IF DW's can vote??? Aren't our votes worth doule or triple the weight?? :stir: I like the second too.

Our group is growing... :grouphug:

ejkjmom- if you liked the three day, you'll love the 7. On the second trip you'll feel like you have a lot more time to relax and enjoy since you already have some of the rountines down and you won't feel like you have to fit it all in.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone even better of the next (LONG) 10 months...

:ssst: mmmmmm let me think.......yes we like the 2nd one as well... :) actually they both look great... but if your asking to vote between the two then we go with the 2nd .... you must be pretty handy with the the computer????

I was kinda thinking the same as far as DW's opinion... alanapapa, I'm afraid that you are soooo out numbered on this thread :) but we're glad you here

My vote's for the second one!

So what's everyone's dining? Early or late seating? We're late seating!

Welcome Qball! You sound like us - we got hooked after our first cruise last winter, went again this past February and thought we couldn't go again for another two years ($$), when DH's very generous uncle paid for us to go next March. We are incredibly excited - even going for the third time in three years, we still get a "magical" feeling just thinking about it.

Our DS will be 6 1/2 when we cruise next year, and DD will be about 3 weeks shy of 4 (going on 14 mind you!) so I'm sure our girls will be in the OC together.

Looking forward to "virtually" getting to know you and hearing about your new arrival in September - DS's b'day is the 9/28 and he's a darling boy with a great temperment so maybe you'll want to wish for the 28th... :goodvibes

Hi all...sorry been MIA for awhile...was sick...and not due to baby either...
Johnna, thanks for the well wishes...MY birthday is Sept. 18th and ...there are TONS of people we know in sept. I'm hoping that this one sleeps thru the night earliers than at 6 months and that during the first few months of lack of sleep that it will be WAY easier to put the baby back down after feeding. Our DD woke up every 2 hours to feed and took another hour to put down...ahhhh. Some say, that your second is alot fo times, opposite your first. Although DD is a great tempered kid (just a hard newborn), I'm not sure opposite of her is better or not.

During our last cruise, DD was hardly in teh kids club. She was very sick by the time we arrived in Orlando and took about 1.5 days to recover. So she was pretty much ok by sunday. We took her to the kids club that afternoon to see if and stayed with her. It was free play, which she enjoyed, with our company, then it was some sort of song/story time and she wanted to leave because "it's boring" she said. She never asked to go back nor did we take her back (too many other things to do onboard) until DH and I managed to get a brunch Palo ressie on THursday, and uncle by that time was pooped getting up early every morning, so we let him sleep and took DD to the club where she learn "How to be a Mouseketeer" and she loved it but still never asked to go back. She has literally talked about eh Disney boat everyday since we have been home, and has never mentioned the club. We had so much fun with her. We went to WDW for two days after and she has never mentioned that at all.

Well I'd better catch up on my reading...I see we've gone to page 5.

We had late seating our first cruise...not by choice, but it worked out really well for us, in fact, early seating would have been too early, so good thing the wait list didn't come into effect. This time we requested early and got early since we will have a 5.5 month old.

Wew hew!!!!!! It's official, were cruising too!!! Lets have a dismeet in our stateroom 8022!! I'm so excited, it will be myself, DH, DS 13 and DS 3, our second time on the Magic, last one was Jan. 06, too chilly and we all got sick on the last day!!! I know March will be wonderful!! So happy to meet everyone!! :cheer2:

Is this a suite stateroom? Sorry I dont' have a ship plan handy right now. We sailed march 2006 and the weather was really good except for the day we left port...it was windy and freezing but warmed up as we headed south.

We were going to book a cat. 6 with verandah for this trip (due to baby), but after our one day of rough seas, we were happy that we were down on the lower deck. To us, the swaying the higher we got, was just too much for us, so we rebooked back down on deck 2...just in case.

We have early. We adjust fast.

Hi all! I haven't been around in a while...things have been REALLY crazy at school (I teach first grade) and with the kids (both have birthdays coming up and I had to plan their parties, DS just started Tae Kwon Do, and DD just won the speech meet at her school which means extra afternoon practices before the Regional Meet in May...all that in addition to piano, choir, and an ongoing 3rd grade history project!) I've hardly had time to think! :sad2:

Anyway...we currently have early seating...but I'm constantly questioning whether or not that is the right thing for us. If it weren't for the time change, early would DEFINITELY be right for us, because we eat early (between 4:30 and 5:30) on a regular basis, and we like to have family time after dinner before it's time for bed. We had early on our West Coast cruise last year and it was perfect. But I'm worried about how long it will take us to adjust to the time change and if that will make early seem TOO early. But I figure it's easy to change over to late if I change my mind...not so easy to switch from late to early...so I'll keep it as early for now.

Indea88...The DIS meet in the suite sounds fantastic! We did that with fellow DISers on our last cruise and it was great to put faces to the names we'd been communicating with for so long. And it was nice to "know" some people when you saw them around the ship all week! Thanks so much for offering your suite for the event!

alanapapa...LOVE your signs!!! I like the 2nd one too...if I'm forced to choose! We had fun making doorsigns for our 1st cruise, and look forward to doing it again!

