March 25, 2006- Anyone else?

Well, I still think we're going to end up at Cozumel, maybe as the first Disney cruisers to return there, because I'm a natural-born optimist. But if we instead end up at Costa Maya, does anyone know what we will all do there?

Whatever -- we're easy -- we just want sun :sunny: , water :sail: , fun :cool1: , and good people party: , and I know we're gonna have all that!

Called Disney last night- we are still scheduled for Cozumel...
Keeping an open mind and if we go somewhere else, I'll treat it as a day at sea, which really are the best of all!
I booked palo the within hours of when I could- got what I needed but I have heard they keep most ressies for on board booking- couldn't get a spa time I wanted-hope that is the same story. I have alwys picked up ressies while on the ship Palo I usually do right away and the spa is when they run specials in the navigator-

Can't believe we are getting so close! :Pinkbounc

I just went to look at my ressie and shore excursions....we're going to Costa Maya. I did see good posts on the main board about nice beaches. Oh well... :sunny:

me too! ... 'cause I read your post, I checked my reservation... it says Costa Maya..wonder if they will change it back to Cozemel? it is over 1 month away.( fingers crossed) .. well to do some research on Cost Maya , so we have a backup plan. Think I will rent Against all odds to see the Tulum ruins.

Majahual Beach is highly recommended on the main boards. I don't know how to tell you to find it but the original post is by goiu. It looks amazing.

It actually looks amazing so I am not that bummed out. I really wanted to swim with the dophins in Cozumel and that was closed anyway. :thumbsup2

We aren't beach goers so i am going to check the boards for ruins tours and other fun things...

It is surprising they would decide this so far in advance, especially because word is Royal Caribbean is still heading to Cozumel. There are two Costa Maya beaches mentioned in this thread -- the picture of one there looks fantastic for those of us to whom a slow day in the warm sun with the sound of the surf and an occasional Corona or margarita sounds just right about now (30 degrees with an inch of snow).

I called DCL and it looks like it is Costa Maya in stone.... or should I say sand?! Boo Hoo.....

thanks I am going to check these links out...

ok I signed up for the ruins tour... many rave about going with an outside group and I would have booked with them but DH is not comfortable with that, so we signed up with DCL..

Geffric, were you able to book your Disney excursion online? I just tried and it didn't bring up anything. I called Disney and was told they would release available tours in 2 weeks.

Hmm. that is strange.. I booked it online yesterday ..

i am off to check my reservation and see if the online booking took..

Hi nu cruzer lots of Chicago area families on the cruise thread.. one can tell it is our spring break.. LOLare you erly or late dinning?

nu cruser, I called yesterday and they told me just to keep checking the site. They had to delete all Cozumel things prior to allowing Costa Maya excursions.

I was able to book today. We are still going to see ruins. We have booked the Chaccohoben Mayan Ruins. My parents were there last March on a HAL cruise. They said it was HOT and to take lots of water! but very interesting. I really want to see pyramids as I doubt I will ever make it to Egypt.

Just a note, my folks wanted me to know that we should take a few pesos or quarters along as they were charged to use the bathrooms. Plan on taking money for tipping the attendant as well. My mom said that when they were there the young women with babies were in charge of cleaning the bathrooms. You just can't walk by and not put anything in their jars.
