March 22, 2012 Dream SSMC Reunion AKA "It's all Gary's Fault" Cruise

Good morning!

Mary - thinking of you and sending lots of pixie dust and prayers your way. So glad you had an enjoyable weekend too.

Thanks everyone for keeping your eye out for a Barbie Video Girl. No need to go out of your way. Just if you are out and see one keep me in mind. I really do not think anyones going to find one at this point but since we cover such a diverse area I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

I really hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. I still have some shopping to do. Being sick a few days last week really set me back but no worries. Unfortunately Lauren woke up not feeling well. She complained of her stomach hurting and she would not eat breakfast. I tested her just to make sure she wasn't just trying to stay home. There was one piece of pumpkin pie left from her party yesterday. I said, you don't even want this piece of pie? (When she would not eat her waffle) and she would not touch it. So, I knew she was not feeling well. Am I a terrible mother for testing her?

Let's all get through these next few work days and enjoy the long holiday weekend.

Mary for your office vist. Glad you also had such a great weekend.

Dave - I have Thursday and Friday off for Christmas. How about you are you open all week?

Chris - That is normal for me. I get up around 3:00AM during the week. Tomorrow and Wed I will be getting up at 2:00. I will get out the rest of the week at 12:30. I normally get out at 2:30. My boos told me go for it so I am. Glad the girls had a good concert.

Lisa - Good luck. I looked and no luck. Let us know if you find it.

Thanks for the good thoughts. The news is good, numbers are all normal and I don't have to go back for 3 months. Now the news from my regular doctor isn't so great as my diabetic number is too high so I go back and see him in 3 months and need to get it under control with diet and exercise, something I've really slipped up on lately. So all in all I'm very happy.

You too Lisa. Sorry Lauren wasn't feeling well. It is a real bummer being sick on Christmas. And I say this as I remember one year my girls both being sick before Christmas and my dear MIL offered to take care of them and said she wouldn't be sick and she was so sick on Christmas Eve. I felt horrible. Worse than horrible. So I hope all sickness is out of your home by Friday.

Oh, Flo. I wish you could sleep a little longer in the morning. But I understand. I wake up at 4:30 to use the little girls room and can't get back to sleep. Then the alarm goes off at 5:30 so I'm up early any way. What time do you go to work? Hope you get some sleep this weekend.

Well, today at work we are having our Christmas lunch. They are trying to close the courthouse for an hour and a half so we can all get together for a meal together. Our County Sanitarian is a really good cook and he is cooking for everyone. Should be nice.

Well, they are talking about a big storm coming for Thursday night/Friday for here. Looks like we could have a messy Christmas again this year. We are thankful that all of our family we do Christmas with only live within a five mile radius of one another - if that. Except for DH's sister and if she can't make it, oh well. Won't hurt our feelings.

Good Wednesday Morning Everyone!

Last night was the girls Christmas Vocal concert and all I can say is Becca Rocked last night. I was just so proud of her. She has been fighting a cold and throat problem but she got through her main solo superbly. She had me, my sister and my Aunt in tears. The song she sang she had been telling me for the last four years that was what she was going to do for her Senior Solo, so she has known that song for a long time. And she was wonderful. Now her solo in O' Holy Night she did have a little problem with because it was higher and she did crack but that is ok. It was still an excellent performance.
