I finally made it through reading through this entire thread. I had popped on in December to join the conversation and join a FE group, and then life happened. I'm hopeful that I can actually participate more regularly now. This is going to be our second cruise; our first was a 4 night on the Wonder back in 2010. We're looking forward to a longer cruise.

Now that I'm here, I have a few questions. First, is Palo worth the extra money? If so, would you recommend brunch or dinner?

About the FE group, when will we know whether the last 2 families on the list are participating? Thank you papertraveller for coordinating all of that!

Hi we just booked this cruise and are very excited as it is over our 7 year old daughter's spring break! This will be our 2nd disney cruise, we have only been on the disney dream and LOVED it!! This will be our first 7 night cruise and first time going without our extended family! We did the FE last time...and was hoping we could added to a group...on the smaller size?? Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction? thanks so much!!! Molly

Hmmm...10 posts? I've already been sending and receiving PMs. Maybe my pixie dust ran out and that's why lltthatsme had problems sending me something.

We actually have sunshine today, which has brought the temperature up. I hope it keeps going. I'd be happy with CC's current temperature of 70.

Thanks, everyone, for your responses about Palo. I think I will schedule a brunch for the DH and I. We were originally scheduled to take a cruise for our 20th last April, but we ended up having to cancel those plans. We rescheduled for this cruise and decided we'd take our daughter along, so perhaps a really, really, really belated anniversary brunch is in store.

Picking up disney mail tomorrow from the TA. We have been buried in snow here! Also the family has been sick. A vacation is looking so good! Also it is so close!
This weekend I made the family fish ender. Thanks for some help sewing by my mom. So excited!

On another note, can you explain to me how the FE gifts are to be delivered? Is there a schedule by cabin-or is it random throughout the week? Just checking.....TIA

You deliver when it's convenient for you. There isn't a schedule or required process. Part of the fun of the FE group is the surprise of discovering that you have received some FE gifts (and surprising others with your delivery!).

On our last cruise we gave small items and made multiple deliveries throughout the cruise. This time we're doing one delivery.

Keep in mind that the FE group should be fun!

Did anyone sign up for Xplor park, or xcaret, or xel-ha in Cozumel? We chose our excursion, and we're happy with it, but wanted to check availability for those other ones (just in case we changed out minds) and they are all gone! I wouldn't have thought they would be very popular given the higher ages and extensive travel time. Did anyone see them offered early on?

I am new to DIS and just booked our cruise today ( 7 day Magic on March 15th). We don't know our room yet either. This is a mother daughter trip and I would really appreciate it if we could join a FE. March 17th will be my birthday I will be 29 and my DD is 6. This is a very special trip as it couldn't of been possible with out my father who passed away Dec 19th. So with my insurance money I am spoiling his little girls. The FE gifts would be extra special for me and my DD.

Forever Losh yes, we decided no schedule just whatever day works for you! I'm really excited for it. Last trip we really enjoyed the FE.

3 Goofys I know xcaret was at least initially offered but I dont know of anyone here doing it. We had one member considering but changed her mind due to travel time.

Hello and welcome Dcheftimmons! What a fun thing to take a mother daughter trip! So exciting! Our FE is closed but with new people joining I would think you could start a new group. Paper traveller had been in charge and I know she mentioned being willing to start a late comers FE list. My last cruise we had a late comers FE that started pretty close to the cruise and ended up with like 6 families!

What's everyone doing for excursions now that we have so many new folks....we are doing a trolley tour on/off on our own in Key West, Botswain marine park through DCL in Grand Cayman, Dolphin encounter for DD3 and I and Dolphin swim for DH and the older kids at Chankanaab park in Cozumel and we have nothing planned on CC.
