!

I'm going to be watching this week's trip reports closely to see if anything special is done on the ship...you would think they'd at least have some type of egg hunt. Our theory is that Donald takes over the Easter Bunny's duties on board the ship...should make for an interesting Easter Morning! I'm counting on them having some special items in the gift shops to help top off the Easter baskets!

Yes we are going to join in on the FE's so I'll be sending off a PM eventually..we had a great time on the Dream with the FE's last year!

Love seeing all the new reports coming in from the Fantasy...sounds like they corrected a lot of the issues that were causing problems on the Dream. Some were talking about pictures from the Aquaduck...are they now taking pictures as you fly thru it? Very cool new feature if they are!

Everyone have a very Happy Easter! Can't wait to celebrate with all of you next year!

We just booked this cruise today and we are already counting the days!

I'm Tonya, DH is Scott (gruZ on the disboards) and we are traveling with DD (Katie, 14) and DS (Matthew, 11). We just got off the 4/1/12 sailing of the Dream and loved each and every minute of it!

I'll join the FB group too - I know my kids are so excited to meet new friends and "hang out." We are excited for new ports and 7 WHOLE nights!

Just off the Dream last Thursday. Now officially counting down til next spring break. Looking forward to the many Indiana people on this cruise.

We are very interested in the FE, and I will PM our info soon. We broke into two groups on our most recent cruise and that made the list much more manageable.

We are officially joining this thread. I booked the 3/23 & 3/30 fantasy cruises on opening day because I was not sure when Easter break would be. We got word of the dates last week and we are going western. We are going on the 7/28/12 eastern so it will be nice to do both itineraries.

We are very excited to have just booked this cruise yesterday. We booked a dummy date while on-board the Wonder in February and moved it to this date yesterday once the school calendar came out. Looks like the ship will be full. There were only about 10 cabins total showing up when I booked yesterday.

This will be our third Disney cruise and first time on the Fantasy, first time Western. We are so excited to see the new ship and experience new ports.

It will be me, DH, DS (10 at cruising time) and DD (8 at cruising).

Looking forward to getting to know you all. We are thrilled that a DISBoard friend from our Wonder cruise will be on this one too!!

Yeah! HilaryS reminded me I had better check out this thread! I have done little to prepare for this trip so far so I need to get reading up on the Fantasy! We have sailed the Dream and Wonder so far and have loved every second of them! We will definitely be in for the FE! We are a family of 4...DS will be 10 and DD will be 6 at cruise time! Looking forward to getting to know you all and rekindle some friendships too! Happy planning everyone!

hello all! just off the magic on friday (13th) from its eastern Caribbean cruise and we had an awesome time! we booked this cruise while on board and are now counting down the days 349. we did the FE's this trip and it was really fun, my DD age 8 loved all the little goodies. our group was very manageable with 7 families. looking forward to this great adventure.

We booked this cruise back in October, transferring a placeholder reservation we made on board the Magic in August. We booked a cat 5C for the 4 of us for about $5300 (after the 10% discount).

We just got off the Crown Princess. While we enjoyed it, we definitely think there is a Disney Difference in many little ways. The dining rooms were certainly a bit quieter on Princess (compared to the Magic in the Med anyway) but we enjoyed the food, cabin, adult areas, and service more on Disney. My kids had a great time on Princess but still prefer Disney as well. Disney "makes it more fun" says DS9.

On Princess, we traveled with good friends and their DD who is close with my daughter, but DS was the odd man out. He needs a bit more entertaining than my daughter who is growing more content to relax on a lounge chair. We hoped he would make a friend on the ship but this didn't happen. We would really love to travel with another family next year that have both a son and a daughter so the kids will all have companions. BUT, prices have skyrocketed. Checking availability tonight, there is only Deluxe Family Verandah cabins available for 4 people- over $8000. When I put in only 3 people, there are many categories available but I guess this is a capacity or lifeboat issue. I doubt that any of my friends will pay $8K for this trip.

So do we switch to another cruise line so we can travel with friends or just go? As I am writing this, I suppose I can use these boards to help facilitate a friendship for my son (who is actually very friendly and makes friends easily) ahead of time as perhaps somebody else will be in the same boat (sorry for the pun).

Any thoughts? Do you think availability will change over time?

We are WDW regulars, but this will be our first cruise! It's overwhelming to get my head around everything, but I have plenty of time

We are a family of 5 & we booked 2 rooms. Sailing will be Me, my DH, DD 14, DD 12 & DD 1.5.

I have one question - what is a FE gift?

I can't wait to see the Fantasy in person. I have watched a few online videos of her- BEAUTIFUL! Hoping to get to spend LOTS of quality time exploring

Hi everyone!
We booked this cruise while we were on the Dream last week! We were on a 5 night Double Dip and had a GREAT time! We also sailed on the Magic last year. It will be my DH (Phil) who will be celebrating his birthday on our sail away day!, DS (Jeremy) who will be 10 when we go, and me (Mary). We are definitely in for the FE! Loved it on the last 2 cruises. I'll also be sending a friend request to get in on the FB page. It made this past cruise so much fun!

Wow, lots of newbies! Welcome to the group! I see we even have another Michigander in the group!

West & East...I doubt the availability will change for our cruise since I think they only allow so many kids on each sailing. Odds are there's someone in the group that you DS9 can make friends with to hang out with...I know my boys are on each side of him agewise. One will turn 11 just before the cruise (& will have to decide which club he wants to hang out in) & the other will turn 8 just after the cruise. On the other hand I know it's fun to go with a family you already know...check rates on the other cruiselines & go from there. They may all be crazy expensive by now since it's Easter week!

I have to admit I was excited to see the Muppets on board...nice to see that they made a comeback! I can't wait to track down Pepe's cabin...definitely a Diser with all those magnets!

Wow! are prices ever increasing!! Since we booked in the middle of Jan our category has in creased by 1575.00!!! So glad we did not sit on the fence and wait! Also 2nd seating is only showing as available now!
