Still trying to figure out what to do in Key West and Grand Cayman.

Hey y'all - I just checked in on line and they make you choose your arrival time. Best to get checked in early and grab you arrival time. Last summer we went on the Oasis and we were assigned a time to show up at 1 - we showed up earlier without a problem.

Hey y'all - I just checked in on line and they make you choose your arrival time. Best to get checked in early and grab you arrival time. Last summer we went on the Oasis and we were assigned a time to show up at 1 - we showed up earlier without a problem.

Just finished our online check in and was able to get 10:30. Hoping that when I update it in a couple of weeks when we get our passports that it doesn't make me repick my arrival time again.

Greetings all! Wife and I will be joining you on this sailing. Upgraded to a balcony room this time due to a wonderful gift from Disney after being on the "unfortunate" event of the Magic getting caught up in Castaway Cay for an extra day!

Welcome - I updated your info on page 1 post #6. if you want to be a part of the FE - please know we have a cut off at 30 days to give everyone enough time to plan!

I can't wait to hear what it was like on board the fateful cruise first hand!

Lucky you! We are actually staying at BLT (rented points from a DVC member) for 3 nights before the cruise. Can't wait to stay there!!!

Any advice?

We've stayed there twice so far - once in the 1BR, and once in the studio. The studios are a bit squished, but there are only three of us and we managed. The 1BR was great, but we found we just used all that extra space to spread out our mess!

We had lakeview, and both times got a pastoral location looking out over the Contemporary Resort marina. DH and I loved to unwind there and watch the boats come and go.

Some people love the decor at BLT, while others find it not to their liking. We enjoyed it a lot. It's nice being close enough to walk to MK. We've used all the restaurants at CR, and thought the food was really good.

You can use the pools at both the hotel and at BLT. The BLT pool is a bit small, but we never really found that to be an issue for us. DD loved the slide, and soon found friends so we could lounge nearby. I know some people on the boards have complained about the fact that you check in at the Contemporary, and that all the shops are there, but that doesn't bother us in the least.

Thanks for the tip to check in online. I've done the paperwork now, and put us down for 11 a.m. We have to return a rental car, so who knows how long it will be to process that and get on the shuttle.

We plan to do the meet. Not sure about FE's yet. Trying to determine if I'll have time to pull it off. Don't want to stress out to get things ready. How many FE's are we up to with kids?

Second Seating
Day 5, Palo for dinner (will try to change on board, not sure about missing Pirate night?)
Key West, trolley, aquarium, lunch/cocktails at a local Food Network recommended beachside dive.
Booking a jetski tour/stingray/snorkel from outside tour group for Grand Cayman
Haven't decided on what we'll do in Cozumel yet

Thanks papertraveller for the BLT info! I'm not sure if we'll have time to check out the pool but we'll try. We have stayed at the Contemporary before and know how convenient it will be to walk to the Magic Kingdom.

I had heard that the studio rooms are small but we are going to squash the 4 of us into one anyway since it's only for 3 nights. After that, 2 rooms on the Magic (even though they are the standard inside ones) will probably feel spacious!

Doesn't matter either way to me. March Magic is what is on most of the logos that have been made. I am cool with that.
