Do I have these numbers correct? I used Disney's site along with Disney Cruise Blog for the information.

Disney Fantasy- 4 night- March 25, 2026
2 Adults

Oceanview-
$3,313- opening day price
$3,293- current price
$2,373- discount price/restrictions

Verandah-
$3,601- opening day price
$3,581- current day price
$2,573- discount price/restrictions

Thanks!

Correct. But dag gum. That's some good discounts. And before the paid in full dates?
Yes. I don’t understand why DCL releases guarantee rates before PIF date. That is leaving money on the table because everyone can cancel and rebook without penalty for the lower price. Except concierge.

Exactly. It is making me think I should really start studying and tracking these opportunities.

Obviously because they aren't selling rooms on this sailing. They could hold off until 3 months out and hope people book at last minute, but then you run the risk of losing customers to other Spring break plans. The people that do cancel and rebook are locked into non-refundable rates several months in advance with no turning back. Seems like a win for DCL.

Its a win for both. Especially if they release the heavy discounts before the paid in full dates. DCL fills up the ships and the customer gets a nice discount in return for some trade offs. I haven't kept up with DCL in the past years, we'll since 2011 but I think 2026 could really be a year of heavy discounts for DCL.

The Treasure cruise that same week (leaving 3/21 I think) also has restricted rates on it already at a big discount from opening day rates. I think that’s also before the PIF date even though that PIF is 120 days out.

Wow.

I think this is a school scheduling thing. I'm guessing most primary schools have the week of 3/30-4/3 as spring break (as ours does.)

That's reflected in Treasure prices:
3/21-3/28: $6,641 Veranda
3/28-4/4: $10,374 Veranda

And in the Fantasy prices:
3/25-3/29: $3,436 Veranda (4 night)
3/29-4/3: $7,366 Veranda (5 night)

If you don't have to schedule for a spring break the week before Easter, you can definitely find some good deals this year in March.

Yes it could be, but I still think the prices even with the discounts are insane. 2026 will be the first year I haven't cruised on DCL since 2010, but that's okay I don't need to overpay for something I've done numerous times. If prices normalize I may or may not be back we will see how the next year goes cruising on Royal and NCL.

You think those are good prices???:faint:

Everything there is in March, so they will be higher. But if you can move back a week in March, you're certainly saving a lot over the Easter week.

It's no late January / early February, that's for sure. But we can't do those cruises anymore with the change in school calendar.

Yes, that looks right. Note that the lowest prices are for restricted view rooms.

Just a clarification...the view is not restricted but the booking parameters have restrictions such as paying in full at time of booking, no changes, no cancellations, etc.

Of course with any GTY booking a view could possibly be restricted somewhat with a beam or overhang but that's not what restriction means in the OP's example.

I was unclear — I was talking about the lowest fare for regular bookings. The prices quoted for Oceanview and Veranda rooms were for slanted portholes in the Oceanview and undersized or restricted views in the Veranda cabins. Prices are slightly higher for “typical” windows and verandas.

Hoping this bodes well for a good discount for the Treasure this fall... I really want to sail on her but I have the Destiny this winter (and two non DCL sailings between now and Feb) and I will not pay those insane summer prices

That is true too. Reason I haven't continued to sail with DCL. The only reason I am considering next year is because three out of the four parks at the World are construction zones.

Bet it will. We have paid full price for 3 cabins on the Treasure this year. Any future sailings will be VGT bookings. For us, the Treasure doesn’t command the top dollar prices DCL wants to charge. Bet we aren’t alone in our assessment.

The Wish grew on me (not even close to my favorite but I like it more than the Magic) so I think I will enjoy the Treasure so fingers crossed you are right. Honestly everyone I have spoken to on DCL sailings are saying the Treasure is their favorite (and I have met lots of pearl cruisers who have sailed with DCL for years and years). I hear Treasure, Wonder, and Fantasy the most these days (in that order)

We will be Pearl this summer. Most of our sailings have been on the Fantasy. We have sailed the Treasure twice this year (took our adult sons with us in October). Every long term cruiser we chatted with on the Treasure preferred the Fantasy (us included). Our adult sons loved the Treasure and want to sail on it again - but they love baking in the hot sun on the adult only sundeck :). I am sure we will relent and take them again - only booking VGT though.