Now that we're under the year mark, I just KNOW that time is going to fly and we'll be meeting before we know it! :grouphug: I look forward to getting to know all of you!

We had early seating but I just had it changed to late, we eat late at home and on our last cruise we had late and it worked out fine. So late it is!! :woohoo: I was jumping at the chance to have the meet, we really never met anyone that we had talked to on the boards the last time because there wasn't a meeting place!! I have heard some talk about the meets on the ship and they had a great time... I believe with advance notice they may be able to have food for us in the room!! Or maybe that was the Walt or Roy Suite? I'll check with them!! Andie DW :flower3: Jeff DH pirate:
Devon DS ::yes::
Derek DS :hyper2:

I guess I should of said, "if YOUR DW can vote, then I vote for the second!" I agree, at least double or triple the weight! It looks like sign 2 is getting the votes!
We didn't get to meet any other Dis'rs on our last cruise. Came close, I guess I was even in one of their pictures on Pirate Night!

Just think, next week our airline tickets will go on sale! Are people flying in the day before or Saturday? If the day before, where are they thinking of staying Friday night? We are probably flying in Friday, but don't know where to stay yet.

We have the early seating...we had this on our first cruise and it seemed to work fine

mommykeg: I can see that you too have earned the title of a "Multi Tasking Mom" ..... tell your DD that we said congratulations on winning her speech meet..and GOOK LUCK with Regionals,

Of course my DW gets to vote and if she wanted option 1 then we might have had a computer glitch which deleted the second option. :teeth: But since the majority of the votes cast so far are for the second, we don't have a problem. I did notice and I hope I don't get myself in trouble for mentioning it, but the only voters (other than myself) seem to be the DW's. :rolleyes1

We have early seating - it worked well last time, except the kids didn't want to stay up late for the Pirate night party. This year, I'm going to the pirate deck party even if they decide to go back to the cabin to sleep! I figure I can hang out with you guys! Anyway - we'll still stick to early seating for dinner.

Alanapapa - I'm sure my DH will weigh in when he gets a chance to catch up. I'm sure if he knows what's good for him, he'll also vote for sign 2. :)

Indea, the host of our last Dismeet was in a suite, not the Roy or Walt, and they did have food set up. You just need to call ahead of time and let them know what you want. Something cost extra though so we all gave the host a little cash when we got there. And we all brought some drinks too. If you need help planning it, let me know, and I can check with our host from last year.

Finally - Caropooh, we are probably flying in on Thursday and will probably stay at the Radisson. That's what we did this past Feb. and it worked out great. We go an extra day ahead of time just in case there is a snowstorm - not as likely in March next year, but we also enjoyed the extra day of vacation. We did a one-way car rental so we weren't stuck in the hotel and could venture out to different restaurants. Highly recommend Grills (at the marina) and Durango's steak house.

Aren't "multitasking" and "mom" redundant?? :rotfl2:

Just wanted to say "HI".....there hasn't been any post in awhile...I'm sure everyone is keeping busy..I always say there more things to do then time to do it in :) DD's started there Spring Break today, as I'm sure most did. Gotta love those long weekends YAY :cheer2

We will probably come in on friday.. it will be kinda late when we get into Orlando due to the fact that I don't want the DD's to miss any more school then they have to.. and we have a 2.5 hour drive just to get to our airport :crazy2: and it is a 4 hour non stop flight.. and... orlando is 2 hours ahead of us...I'm thinking of taking them out of school around noon, and finding a flight that would put us in FL no later than 10:00 p.m.... i'm patiently (or maybe impaitently) waiting for tickets to go on sale..and then waiting and watching for a GOOD deal :hourglass ... don't know for sure about a motel, as this part is all new to us...Do you normally rely on the shuttle service from the motel, or do you make your own arrangements??? Last March we used the Tiffany Town Car Service to get us to the port from the Nick hotel and then after the cruise we rented a car, as we spent the day at KSC. We had good luck with Tiffany... but I'm sure there are cheaper options out there... how far is the port from MCO???

I'll look forward to reading more post from everyone..... Have a Great Weekend & a Happy Easter :Pinkbounc

I think if you're getting to MCO so late, you might just want to stay there at the MCO Hyatt and take the Disney transportation (or a town car if you've had a good experience in the past) on Saturday morning. Arriving at that late hour, you probably won't want to wait to get the rental car, drive the 45 minutes to PC/CC - even though it's an easy straight shot - and find your hotel, check in, etc, etc. I know with the two small kids, and after being on a plane 4 hours, I'd probably just want to crash. We've not done this, but I've heard that a lot of folks do this especially if coming in so late. Search the main threads (or start your own!) to see what the recommendations are.

Personally, we'll probably repeat what we did last year - come in Thursday mid-day, rent a car and stay at the Radisson. They have a starbucks in the lobby... :Pinkbounc

We are planning (hoping) on taking a Redeye on Thursday and just hanging out resting on Friday. Right now the flights are too expensive. Almost $400 per person RT. If we wanted to leave around 7 am on Thursday the flights are start around $250, but we don't want to pull the girls out of school for 7 days if we can avoid it. :confused3

We are also thinking of finding a room for Saturday night and flying out early Sunday.

We haven't decided if we will rent a car or take a shuttle/town car.
