Good morning everyone - happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a busy, but really fun one.
Saturday we went up to Milwaukee for the night. Had dinner at Mo's Irish Pub and then to the Christmas concert by Blarney. They were supposed to have an Irish Storyteller as well like last year but for some reason he didn't show. The concert was very nice, but it was strange without Chuck there. Chuck's brother Ed (the founder of Irish Fest) did get up and say a few words at the intermission about some things happening this year in Chuck's honor. One is a special music set at Irish Fest that will be in memory of Chuck (which we were expecting and look forward to) others are community events that Chuck started (blood drives, community clean ups, etc.) At the end of the second set one of the band spoke of losing Chuck as well and how they will continue to play but are working out the details. We got a chance to talk to Kevin and Dennis at the end of the evening and wish them a Merry Christmas. There was also a raffle at the concert to benefit the local food panty (which the proceeds from the concert also went to as well as the food we brought). Mark bought $10 worth of tickets and we came home with 2 prizes! So in all we came home with a puzzle, an Irish Fest sweatshirt, an Irish fest t-shirt, an Irish Fest mug, an Irish Fest shot glass and 3 Irish Fest hats!
Sunday we had breakfast at Cracker Barrel on the way home and then mid-day went to see Tron in Imax 3D. Good movie and Imax is an awesome way to see it. Last but not least we had dinner out at Buca di peppo (hope I spelled that right

). So all in all a very fun weekend.
Now it is back to work with the holiday fast approaching. The nice thing for me is that the next two weeks are casual at work (jeans ok) and I'm only working Monday and Tuesday! I do have a follow-up visit with my oncologist today so if you can keep me in your thoughts at lunch time.
Have a great day everyone!
Lisa - good luck on finding Barbie. With no kids I can't tell you the last time I was in a toy department.
Chris - hope you enjoyed Christmas with your Aunt and the holiday concert.
Dianne - good luck with final prep for all your house guests.
