March 2012: Spring Break, Here we come! Threadjackers take over the world!

Okay Ladies, since we are talking about sewing I would like to tell you about my newest project. No, not sewing, but something similar. DH and I took a trip to the fabric store yesterday for this project...

We are recovering our dining room chairs! We have an antique dining set and the chairs are in BAD shape. DH basically has to rebuild the seats of them since they were kind of woven underneath. He is builing board bottoms to them and we are putting new foam stuffing and re-covering them. I got a GREAT DEAL on the fabric at Joann's...$9 a yard for upholstry fabric!!! The whole project (6 chairs) is only costing us $100! Woohoo! Just wanted to share with my "crafty" friends about our DIY project...

Congrats on such a great deal for your upholstry fabric. I used to scout around all the stores trying to find a good deal on upholstry fabric that I liked for the Ren Faire. Yes, I wore upholstry fabric on my court dresses. I just stayed away from the ones that had a rubber backing. Not good in the heat.

Don't worry about threadjacking Lidian, I do it to her all the time. Don't I Liddy?

Thanks for posting the cruise link.... I am so sure that DH and I could find SOMETHING to do for 2 hours while DD was on a cruise

YAY for DTD time. I have actually been debating adding a day at the end somewhere because our last day in June MK is open til 1 am. I will want to stay all day but we will want some sleep before driving for 10 hours. hmmmm i am still chewing on that one!!!

Your updated plans still look great (what could not be fun about WDW plans?)

Part of going to WDW is visiting DTD ... so I was sad, but I didn't want to give up park time. I vote for adding a day.
